There is no one out there better than Alert! Thanks to Jay, I passed but more importantly, I feel like a confident driver. Jay is not only an excellent instructor but also a true mentor. He has a way of making everything clear and straightforward while keeping you focused which that can make a huge difference on the road.

What really stood out to me about Jay was his attention to detail. Jay is like a perfect hawk, never letting a single fault slip by. It’s exactly what I needed to ensure I was prepared for my practical. His commitment to helping his students perfect their driving is remarkable.
Beyond driving, Jay is attentive to you as a student. His wisdom and guidance are invaluable. I truly appreciated how approachable and open he was, always willing to talk and offer his best advice in any situation.

Words can’t express how grateful I am for Jay. I previously came from another driving instructor where I felt like my money was just being taken and i wasn’t being taught well. However, through one of my friends, I was given Jay’s (Alert Driving School) contact details. I started taking lessons with Jay and they were great. He is a very good teacher and is patient. He taught me everything I needed to know in my first few lessons and I was doing mock tests before I knew it. After each lesson he would properly explain the mistakes I made and what I could to do improve. Also, his car is a great car and it was enjoyable to drive. Besides this, Jay is a really chill guy, you can talk to him about anything. I always looked forward to driving lessons and I’m so glad I found Alert Driving School. Without Jay i couldn’t have done it. Once again, I am so grateful for Jay and the incredible support and service he has provided to me. If you’re looking for a driving instructor this is the place to go without a doubt.

5 stars isn’t enough to accurately represent my experience with alert driving school. My instructor (Jay) was great from the start, he relieves your nerves and makes driving for the first time less scary. Whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism, Jay’s friendly approach seriously helped me drive without stress. He always patiently answered every one of my 1000s of questions and his knowledge/ skill is hard to come by. I recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive- even those with busy schedules! Passing my exam was bittersweet and all thanks to Jay, I now understand why he was recommended to me as he is a great instructor!!

Well, where do I start there should be an option for 10 star!. First of all I would like to thank Alert Driving School - (Jay) for getting me passed in such a short period of time. I started my driving lessons 1 year ago with a different instructor with lots of gaps and not been able to get a test booked and to be honest was not happy with previous instructor. I then decided to message Alert driving school as Ive been following Jay on instagram for many years and seen how he has a good pass rate from his posts.

From the first day of starting my lessons with Jay he has made me feel so confident and at ease he explains everything so well I honestly dont have any bad feedback or criticisim to give him and appreciate him for going out his way and getting me test ready in such a short period of time, I passed my test today first time wohooo! , a little advise for any new students driving with Jay make sure you are eager to learn listen to his feedback and fix your mistakes dont challenge him on any feedback trust me this man knows what he is doing! big Respect for you Jay I will actually miss driving with you and your lovely smile! 🙂

When I applied for my driving test four weeks before my other instructor was on holiday for 3 weeks, which led to a week before my test. So I asked anyone for a driving instructor and I was recommended Jay, and he helped me for the whole week before the test by sacrificing his time for my test date and I passed thanks to him.

Wow honestly amazing . The whole time was one I’ll never forget Alert driving school pushed me, made me believe in myself. Helped me along the way. I really couldn’t fault Alert driving school at all!! Highly recommend. Worth every penny. Got straight to the point never messed around. Truly amazing

Well, well, well… where do I even start. Jay has been amazing and I owe him so much. From never sitting in the drivers seat, to passing with few minors in only a few months. Jay is the most patient and friendly instructor you could ask for. I will miss his lessons and his laughs and will absolutely be sending my brother to him when he’s ready to start driving. There is no one else I trust more for the job. Not only have I achieved a pass at 17 but also gained a life long friend. I am so comfortable in the car and jay is so committed to passing his students and giving the best advice he can. I’ve never met anyone more committed, as a teacher and family man who also somehow manages to tackle working back to back lessons. I’m upset that we will no longer be sharing a car ride however I am eternally grateful for all he has done. The sacrifices and trust doesn’t go unnoticed. I can not put into words how much I value his time and effort. Thank you for absolutely everything and hope to see you on the roads Jay🫶🏼

I began my driving experience initially by doing manual lessons with another instructor, however he was quite degrading and instead of building up my confidence the more i drove, it diminished completely to the point where i felt i wasn’t capable of getting a manual license. At this point i decided to switch to doing automatic lessons instead as i thought id have a better chance of passing. After a few automatic lessons, I wasn’t sure what i wanted to do and felt stuck and stopped lessons completely.
This is when Jay reached out to me as i had told him i had a driving test coming up very soon with not much driving skills for either manual or automatic cars. Within the first lesson with Jay I was on the main roads driving manual as he built up my confidence immediately with praise as well as giving me clear instructions and advice that was easy to remember.
Fast forward two weeks, I now know how to drive manual very confidently and have a license to show for it.
I couldn’t recommend Jay enough. Not once did he make me panic whilst on the roads, as he stayed calm all throughout unlike other instructors who instil a fear in you. Overall, i had a great experience with this instructor and have to thank Jay for getting my manual license after initially believing i couldn’t in such a short amount of time.

