After 41 years with AMEX I went to Capital One.

AMEX is different company now they are using all overseas people to view your statements and private information This company has really gone down the tubes. Customer service is awful. They used to defend the consumer, now they throw you to the dogs and charge you interest fees. After 41 years with AMEX I went to Capital One.
Jennifer at Executive Offices is inefficient and Rude as they come.
She keeps sending me copies of my statements via snail Mail. I keep telling her Im not receiving her mail through the US post office, but she refuses to send me an email or enroll me in electronic access. Does AMEX know it's the 21st Century?? Internet Much?? still relies on US Postal Service to contact customers what a joke.

Poor travel claim dept.

Ok I know Amex are enormous, I may be in the minority but DO NOT rely on their travel insurance. Following a very simple missing baggage claim (Not lost) the process was arduous and designed without doubt to not pay as the customer will give up. The claim handling is horrendous along with communication, and every time you jump through a hoop, they wait weeks (at least) then present more hoops to jump through. I would not risk having a big claim with these people and have opted for annual worldwide cover with a specialist. Amex just dont really want to help. in the end it got solved (sort of) but only as I refused to drop it, complained several times, and waited months to conclusion.

5* Customer Service

Once again I was having trouble with getting a refund from ASDA so contacted AMEX who always listen, take your problem on board & try their very best to help. This sort of service is sadly so rare nowadays.
Thank you Amex Advisors for always giving 100%
