When I bought my Paperwhite I was very surprised by such a high quality of the device. And I really had a feeling as if I was using a paper book. Very satisfied with all the features od me lovely Kindle!

I bought the 2nd generation Kindle Fire HD with high expectations based on what was claimed by Amazon in their PR.
But nothing was what it seemed,or even did what it was meant to do to anyone with common sense based in logic that is!
Because for us who live in this reality,it's becoming clear Amazon have created their own version with their own set of rules to go with it that are not compatible in any other reality than the "World of Amazon ",where nothing logical exists and if it makes sense it's not available for your Kindle device,courtesy legal restrictions applied by Amazon,ensuring your device is of absolutely no use to anyone:YOU,THE OWNER ,INCLUDED!
And just in case you were ever thinking of showing off your advanced top tech gadget abroad,just make sure you don't plan on showing anyone any feature than requires internet connection or cloud access ,like Kindle app with your library of books or access to 80% of apps you downloaded from AMAZON'S APP MARKET,and had to pay twice for some of the very same apps already bought and paid for on the regular "Android app store" used by the rest of the world !
Other than that,it's a fantastic device as far as HD quality resolution in the display,if only you had a media app to use it for!
But there's some good news: Amazon have allegedly updated software and new current version is said to make device compatible with all normal functions generally expected from being an "Android device",and is even rumored to work outside of the UK (theoretically)!!
Points I'd love to have the chance to review or you here,but unfortunately THE NEWER SOFTWARE VERSION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR UPDATE IN OLDER VERSIONS INCOMPATIBLE WITH RECENT UPDATED SOFTWARE VERSIONS!!!
SURPRISE SURPRISE! But there is another way around this problem which will allow you to enjoy all the new features that have been available to everyone else for years on non-Amazon devices: All you have to do is simply purchase the most recent version of the Kindle Fire HD from Amazon brand new to the reasonable price of twice the amount you already wasted on your the totally useless version you currently have !!!
Genius idea!! If you're lucky you might end up with 2 matching devices equally useless but with identically wasted potential as the one thing Amazon forgot to add in: use as HD media tablet!

I love my kindle I always take it with me wherever I go. Recently I had a bad accident and was in hospital for several weeks I would have been lost without my kindle. Imagine how much weight you would have to carry in books . The kindle holds all my reading in a lightweight pad. A fantastic thing to have.

easy to use and there are always a few freebies on the kindle store. I don't read enough anymore so this is a great way of encouraging myself!

I received my Kindle for my birthday, everything, just everything was perfectly fine- product, packaging, guarantee paperwork, printed order.
I am very happy with my Kindle and with Amazon, they have excellent customer service!

I received my Kindle at Christmas and it's been brilliant. The charge seems to go for ever, the light is perfect for reading in bed and storage is incredible. My only issue is that often books from resellers are cheaper than kindle books, which seems to defeat the object a little.

Love my new kindle, 3g and in built light. Got it from Amazon within 24 hours and cant wait to go on holiday without carrying loads of books. Love reading and can get through lots of books. Would recommend to everyone to try it, you wont go back to paperbooks!

I got Amazon Kindle with 3G,Wifi and keyboard from my husband for Christmas. It is amazing, it is very easy to download new books and they are available to read straight way. The only criticism is about the dictionary, sometimes the words does not make sense at all, as I'm not english, I use the dictionary a lot, but now I gave up. Other than that it is a wonderful product specially when you have to commute a long way from home to work. It is very please to know the battery last for about a month and the book can be download on the laptop or computer as well.