Jay is incredibly kind, understanding, and professional. After identifying my areas of weakness during my first driving session, he gave me helpful advice. He is a cool instructor, and I am grateful that I have him as my driving instructor and thanks for helping me to become more confident driver. Everything I learnt from him to be really enjoyable and finally I passed my test.

Jay has been really supportive and patient with me. Always pushed me to do my best and keep improving my driving. He was very professional and quickly understood my weaknesses and strengths, which helped me in progressing quicker than I expected. He made sure to prioritise me as my practical test was coming up and he respected my time. Jay’s communication is on point and he’s very friendly which helped ease the pressure when first going behind the wheel.

I would recommend him to everyone as he’s an amazing instructor and now friend! Thank you for helping me pass! :)

I passed with alert driving school recently!!!
Jay is very passionate in how he teaches, and makes sure students fully understand things they have done wrong etc. His strategies he used made me feel at ease and are so helpful, Jay is very patient, which made my driving experience so much better. Alert driving school should be your first choice!

I passed my practical driving test last week and couldn’t have had a better experience with alert driving school. Jay is incredibly knowledgeable of the roads and known test routes. He targets weak points practically and ensures the students learn the most they possibly can in their lessons. Even if you are a skilled driver or starting from the very beginning the quality of lessons are second to none.

Not only is Jay a fantastic teacher but he genuinely wants you to pass and get the job done ! I felt immensely supported and confident in my driving skills all thanks to Jay and alert driving school, I couldn’t recommend more.

I passed my manual driving test, all thanks to Alert Driving School!

Learning to drive with Jay has been an incredibly smooth process. He is thorough in his explanations of driving procedures and is great at assuring new drivers to be confident in their abilities.

Jay is incredibly patient and explains everything in full detail, in a way that doesn’t overwhelm students with new information. His teaching style and use of analogies helps students remember the key points of good driving practice which stick with them even after they’ve passed.

ALERT! ensures their students reach a high test standard, teaching students how to apply driving theory with practise in a consistent balance.

I passed my driving test, and I couldn't have done it without Alert Driving School. From the moment I stepped into the car for my first lesson, I knew I was in good hands. I had no prior driving experience and was quite nervous, but my instructor's calm and encouraging attitude quickly put me at ease.

Throughout the lessons, the instructor explained everything in a clear and understandable way, guiding me through each step with patience and professionalism. The balance between practical driving skills and theory was perfect, helping me understand the rules of the road while gaining confidence behind the wheel.

What impressed me most was how they tailored the lessons to my pace and learning style. They were always patient with my questions and provided constructive feedback that was never overwhelming. Highly recommend!!!

I heard about alert driving from my friend, and I had easy contact with Jay, who was the CEO and instructor, and somethign that stuck with me about what he said was that, ‘We are not here to play.’ He immediately took be through the procedures and the routines of driving you need to learn and I was quick yo adapt and learn. He was a very good teacher and had very impressive knowledge about driving routes and manoveues. I only had 12.5 hours of lessons and passed my driving test first time. Along with him being a good company, he was extremely friendly and stuck to his schedule being well organised and regularly sends videos about the car and driving and tips and tricks that all the student uses. He was solely the reason for me passing my driving and I thank him for that, and I recommend everyone to go over to alert driving and utlise the skill he is.

Honestly I cannot thank Jay and Alert school enough. With my lessons at alert driving school I have learned how to become a more confident and well rounded driver and that is all thanks to Jay. I have whole heartedly enjoyed and will remember all my helpful and insightful lessons I have had with Jay. I am really grateful for the support and encouragement Jay has given me with helping build my confidence in my driving. I will definitely say to anyone who is looking to join Alert driving school that Jay is such a hard working and committed instructor who there to help you. Plus note he loves a good laugh and playing his favourite Rihanna playlist. But if you that’s what you’re looking for, alert driving school is where you want to be.
