We did a move recently

We did a move recently. We unfortunately used a broker who sent us this moving company. So don’t use emerald logistics - especially Courtney OR this company!
We spoke with the broker we spoke with the moving company. We let them know how much square footage of our house is. We had quite a bit of stuff due to our large homes and shop. We also had two large safes. We gave all of them the information that they asked, including height, weight, and location.
Courtney gave us one quote and when the logistics department called for an inventory list they doubled our original pricing
They assured us that moving help was gonna come before the semi truck so they could package all of our belongings and then load them on the truck. The truck showed up at 11 and nobody came until 2 PM and they only had 2 to 3 helpers. Two times helpers walked off the job due to personal conflict.
Neither one of my CDL drivers spoke very good English nor does anybody at this company.
They were not prepared with the proper amount of movers that we were told they would have. They did not have the proper equipment to move our safes. They added on an additional $15,000 when they arrived at our house. They could not get labor nor planned on bringing more labor to help with this move let alone moving the safe. They did not contact a Safe company like most of our moving companies due.
They wanted to try to move my safe on safely and I told them they did not have the equipment. The manager came back the next day and he had no help to move the Safe and requested that I look around even though I paid them to do it. Four days later everything was loaded up in the vehicles. That morning five local boys told the manager they would come over and move our Safe. They did a great job minimal damage to our house.
This moving company tried to break our contract and add on more fees twice after the third price change stating it had to do with the safes, even though they decided to charge us initially per pound, that was gonna be the extra cost. They are not reliable. When our stuff got to the house overall our items arrived in good shape however we have multiple damaged items on both homes and on furniture. We have tried to call them for over a week to make an insurance claim with them and they will not call you back. So at this point, we are moving forward with legal counsel. Don’t ever use them they will not be prepared.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced - it has been 1.5 months since they picked up my belongings, and I still do not have them. I also do not have an ETA. These people are sketchy, evasive, and have given me nothing but a runaround.

⚠️ AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS –

This was the worst moving experience we’ve ever had. The company arrived for pickup with two trucks and four people — that part seemed fine at first. But things quickly went downhill.

They forced my elderly mother to sign off and pay in full, in cash, before they even began the job — a huge red flag. For delivery, only one person and one truck showed up, completely unprepared.

Every single piece of furniture they packed arrived broken, scratched, or damaged — without exception. Even worse, 20 boxes are missing, including irreplaceable artwork and family heirlooms, which they now deny ever existed.

They want to offer a pitiful settlement and take no accountability for the lack of professional service. The quote included assembly, but they didn’t assemble anything — most pieces didn’t even arrive.

Our computer, TV, and printer — all in perfect working order before the move — were damaged beyond repair.

This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and predatory, especially toward vulnerable clients. Save yourself the heartbreak and look elsewhere.

First and foremost, we would like to clarify several important details:

Truck Capacity and Volume: We based our logistics on the estimate provided by your broker, which indicated approximately 2,593 cubic feet. This is why we arrived with two trucks and four movers — to ensure that we were fully prepared. It’s important to emphasize that we charged you exactly the amount that was quoted to you by the broker — not a cent more.

Payment Terms: As clearly outlined in the signed agreement, payment is required in full prior to unloading, which is an industry standard and a contractual obligation. The payment method was also chosen by your mother from the available options. No one was “forced” to do anything — everything proceeded strictly according to the agreed terms.

Customer Service and Inspection: Once we were made aware of your concerns, we immediately dispatched two of our agents from Seattle to Las Vegas at our own expense to conduct a thorough on-site inspection — because we take all complaints seriously.

A few items were indeed damaged, and we’ve already arranged for professional restoration and repairing services at no cost to your mother.

Some furniture had scratches or tears, and we offered a cash compensation of $5,500, despite the fact that the entire job earned us less than $9,000. We were — and still are — willing to cover more than half of the total revenue from your move in good faith.

Fortunately, our agents were also able to locate some of the items previously claimed as missing during the inspection.

Missing Boxes: We conducted a full audit using our warehouse surveillance footage, which confirms that every single item and box we picked up was also delivered. We have verifiable video evidence of this. Furthermore, your mother signed off on the delivery with the driver after inspecting your belongings — no mention of missing items was made at that time. Claims about missing boxes were only raised days later, which contradicts the signed paperwork and original statements.

Electronics: The computer, TV, and printer you mentioned show no physical damage whatsoever — no dents, cracks, or impact marks. We cannot be held responsible for the internal functionality of electronics that were delivered without a scratch. Holding us accountable for devices that don’t turn on, despite being visibly intact, is simply unreasonable.

We are still open to a reasonable and fact-based resolution, but we must also protect our team and reputation from statements that misrepresent the truth. Our records, documentation, and security footage all confirm that this job was completed professionally and responsibly, with follow-up care that went above and beyond industry norms.

They lost half my stuff and severely…

They lost half my stuff and severely broke/damaged the rest. My move was just about a total loss. The company has not tried to make it right. They do not call or reach out. Only texted to say sorry and they don't know where our things are. Police report for theft and vandalism filed. It's like they went through my belongings and stole what they could resell.
