I originally purchased the Flair Pro 2 from Alternative Brewing and I was struggling to get a level dose with the provided tamp on my Flair Pro 2. I purchased the Normcore spring loaded V4 tamp and it takes care of that, perfect level tamp every time giving even water flow. Also like the fact that there’s 3 different springs. I used the standard spring for awhile and now just switched to the tighter spring with great results. Perfect shots now, great flavour, no bitterness 😊

Terrible customer service. Have sent me a faulty product and keep asking for videos and other nonsense which I have provided. Finally arranging to send back after their push back, and they say they will test the item on return. Just take the faulty product back and refund. Also I just realised who this is owned by and feel disgusted that I purchased anything from them

I bought an Opal One specialised pod machine through Alternative Brewing a few weeks ago and experienced a problem with a pod getting stuck after 10 or so brew cycles. Followed all instructions but lever would not fully open and I was not confident to force it more for fear of breaking it and being stuck with the problem and a physically broken machine.

Contacted Alternative Brewing with details via email – I got a prompt polite email reply but with a request for photos, serial number and a video of the problem. Sent that and then got another fluffy polite reply now asking me for pictures of the pod used. Sent a screen shot of the exact Lavazza pods bought on Amazon.

Next, I get another detailed reply quoting the Opal importer allegedly asking me to physically poke and pry the pod loose with a metal skewer(!!?), turn it upside down, shake it… apply more pressure to the lever!!!

I said no, was not going to do all that, I didn’t want to break the machine and just want my money back. Again, polite, pointless reply and now saying they needed to speak to importer. I replied and said I bought from Alternative Brewing, I wanted to return it and get my money back as is my right with the seller under consumer law.

Again, a long, pointless reply about talking to this team and that and they’d come back to me – nothing.

$230 down the drain – be aware and very careful with Alternative Brewing and Opal One.

These guys have amazing service, really helpful and responsive. You feel almost like you're in the shop - they are so knowledgeable about coffee accessories and machines. Will always shop here for my gear in future.

Alternative Brewing were very quick to respond to my question and offer me a good solution. The product arrived well packed and in good time. The customer service was excellent.

I have been an alternative brewing customer for years and their products are always super high quality and they have a great selection. I tried to buy a product for a friend and there was issues with the delivery because my friend's house is difficult to deliver to and she has to be home to recieve the parcel. Jai from customer service for alternative brewing was a legend throughout the whole process, staying in touch with courier and when we couldn't find a way to deliver it has issued a return to sender and will refund me for the product. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in awhile.

Genuine products, decent prices, relatively quick dispatch and shipping. Have shopped before, will definitely shop again.

It delivers a bold cup, perfect for mornings when I need a kickstart. I usually use medium-fine grind, and it extracts beautifully😊

Recently purchased the Airscape Classic Matte Chalk - storage container, from Alternative Brewing.

Really impressed with this coffee bean storage canister. Looks amazing and the internal press seal is easy to use, super smooth and pushes all the air out. Beans are now way fresher.

Easy hassle free purchase. The Hario Skerton hand grinder is so easy to use with the attached jar holding the exact amount required to make the cold brew in my new Hario 1L cold brew pot. I can also do a grind ahead of time and seal the jar with the included lid. Would use Alternative Brewing again.
