I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Amberjack.

I ordered two pairs of Regent shoes (Obsidian and Chestnut). To their credit, shipping was prompt—but that’s where the positives end.

The Chestnut pair arrived clearly previously worn, with scuffed soles and noticeable creasing in the leather on the toe box. The Obsidian pair wasn’t any better—it arrived damaged, with a chunk of the sole missing near the heel.

I contacted customer service the same day via text and email. Before they would take any action, I was asked to provide photos, which I did promptly. After reviewing, they gave me two options:
1. Keep the defective shoes and receive $90 off a future purchase, or
2. Return both pairs for an exchange.

I chose the exchange option, with the understanding that replacements would ship out quickly once the returns were in process. I made it clear I needed these shoes for upcoming business travel (about two weeks away).

I dropped the shoes off at Kohl’s the very next day. Three days later, I still hadn’t received any shipping confirmation, so I followed up—only to be told that replacement pairs would now take 3–6 weeks to ship.

Their “solution”? Offering free expedited shipping… once the shoes are finally ready in 3–6 weeks. That does nothing to address the situation.

At no point did they offer any meaningful compensation for the inconvenience, nor did they take ownership of the poor quality control.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

Great experience

Great service! Wasn't sure what size to order as a first time customer and got helped right away.
Once they arrived they fit great. Really liked the color

Non-existent customer service.

I ordered a pair of shoes for my husband on December 21. It is January 14, and I still don't have the shoes. I can't get a response from customer service. I just called the customer service phone number and nobody answers.

Incredibly poor service

Incredibly poor service. Shoes were shipped to me in the UK that had stains on them. I reached out to show this to them and ask for a replacement. I was advised that I would need to cover the cost of return to return these faulty goods. They would then assess if a refund was necessary. Having already paid for shipping to receive them I thought this unacceptable. To make matters worse their “chat” function which is used to communicate such things is terrible. You will get a response a day. It took me over a week to get to the point where they stopped replying after saying they could not do anything without me paying her the faulty shoes back to them. Would recommend avoiding as the quality control is clearly poor and the customer service is non existent.

However, this minor setback turned into a testament to AmberJack's exceptional customer service. I reached out via email about a warranty claim and received a response within minutes - not hours or days, but literally minutes. They asked for a few photos to assess the issue, which I sent right away.

What happened next exceeded all expectations: within 30 minutes of sending the photos, I received both a personal response and an order confirmation for replacement shoes. No hassle, no lengthy back-and-forth, no hoops to jump through. Just swift, professional service that showed they stand behind their products.

The combination of comfortable, stylish, well-made shoes and this level of customer care makes AmberJack a standout brand. While no product is perfect, it's how a company handles issues that truly matters - and AmberJack has earned my loyalty through their actions. I'll definitely be purchasing from them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality men's footwear backed by a company that genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.
