A nightmare, that's it. We went as pedestrians without a cabin with my gf from Igoumenitsa to Bari. Everyone is packed into a small area, you basically have to sleep on the floor and everything is sticky. Hasn't been cleaned for a while. Ferry was 1h30 late, staff was rude and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Pee and poo everywhere and no toilet paper. Worst in that, the ferry is very expensive : 110 euros per person and we booked well in advance. That's robbery... I've paid less for much better service in supposedly more expensive countries (Norway, New-Zealand, Finland...).

We travelled this summer from Bari to Patras vv. The staff onboard is rude and even when you have friendly question the look and talk to you as if you are stupid. There is no control on the (camper)car deck because the whole night long there were dogs barking and running free around the area. And many many cars were alarming. The staff must have take notice of this , but no action at all. The ‘no smoking signs’ does not count for the staff????

I booked a Patras - Venice route (car and cabin) back in January 2024 and today, less than 2 weeks before departure from Patras (1.8.2024), I received a message that the departure will be one day later and the A3 cabin will be downgraded to seats (AF Claudia)! But honestly I was neither surprised nor upset as this is exactly my previous experience with them - again! Being on one of the Greek islands, this could be a complete disaster as you would also have to change the already booked and paid connecting ferry to Piraeus, which is practically no chance in mid-July. But this did not surprise me (I have been traveling to Greece every year for vacation for more than 20 years) as my experience with Anek for the last 10 years has always been one and the same - bad!!! Dirty ships, schedule changes, always late and they even changed the arrival port a few times from Venice to Ancona. I don't recognize this company anymore because 20 years ago it used to be a reliable company.
I immediately sent a cancellation and refund request. We will travel overland again (Greece - Macedonia - Serbia etc.) and not by Adriatec ferries.
I promised myself not to try my luck with Anek again. After this experience I checked the reviews on Trustpilot and Tripadvisor and found that all people report one and the same situations on their Adriatic routes - so this could not be a coincidence but a planned scam. Due to the way Anek operates (Minoan is not much better) this really makes future trips to Greece difficult as you cannot rely on their schedules.
You should avoid Anek (esp. Adriatic routes) at all costs if you don't want to complicate and spoil your vacation. Mark.

So unbelievably rude. I have travelled with them before and the operational side is ok. I tried to book for this year and the enquiries staff just made it hard work. They kept changing price by over €200 (by falsifying the paperwork) and when I queried it was asked "do you want it or not"?
I didn't book and went elsewhere.

Completely unreliable. Every trip is systematically delayed, and information is communicated the day before when it's already too late to find alternatives. It's impossible to rely not only on the schedule but also on the arrival day. If you're traveling with children, expect management issues such as boarding at 3 in the morning and beyond, which of course you would never have purchased.
