I had my KDP account permanently terminated by Amazon, and what concerns me most is the complete lack of transparency.
I received a general message claiming “manipulation of services” and “content guideline violations,” but no specific example or evidence was ever provided. I appealed multiple times in good faith, explained that I’m a beginner, and asked for clarification so I could understand and learn from any mistake. Each time, I received the same template-style response with no real explanation.
This is not just about losing access to a platform—it also means losing unpaid royalties and being permanently banned, which is a serious action. Decisions like this should come with clear and actionable feedback, not vague statements.
I respect that platforms need to enforce rules, but there should be a fair level of transparency, especially when the consequences are this severe. Right now, it feels like users can be penalized without being given a meaningful chance to understand or correct what went wrong.
I hope Amazon KDP improves how it handles these situations, because this experience has significantly affected my trust in the platform.
