Our experience with Allwood Windows has…

Our experience with Allwood Windows has been extremely poor and unprofessional, causing significant disruption to both our business and our client.
We placed our order and made the initial payment on 17th July 2025, having been clearly advised that the lead time would be 10–12 weeks. In reality, delivery took over 17 weeks, with no consistent or reliable communication throughout. Lead times were repeatedly changed, and we struggled to get any firm or accurate delivery dates.
Despite this, we were asked to pay the final balance on 28th October, after being assured that delivery would take place on 7th November. On the strength of this confirmation, we scheduled the installation with our client. The delivery was then cancelled at the last minute on 6th November, with vague alternative dates provided that were also missed. We only found out the delivery wasn’t happening after chasing Allwood ourselves.
The door was eventually delivered on 14th November, apparently only because Allwood had to hire a van at short notice—hardly reassuring after months of delays.
The most unacceptable issue occurred on site during installation. Once the opening had already been prepared (brickwork removed and aperture converted from a window to a door), we discovered the door had been supplied without a cylinder, keys, spindle, and with screws too short to secure the handle. This meant the door was completely unusable and left the property insecure.
We were forced to visit a local locksmith and source parts ourselves just so the customer’s home could be secured. This caused additional cost, embarrassment, and reputational damage to our business. Our customer explicitly stated that the situation made us look incompetent—despite the fault lying entirely with Allwood Windows.

This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and damaging. Missed deadlines, poor communication, and supplying an incomplete product are simply unacceptable. The only support we had was from Becky, Sam and Tim where they offered to take a message where no one would call us back. We would strongly advise others to think very carefully before placing an order with Allwood Windows.

Excellent Quality Windows and Doors

Three months on from fitting I am delighted with my 5 casement windows, fixed feature window, back door and B&B front door. The quality of the joinery and fittings is excellent, enhancing my property considerably, and the service I received was very good indeed. Issues were quickly and fairly dealt with, and the cost was competitive. Thankyou!

Great product, disappointing service

The windows and doors are top notch, the customer service second class. Multiple promises of dates and ‘will call you back’ were made and not kept. Any level of keeping us informed simply did not exist. If we called to get an update promises to call back we’re not kept. Only one employee (thank you Joel) took the trouble to treat us as customers. Disappointing service experience. Having a great product should not excuse treating customers in such a disappointing manner.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY READ THERE GOOGLE REVIEWS

Most probably the worst customer services I have ever delt with this company takes your money and just lie there way through treating customers. Waited weeks for an order to find yet again it was wrong then to get a delivery of glass that had looked like it had been thrown around the floor for days on end and put in Avery for birds to crap all over it. Waiting 3 weeks for a replacement handle the list could go on and on with this disgraceful company.
