Mixed

I've used them before and the ski hire is good value.
However, I've booked this year and I've received 2 requests for a review, but I haven't yet received confirmation of my purchase (yes, I checked spam). The money has left my account, so I trust my reservation has been made, but that seems a basic thing to get wrong.

Great service - paying difficult

It was great and easy to use, and a v good price but paying with a card was impossible using the computer so I had to use my phone - it felt like a glitch.

terrible equipment

terrible equipment. Paid premium quality got boots that had holes, snowboards looked like they've been in the rent for over 5 years, all bindings were different. All in all deeply disatisfied.

Paid for Premium, Received Worn-Out Equipment & Wasted Days on the Slopes

We rented ski and snowboard equipment at White Storm Ariondaz through Alpy for a group trip in March 2026.
We specifically chose this shop, despite it being pricier than competitors, because we expected premium equipment to match the Black and Diamond tiers we paid for. That expectation was not met.
The snowboards were heavily worn and, more worryingly, the bindings kept coming loose on the slopes, a genuine safety issue that prevented our experienced riders from performing at their level. The Diamond-level skis were old and visibly worn, with performance that did not reflect what that tier should deliver. The ski boots initially handed over were in terrible condition and caused real physical pain and injury.
We had to make an unnecessary trip back to the store the next day, out of our way, costing us paid slope time, to request exchanges. When it came to the snowboards, we were told none were available in-store, meaning we lost a further day with inadequate gear and had to return to the shop yet again. Two extra trips to a shop that is out of the way is simply not acceptable.
The replacement ski boots were fine, but the damage was already done. The replacement skis were better, but still didn't reach the Diamond standard.
If you're going to charge a premium, you need to deliver premium.
No complaints about Alpy, but we won't be returning to that store again.
