Unusual poor customer service
Unusual poor customer service. I contacted Amcare nearly 2 weeks ago regarding faulty urostomy bags and unsuitable alternative appliances supplied due to my usual appliance being on ‘long term back order’. Having heard nothing after a week I spoke to Carol who was very helpful and said she would pass on my query. The following day I received an email saying my email had been passed to complaints to fully investigate and they ‘would be in touch with me as soon as they can’. This is of no help to me when I am quickly running out of supplies.

Umair is a credit to his company, kind and truly passionate about his job
Umair has been the first person to listen to what I need to help me on my journey with a colostomy bag. He had a genuine interest in helping me and suggesting different bags for my needs, his knowledge of the products was immense, truly lovely man to talk too and made my feel like a normal human being, I can’t thank him enough.

Helpfulness and perseverance
I contacted Umair to order samples. The first samples I received didn't work for me so he suggested something that might work and sent more products .
Unfortunately these were unsuitable as well so rather than just accepting this he said to try the diamond sachets
I am very grateful to Umair for persevering and finding a solution to my problems.

Umair was very helpful when i discussed my needs with him. He gave me some very good advice on products that would make things easier for me and also sent out some free samples to try.
I have tried the diamonds, barrier spray and adhesive remover and was impressed with products.

Little things make such a difference...
I decided to try a few samples from different companies - no problems with my current company - so I tried Convatec first.
The samples came quickly after an email chat with Kevin. I wasn't sure what to try but was given good advice. I was happy with my choice so put an order in & received this by return. Apart from being apprehensive at first I found the products first class, smart with quality fabric, neat & feminine & so far easy to use ( I would have appreciated a slip on how to attach a two piece, remove it & replace or discard.) what all the different phrases mean, I.e 'wafer' etc) being fairly new to all this.
One other comment - I was so delighted to find how beautifully the items were packed, not just in a cardboard box but inner lined with purple wrapping & no creases in sight. It actually decided me to order from this company - it was like receiving a gift....at 87 years old....thank you.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this company. Their help and assistance allowed me to be independent. Until I found them I was dependent on the lovely lady next door to me. She would pop in to me every other evening to assist me with my bag change. Thank you so much, I am now totally self sufficient with bag changes.

Flange Issues
My husband had been having trouble with the flange base plate he used which wasn't staying stuck for very long and causing a huge issue for him. Umair was extremely helpful in recommending a different type of flange base plate for my husband and providing samples to try. He has now switched to the new style which stays adhered for days which is wonderful and has made his life so much better. Great Service and Great Product. Thanks so much!

The agent went above and beyond and couldn't have done more. The equipment was good too. I couldn't get on with one of their offerings and so happy to stay with current supplier. But there wasn't a lot in it.

Perfect transition
Changing bags to explaining everything in detail with time and patience was what won me over. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you brother Umair Akhthar, really appreciate everything and my new bags are a game changer. I no longer have skin irritation and I don’t have to use as much product as I used to and it’s only been a week! Finally got the bags on prescriptions which was a swift move from my previous suppliers, not that I had any issues with them, it just made sense to keep everything in one place. But yeah to the future of better stoma care!
