New decent prop firm

Alpine is a new prop firm to me. Seems very decent with no consistency rules. I am based in the Netherlands and the only thing i noticed is the latency to their server, it's pretty high. But so far it didn't limit my trading.

Warning about this company, BIg scam

Updated in relation to the response received. Do not be misled by their reply, as it is completely false and manipulative.

As I previously mentioned, I was never involved in any of the activities they highlighted (martingale, HFT, or anything similar). There were approximately 3 trades per day, each opened individually and in a single direction, with Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP) set.

They invoked clause 7.1 of their terms, which is highly unclear. It does not specify anything beyond general risk, and there is nothing transparent or demonstrable showing where my strategy allegedly fell under “risk.”

I personally know 7 traders who received the same payout refusal under clause 7.1, and another 12 cases where false reasons were invoked. I have created a Telegram group to gather evidence from multiple traders and to file a collective complaint against the two CEOs. My own complaints have already been submitted.

Warning about this company

I am a trader with 8 years of experience, currently testing the company Alpine Funded on a direct funded account (Base Camp) of $50K. I traded only XAUUSD with a 0.40 lot size (which, as you can see, is relatively small), averaging around 3 trades per day, with stop loss set up to a maximum of 2% and trade durations exceeding 2 minutes, in full compliance with their rules.

My payout was denied and my account was closed without any plausible or demonstrable reason. They will most likely respond with a message suggesting they acted in accordance with their terms and conditions, but dear trader, I assure you this is NOT the case. Avoid this company.

Below is the company’s response:

“We kindly ask that you refer to the Terms and Conditions agreed upon at the time of purchase. As outlined therein, we retain full authority and discretion to approve or decline payout requests.

Please note that the upgrade request was declined as no eligible payout had been generated. Consequently, no funds are owed.

Regards,
Alpine Funded Team”

In all these years of testing funded trading companies, this is by far the most deceptive one. I will be filing all necessary complaints with the relevant institutions in Switzerland and with IC3 (the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center), along with a criminal complaint against the two CEOs,

Reply from Alpine Funded

Dear Lucian,

While we respect your experience in the industry, we must clarify that every account—including our Base Camp Instant Funding—is subject to a final compliance audit upon a payout or upgrade request. This audit is not discretionary; it is based on objective data logs.

1. Strategy Violation:
Your account was flagged and closed due to the detection of a prohibited trading strategy. Our terms (which every trader agrees to at signup) strictly prohibit strategies such as Grid Trading, Martingale, Latency Arbitrage, or High-Frequency Trading (HFT). These methods rely on a "high risk of ruin" and are not compatible with real-market risk management or our long-term funding model.

2. Risk Parameters:
Even if individual lot sizes appear small, the nature of how trades are entered and managed (e.g., compounding losing positions or exploiting data latency) determines whether a strategy is permissible. Our system detected patterns that fall under the prohibited categories outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

3. Transparency:
We do not deny payouts without cause. When a strategy is identified that exploits demo environments or uses unsustainable mathematical models (like Grid or Martingale), the account is deemed ineligible for funding or payouts. These rules exist to protect the firm’s capital and to ensure we are funding traders who use sustainable, professional techniques.

We remain committed to our hundreds of funded traders who operate within these guidelines and receive their payouts every Thursday.

Best regards,
Alpine Funded Team

Applied a rule not on my dashboard

Everything started well with these guys, good customer support and free reset and then it all went wrong. They had a hidden rule which wasn't on my dashboard. I was trading gold making nice profits building my account, sticking to the rules on the dashboard and then my account was halted due to a breach which was my stoploss was too far away, ridiculous. Stay clear of this prop firm, they will find a way for you to fail. Never again will I use them. Save your money and stick to the main prop firms.

Dear Rye,

Thank you for your initial kind words regarding our support. We would like to clarify the "Maximum Risk" rule to show that this was a technical breach of the standard risk parameters, not a "hidden" rule.

1. The 3% Cumulative Risk Rule:
While we encourage the use of Stop Losses, our rules state that the total combined risk of all open positions cannot exceed 3% of your account balance. This is a standard safety protocol to prevent over-exposure.

2. Your Specific Breach:
In your case, you had five separate positions open on Gold (XAUUSD). While the risk on each individual trade was small (between 0.56% and 0.69%), the sum total of those risks reached 3.03%.

Because your Stop Losses were placed at a distance where a simultaneous hit would have resulted in a loss greater than 3% of your balance, the system identified this as a breach of the total risk exposure.

3. Transparency:
This rule is not hidden; it is clearly outlined in our FAQ and the "Maximum Allowed Lot Sizes and Risk" article, which explains how we calculate risk when multiple positions are open. The dashboard reflects your current standing, but the mathematical calculation of your Stop Loss distance is the trader's responsibility.

We aim to support professional risk management, and these limits are what allow us to provide high-capital accounts and free resets. We are sorry this led to a misunderstanding, but the rule is applied consistently to protect the firm's capital.

Best regards,
Alpine Funded Team

I had an issue with EA execution on my…

I had an issue with EA execution on my account where all automated trades were being rejected with retcode 10026, while manual trades were working normally.

At first, it was not clear whether the problem was related to my EA, platform settings, or account conditions. After testing multiple accounts and confirming that the same EA worked elsewhere, it became clear that the issue was server-side.

The support team initially provided general responses, but after I shared detailed information, they escalated the case to their technical team.

After investigation, they resolved the issue and confirmed that EA trading had been enabled again on my account. Since then, everything has been working correctly.

Special thanks to IKA from the support team for following up and helping move the case forward.

Overall, good support and resolution, but it required persistence and clear communication from my side.
