Dreadful clinic, both brother truly are con artists. I have written a blog about the wild Wild West of aesthetics. These pair are at the top of the tree. Poor treatment, that left scarring - oh and experienced a trail of expletives too. Scammers, avoid.

I recently booked a special offer HIFU treatment with The Aesthetic Lab Birmingham at their pop-up clinic in King’s Lynn on Friday, 11th July. The treatment itself went smoothly, and afterwards I was offered two follow-up sessions at a discounted rate. I paid in full for the initial treatment (which I received) and the two additional sessions (scheduled for one and two months later), receiving a 25% discount for booking in advance.

However, over the weekend I reconsidered and decided not to go ahead with the remaining sessions. On Monday, 14th July, I contacted the clinic to request a refund. I was told they were closed and would be contacted on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the practitioner who had performed my treatment informed me that a refund was not possible — only a transfer to another treatment.

This was disappointing, especially because the consent form I signed clearly states that clients have the right to change their mind at any time. The form makes no reference to any terms and conditions, nor was I verbally told that payments were non-refundable. It feels intentionally misleading.

I wrote to the clinic explaining that under UK consumer law, I am entitled to a full refund because:
• I changed my mind within 14 days of purchase
• I have not received the service yet
• I gave plenty of notice (1–2 months ahead)
• There was no mention of non-refundable payments in any document I signed or in our discussion

Their response? They emailed me a copy of their terms and conditions after the fact and offered no resolution. I’ve now given them 7 days to respond before taking further action.

What frustrates me most is the lack of transparency and poor attitude toward customer rights. I have visited many reputable aesthetic clinics in King’s Lynn, London, and abroad, and I have never encountered this kind of behaviour. In all my experiences, clinics have been reasonable, fair, and respectful — this is the first time I’ve felt misled and ignored.

While £430 may not be a huge amount to some, it’s not insignificant — and the principle matters. Refusing to refund a service not yet provided, and hiding refund policies, is not only poor customer care — it is unlawful. UK consumer protection law overrides internal policies.

I’m leaving this review to warn others: be extremely cautious when paying upfront here. Ask for all policies in writing, and be prepared that if you change your mind, you may not be treated fairly.

I purchased a machine from you just over a year ago which cost over £12,000. When purchasing it, you advised there would be servicing available, parts and support regarding the machine. I have contacted you many times (picture to follow shortly) requesting the contact details for the servicing and parts of which you are not responding and ignored. Can you please contact me regarding this so so can service my machine as I currently feel I’ve been mis-sold a product and sold a product under false pretences.

AMC offer an excellent service. I've been visiting them as a model for the past 3 years and have always me extremely happy with results. I've witnessed Sam, Ed and Brookley training students on many visits. They always put the models priorities at the core of their detailed student training. I always feel in safe hands...AMC are a super, friendly team and I always look forward to a visit. I can't recommend them enough

The worst training academy I have ever been to. They gave 1 model to train on. Then they aren't arranging sufficient dates for me to come back in when I do not feel confident & I wanted to complete more models. No theory given, no certificate. Just a complete waste of money. Will not be going there again. I'm having to pay for a refresher course. I will be taking it further.

I had a Pdo Cog Lift treatment with this company. This has been a massive mistake and a nightmare !! I am going to cut the long story short. This treatment was supposed to give a lift to my lower face and neck. Result: I ended up with a lump next to my lip, an asymmetric face and a deformed right cheek... That's not all !!! On my right cheek tip of the tread sticking out and trying to break through the skin, also the same happening on my neck too. ( I have before and after photos)
THIS IS JUST A START...

When I went for a consultation Edward quoted me for 8 cog treads. We agreed. (This was a while back before the treatment). On the treatment day, he only inserted 6 cog treads!! I never thought anything of it on that day then about a week after I realised that I paid for 8 cog treads but Edward only used 6. ( If I didn't notice they would never say anything) When I mentioned it he said "I am going to put more product and it is going to balance it out" But after a few days of thinking I decided not to go ahead because I was not stupid enough to let him mess with my face again. I asked for a refund but noooo... Edward asked me to send an email to explain the situation his brother Samuel.. So I did .. Like I haven't been through enough with them. They are ignoring me and not responding.

As a result of all, I am going to SUE this company. I will make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I am a practicing nurse of 26 years and have run my own aesthetics company for almost ten years. I have never attended a training course so jam packed with knowledge. Normally I attend training days expecting to learn nothing and walk away with a certificate allowing me to practice legally, using my nursing experience and my previous knowledge to be able to preform the treatments (unfortunately this is what the industry has become) these boys were filled to the brim with skill and Knowledge all delivered in such a way that it has changed my opinion on non medics in this industry. I have had training from industry medics that doesn’t come close to what I took away from my training with AMC. From the science, ingredients of the products to anatomy, physiology and complication knowledge covered things I still didn’t know after a long career as a A&E nurse. All this took place in a beautiful clinic with a friendly atmosphere and I hope that Samuel and Edward are proud of what they have achieved because there hard work has really paid off. Will definitely be returning.

Had microneedling don't this morning with Brookley. She was so nice as this was my first time at the clinic and first time having microneedling. She talked me through everything she was doing and I will definitely be back for further treatments and microneedling. Thanks Brookley x

Fantastic experience, the machine was playing up during the first appointment, rescheduled at no cost to me with a free facial which was amazing.

I have had vitamin B12 twice st the clinic and I have noticed a change in sleep. Am sleeping much better. Thank you.

I have been going to Amc since February .first contacted them to inquire about their training program .which then turned me into a client ,and also model .As I was impressed by Samuel who took my call .

The reason I have chosen Amc is down too ,these two brothers Edward and Samuel .for me they offer a very unique service of professionalism ,and great ability to make you feel at ease.we all know that blend is hard to find ,in such a competitive business.

Being a model has helped me experience different treatments and check out the training styles they use.I have been impressed all the way,and shared a few laughs too.so when the timing is right ,I look forward to being retrained by these guys,knowing I will be trained to a high standard,and will be in safe hands.

Well what can I say these guys are simply the best, have been going here the past 18 months and have had the best experience every time..but what I love most about Sam and Ed, is that they tell you the absolute truth, if you don't need fillers and other things they will say most definitely I have had enough, when they could just take my money and fill me up as I would definitely have more if they did not advise me that I do not need it... I come for a lovely aqua facial with brookley a few weeks ago and she was just fantastic face was glowing. This Saturday I went to have my bottox filler and as usual stepped through the door I was made a delicious flat white and served with a kit kat .. they are just so thoughtful honest there integrity is second 2 none. And I would like to add how spotlessly clean it is in there.... would never go anywere else could not recommend this salon any better than the max in everything from myself... 1010 from me to this fabulous business 🌟

Had a very warm welcome when I first walked in and a coffee too ,very very clean and professional, I was nervous at first but they talked me through everything they were going to do which put me at ease, the treatment I had was microneedling and didn’t hurt at all , the aftercare was explained to me.
I would highly recommend this clinic and sam and will be going back.
