We want to use a Canadian company
We wanted to use a Canadian company.
I specifically bought an eSIM for myself and my husband ($85 CDN total) for our safari trip. The global ones were purchased for USA, South Africa and Botswana. It did not work at any point in Chobe Botswana. It was otherwise as advertised.

Worked fine in Singapore but for some reason when added a hush number to use in Malaysia it needed different settings . Very helpful and prompt technical assistant soon had it sorted .

Poor to almost no reception at all in Israel.
Multiple chats with support verified all the settings are correct but were not able to resolve the problem.
It's probably the hot mobile infrastructure that is not reliable but my experience was very bad over my 3 weeks in Israel

Often no connection for 2 days when arriving in a new location, involving hours of wifi contacts (if available) but no data for around that time. Terrible, most trips.

Too unreliable to get started. In some countries/airports we can get it working right away, whereas in others it’s very fussy and hard to get it to work. (Once running, it’s fine.) So I’ve stopped using aloSim
