Went into the Kanata South location to…

Went into the Kanata South location to purchase a transition and they refused to sell anything to me as I had purchased my floor elsewhere. The treatment I received will definite cause me to scratch them off my list of potential suppliers for my renovation company.

One box sent to me was the wrong…

One box sent to me was the wrong material. Brought the measurements of the builder to them and the man ordered the material...short in almost every room. We had to order to order more material for several rooms. The job is half way done, what a mess and causing so much extra work and stress. They are blaming me for not ordering enough material and telling me it is unacceptable to go by the builder's measurements. If I would have been told this before ordering the material it would be fine but they never informed me...what I was told is that what I provided was fine. It takes a long time to get the material 2 1/2 weeks or so and again they are blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility for what has happened!!!!!!!!They may have nice material but the service from manager Courtney is extremely bad.

Very Pleased

I had my 2 level home re-floored with carpet and hardwood. From start to finish the advice, attention to detail, installation and follow up received from the Upper James, Hamilton location was excellent.
If I ever require flooring again it will be straight back to the friendly & knowledgeable folks on Upper James and their experienced installation crews.

I would never recommend them to anyone

Absolute worst experience ever. If something goes wrong they will leave you to live with their mess. Have filed a claim against them with the consumer protection agency(which is a long process). They had 4 months and 5 attempts to install the carpet it was still not installed properly. It is still only laid temporarily with most of it not stretched or tacked down fully and visible seams showing. I also still have doors off that they removed and were never rehung. I was told there was a manufacturing defect with the first carpet after they laid one piece and I have the same issue and visible seam problems with the second one. I removed over 400 staples that were left sticking out on my stairs after they removed my carpet but left the exposed staples and rolls of carpet lying around. There was no follow up from the store manager to resolve things. I had to contact them repeatedly to follow up about what they would do next. After 4 months I wrote to head office to get my $9000.00+ back and the carpet removed so I could use the money to get flooring put in by another company. They wanted a 6th attempt to lay the carpet or are offering a partial refund. They don’t carry the flooring I want and we’re not able to offer me anything that matched it but want me to keep looking for something else from them. I feel that they abused my willingness to give them a chance to fix their mistakes and either they are trying to take advantage of a person with a disability or perhaps they just treat all their customers this way.
