One of our most prestigious projects was the work we carried out on ‘The Gloriana’, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s official Row Barge! Met Yasmin in June and paid deposit…

Met Yasmin in June and paid deposit (half). Told it would be September (fine), about a week before drops a text to say we’re now VAT registered trust you’re ok to pay this - I said I didn’t have that money and to just do my bedroom which was deposit monies. Said she would absorb cost but not a good start, nothing on invoice said plus VAT in fact VAT didn’t get a mention anywhere, I was paying materials on top. I had expected Yasmin but a guy turns up - he was very pleasant with this misunderstanding, understanding the ethos of Yasmin’s company being women supporting women. He did a good job of my hall. There seemed to be an issue reported back when I had to do a school run and asked him if he was ok to leave house just during that 25 min period, he didn’t seem to have an issue. I paid a premium price and things weren’t finished and attention to detail was missed. The amount I paid for materials was premium too. Fortunately I held back some money for the snagging issues to be sorted which is not happening (after 3rd time she cancelled arrangement). She made accusations to me of staff not feeling comfortable working in my home and clearly likes blaming the customer. She agreed when I said Im going to use money to get someone else in to finish work as I was no longer comfortable myself using her organisation.

Really poor customer services never again

Initially pleasant on visit to house.. then difficult to get hold of phone battery dying out and never answering landline. Never responding when she said she would. Asked for quote inc VAT received quote exc VAT. Not clear on quote exactly what materials nor costings. Did offer a price match with a competitor so 1 star for that !! Weve been absolutely transparent with Yasmin as we couldn’t afford to get all rooms done all at the same time .. so we simply queried her quote and then she went in full blown accusatory mode and made us feel absolutely awful … all in all no thanks and here you go the made up lies, assumptions and rants go on. Please leave us alone !

I thought you didn't want the work carried out because it was not within your affordability.
I apologise you feel bad and that was not my intention to make you feel the way you feel. In regards to phone battery, yes, you called me whilst you was in the paint store, I couldn't answer the phone as phone was on 3%. You wanted an immediate answer from me when I was at work on the tools, sometimes I can't pick up to answer immediate demands. You messaged me though, and I explained I couldn't answer because of phone battery, I did however answer your question in regards to how much paint you needed so you can get your paint quantity. Regardless if I couldn't answer the phone I still communicated with you the best way I could despite the circumstances of my battery, so this is not a lack of communication
I can't be accountable for how people feel as I am not in control of other people's emotions and I don't set out to make people feel bad. Like I said, I can not offer you a discount on your bathroom ceilings as you are not having all the work carried out, I understand that you can't afford to carry out all the work, but my quote offered a discount on the ceilings if you had all the work carried out. I already provided a discount on the bedroom for you as a price match. I explained to you that I am a business and I can't afford to give discounts for everything. I have staff to pay and running expenses, I would literally sink as a company if I gave everyone a discount. I am really sorry you felt offended with this decision, again it was not my intention to make you feel bad. I'm unsure why you would now be confused as to what it covered as we already discussed this, my quote always included VAT and again, there is whats app communications to show this. [14/05/2024 14:21] Yasmin: Not a problem. Will do. For your room, using a white Matt paint on the walls, grade 1 zinseer, fillers, caulks etc will be around £120.00.
I will resend the quote with that on there and do the same for the other rooms for you.

I am not sure why you would leave a negative review because you couldn't afford to have the work carried out. You felt offended that I told you I would sink as a company if I gave everyone a discount. I cancelled your advanced payment invoice because you was still trying to haggle a discount two days prior to starting at yours. I cancelled this because I did not want to work for someone who I felt might not pay the final balance on completion. You was offended that I cancelled the work hence the reason for this review.

Very Poor

Very poor overall. Great website and blurb and first impressions very positive. The finished product was not good at all. Jobs were not done properly, some still are not finished. There are a lot of issues that I have photo proof of if you want to know more. In the end, Yasmin did not reply to my message about some unfinished work.

My advice, do not pay for at least a week before you have had a chance to let things settle and take a good look. There's nothing I can do now except give people a heads up.

Great results, clean and tidy happy with the work

We had a great experience with AllPoints, we felt very comfortable with them in our home and the painting was finished to a high standard. They also did a great job cleaning up after. I have since recommended them to a friend and we will be using them for further painting work.

Once you find a good trade…

Once you find a good trade you just don't go anywhere else for quotes etc, we have been extremely happy with everything that has been done for us & its been allot!!
Yasmin really cares about the end product & ensures that we are completely satisfied with everything they do for us. We highly recommend to others looking for someone to do a good job without any nonsense! Thank you to you all

Highly Recommended Decorators

I have used Allpoints (they used to be called Angels Painters & decorators) numerous times since 2013.

Yasmin is punctual, helpful and friendly and the work has always been to a high standard.

The company has a very comprehensive catalogue of previous work on their website (The Queen's Barge is especially impressive).

I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Our go-to decorator for 10 years

Allpoints has been our go-to decorating company for 10 years. Staff are professional, they are clean, communication is great and work is finished quickly. They aren’t the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend for internal and external work and they can even help with some minor repairs such as to ceilings or weatherboards.
