Paid Lowe’s to install a toilet, then Angi got in the loop with them. Two guys showed up, and said they have to replace the shutoff valve under the toilet. $125 plus tax. Total 134.96. The old valve a... See more

This is the worst company. So many hidden fees, so much undisclosed information.
I made an appointment for 12:00 noon and they didn't show up until 2:15 and when I suggested that they make a phone call to anyone they have an appointment with and can't make it. The person that showed up was nonchalant about being horribly late and then made some really wimpy excuses. VERY rude, VERY insulting so I just told him to get lost and slammed the door. ANGI, Inc will NEVER be considered again for project recommendations. If the initial meeting with a prospective client is allowed to be like this, ANGI, Inc needs to do way better with the companies they recommend.
It is hilarious that Angi ads on TV claim they put you in touch with "expert" contractors.
The truth is, only newbies and contractors who suck and can't get business through word of mouth are on Angi. Angi is a list of bottom feeders.
I purchased a garbage disposal from Walmart with the Angi+ Walmart install and it was a total failure. Ultimately the professional who showed up (first one was a no show) didn't properly install the disposal and ended up taking the splash guard with him. The third professional to be scheduled ended up having to remove the disposal since it was missing critical parts. This left me with out a functioning kitchen sink and having to purchase another new disposal.
Walmart completely washed their hands, saying they met their obligation by delivering the product. Angi at first, were pushing me to report a theft in order to get any type of refund. I wasn't comfortable accusing someone of a crime over a mistake so still pending a refund of the garbage disposal via a damage claim.
And for awareness, the slots are scheduled automatically with no customer input. The first professional was scheduled for a 9:30pm to 11pm slot on a Thursday night. Since I live alone, I wasnt comfortable woth this and rescheduled for a day slot and the professional never showed.
Do not use them for lead generation! Contact and close percentages are very low considering the cost, then they make it really hard to cancel. Their contract auto-renews, so if you forget about the renewal date then try to cancel, they hit you with thousands of dollars in cancellation fees. When I get out of this agreement I will NEVER consier them again!
I have been using Rio Maid for several months now & I am completely satisfied with the service. They arrive on time & bring everything they need to do a thorough cleaning. They use non-toxic cleaning products so I don't need to worry about the effect on my 2 dogs. My dogs like them & they like my dogs. A good indicator of people. I highly recommend Rio Maid to anyone in the Los Angeles area.

I own a local hvac business and tried doing business with them. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Not enough time or space to write about how they rip people off!! Totally incompetent in EVERYTHING!! WARNING DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANGI.COM. THEY ARE A SCAM!!
If I could give less than a star, I would. I went onto the site after hearing radio commercials. I needed a roofer. I got three (3) names which is reasonable, and specifically didn't check that I wanted more than these three names. On the first day, I had over 90 unsoliciated calls, 80 the next day and now three weeks later, I am still receiving over 25 unwanted calls A DAY!
I called them in the first week and they said they would put my information on a do not call list. Though that didn't happen, that is not the point. My number should not have ever been out wide. The funny thing is only a handful were real roofers. What do they gain for selling my number when I don't answer the phone.
On Instagram, I comment every time I see their ad. They asked me to give them my number so they can take me off the list. Right?!
Thank God I found a way to silence the unknown calls.
I can't believe that the original Angie is in the television commercials. She sold her soul for sure.

This company is a complete ripoff. They tell you one thing and then they suck up all your money and you do not get the proper leads. I just close the account after three weeks. And was looking for the credits for the leads that they gave me that were complete. And the lady was very smart with telling me that unfortunately even though you got zero jobs and the leads were crap we will not be reimbursing you. This company is disgusting. Stay away from me. It will put you out of business.

My wife opted to have an install of a Honeywell smart lock for our side door. She bought the lock on Walmart.com and selected an install with Angi. Roughly 2 weeks later, there was still no contact or news. We called Walmart, they referred us to Angi. The Angi associate eventually found our order and said that it had been cancelled already, due to no contractors available. No notification or contact by email, text, phone or anything. Very strange business ethics at this company. Wouldn't it be "normal" protocol to tell the customer that their install was cancelled?! Now we have to reschedule a new install and wait around for them to actually contact us this time. What a vicious cycle...

I am in Australia and needed help for a roll off dumpster in Vancouver WA for my sister in law, she received phone calls from suitable companies and used one of them and the service she received from them has been outstanding

Its a scam. I was paying over $1800 per month for good leads. Most of the time the phone numbers they gave us the person did not answer. then they said they could put us on a call per lead for better numbers. We tried one and was charged an extra $83 dollars. They never answered the phone . Do not use these people

We were scheduled for a TV install this morning. We received an email at 8:13am confirming arrival, at 8:23am received another email telling us the appointment was now on Tuesday at 5:00pm. I called and was told the installer was overbooked. Really, you just figured that out? This was Angi's first shot with our household, and it's going to be the last. Too bad I can't leave a no star rating!!!

Company that I'm writing a review on: Super Electric, located locally here in Pasco County, Port Richey, FL:
Very people knowledgeable friendly, profession; gave me "heads up" contacting me a day in advance, rechecked address with me at that time for clarification; worked fast & had all supplies & additional supplies he added in his van; installed a new bedroom ceiling fan that I had purchased from a well know company & installed a new outdoor solar sensor garage light that I had purchased from same company as the fan; out of the 3 estimates from other electrical technicians, his was the lowest even though he is a licensed & insured electrician; I just had to give him a small $ tip

Was sent two referrals for new security doors on a new house project. The referrals turned out to be nothing more than local "handyman's" that once you submit your request to them, you never hear from them and then Angi.com will ask you how it went, and when you give them a negative reply, their site comes back "site not found!" Better to just google the question and the town/city you are in and you get better results!

I signed up with Angi almost 1 year ago. After getting 0 good leads I canceled my subscription which was costing $665 a month. I got a cancelation fee of $1150. Angi is a major disappointment and a costly mistake.

We are an HVAC contractor and signed up for this last week. It's a scam. Nobody ever answers my calls or replies to messages. I tried calling to cancel and they told me there's nothing I can do and I'm on the hook paying thousands for the next year. Well, I'm calling my bank and stopping the recurring payments.

Eric Lopes is a crook. You better stay away from him. He’s listed as a handyman and handyman he is NOT. Cost me thousands of dollars in lost and stolen materials. He never reports to work on n time and Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can perform better measurements.
