I was charged for something I never knew about nor approved. A monthly subscription charge. Was never told, didn't see it when checking out. It's a scam and others are being charged as well. Be careful buying from them. Their BBB score is 1.3.

Scammer Alert

If I could give zero stars, I would.
I placed two orders two months ago — I only received one, and the other never arrived. I called several times asking for a refund, and they told me they could only refund **50%** of my money for an item I NEVER received.

To make matters worse, I later discovered they had been charging me **39.99 every month** for something I never signed up for.

This company is a complete scam. **Do NOT buy from them.

Please DO NOT BUY!! Block them from new Charges!!

Please DO NOT BUY!!! I bought one piece of jewelry (a ring) from this merchant for my wife for Christmas, and it seemed legit starting out. In fact, my wife saw an ad for these people on social media, sent me the link, and said I want this ring. I said OK just wait for Christmas! HOWEVER, shipment was delayed and after inquiring to get the ring in time there was no answer from them. You can only send them a message via their "contact" page on their website. No direct email, no customer service number to call...just their message box on their contact page.

Anyways, never heard back and got the ring over a week late after Christmas. I said OK, fine, whatever...at least we got the ring wife seemed to like it, so just leave it there.

BUTTTT...there was a $39.99 charge about a few days later at the end of the month. Very confused. For whatever reason I forgot about it (lots of life happening stepping into the new year), so I was charged again just now in January! Same charge AND to a new debit card I recently got! How in the world could they charge my new debit card???

Sent them another message obviously, and crickets. Nothing. Called bank right away and explained everything. Got charges reversed thankfully and this is very important, had them DEACTIVATE the digital wallet which can allow a merchant, like Alder, to continue to charge you even if you get a new card. PLEASE have your bank deactivate the digital wallet for them, and/or block them as a Merchant so you avoid this happening ever again.

Terrible experience, and these guys should be shut down imo. Please just buy somewhere reputable!!!

I had a very disappointing experienceVery Disappointed — Poor Quality & Unauthorized Subscription…

I had a very disappointing experience with Alder Jewellers. First, I was signed up for a VIP membership subscription without my authorization. I never knowingly agreed to this. I had to contact them to get the charge refunded, which should not have happened in the first place.

On top of that, I just received the ring, and the quality of the center stone is ridiculous. It does not look like a quality moissanite or diamond alternative at all. The stone looks glassy, lacks depth, and does not have the sparkle or clarity that was advertised. It looks and feels like a very cheap simulated stone.

The product does not match the expectations set by the photos or descriptions on their website. Between the unauthorized subscription issue and the poor stone quality, this experience has been extremely frustrating.

I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Title: Unexpected charges, misleading refund policy, and no proper customer support

On January 2nd, I placed an order with Alder Jewellers for one ring totaling $34.18. On that same day, an additional charge of $6.98 was applied to my card without my knowledge or authorization.

While waiting for my order, another charge of $39.99 was applied on January 15th, again without my consent. I was never informed that ordering a product would result in a membership charge, and there is no clear disclosure of this on their website.

I received the ring on January 19th and was immediately disappointed. The product was advertised as being shinier than a diamond because it was moissanite. In reality, it was not sparkly, and the gold color of the band looked very cheap and low quality.

Their website states multiple times that customers may return products within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked. The same day I received the product, I emailed them requesting return instructions. I sent six emails, submitted two website forms, and responded through a marketing email they sent me. I never received a response, but I continued to receive daily marketing emails.

Since email was the only contact method listed on their website, I went to my bank to dispute the charges. My bank provided a phone number for the merchant. After waiting about 20 minutes, I finally reached a representative.

I was told to keep the product and offered only a partial refund of 40%. I explained their website clearly states a full refund within 30 days. The representative repeatedly refused and only offered 40% or 50% refunds.

When I asked about the unauthorized charges, I was told:

The $6.98 charge was for an “extra ring” that I did not request or agree to.

The $39.99 charge was for a “membership” that I never signed up for or authorized.

There is no clear disclosure of these charges during checkout.

I requested to return the product and receive a full refund as stated on their website. The representative refused, repeated her partial refund offer multiple times, and would not escalate the call to a manager, stating that she was the only person available. The call was then disconnected, and subsequent calls were not answered.

Based on my experience:

Multiple charges were applied without my consent.

The refund policy advertised on the website was not honored.

Customer support was unresponsive by email and unhelpful by phone.

The product quality did not match its marketing.

I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

This company is a huge scam! Claims you signed up for a subscription that you never signed up for and tries to charge you $40 a month. Called to find out why they charged me a second time for the ring I ordered and they said that I signed up for a subscription, I did not. Definitely do not buy from thia company, still haven't even received the ring yet.

⭐️ Zero stars if that were an option

⭐️ Zero stars if that were an option. Completely unethical experience.

I purchased travel rings from this company so I could leave my real diamonds at home while traveling internationally. The rings arrived significantly too large, and when I attempted to return or exchange them, the company became completely unresponsive.

Then I noticed a $39.99 charge on my credit card (the day I emailed re: size issue) a charge I did not authorize and that was not disclosed at checkout.

I contacted customer service before filing a chargeback to give them a chance to fix it. The representative gave me the runaround about “canceling a recurring charge” but avoided addressing the unauthorized charge that had already posted. When I explicitly requested a refund, I was told it was “not possible.”

I was then pressured to accept a 50% refund for a charge I never authorized. I refused and demanded a full refund. Only after continued insistence did the representative claim she would submit a request for a full refund despite previously saying customer service cannot issue refunds.

I’ve been told it will be refunded, but I’ll believe it when it actually comes off my card. If it doesn’t, I will be filing a chargeback.

Between lack of responsiveness, and unauthorized charges, this company is NOT trustworthy. Buyer beware!

I bought the buy two get one free for $60. They sent me two and I never got the third free Ring. I emailed them. They responded and say to send them documentation supporting that I bought that one. I sent them two screenshots from my email, and from the order and never heard back from them. Clearly, they don’t want to make anything right with any of their customers.
