Anime Dwarf Review – Amazing Hoodies, But Frustrating Return Policy

I’ve been a loyal customer of Anime Dwarf for years, and I absolutely love their hoodies. I own about six or seven of their snuggle hoodies, and every winter, I spend nearly $300 because the quality is just that good. These hoodies are soft, oversized, and incredibly comfortable—truly some of the best I’ve ever worn.

As a big One Piece fan, I have the Zoro, Chopper, and Law hoodies. I also own an Inuyasha Sesshomaru hoodie and a Black Bulls hoodie from Black Clover—all snuggle hoodies. I might even be forgetting a couple! Every time I wear them, I get compliments, and I always recommend the website to others.

However, despite my love for the product, I will likely not be ordering again due to their frustrating return policy.

The Issue with My Recent Order

For my most recent purchase, I ordered two new designs—a Sailor Moon hoodie and another Law hoodie—in my usual Adult Large size. However, when the package arrived, I was surprised to find that both hoodies were Mediums instead. This was confusing because I had previously ordered a Youth Medium hoodie for my nephew, which was clearly labeled as such. My recent order, however, was labeled the same way as my previous Adult Large hoodies, yet the sizing was different.

I reached out to customer service, explaining that I received the wrong size and requested an exchange for just one of the hoodies (since my nephew decided to keep the other). I even provided pictures as proof.

The Problematic Return Policy

In response, Anime Dwarf asked me to measure the hoodie, which felt unnecessary since the hoodie already had an "M" printed on it, clearly different from the "L" hoodies I’ve ordered before. I was busy and hadn’t gotten around to measuring it, but honestly, I shouldn’t have to jump through so many hoops to exchange something that was their mistake.

Their return policy states that they only accept returns for defective or incorrect items but require a lengthy verification process, including multiple pictures and measurements. On top of that, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, which is frustrating considering the high price of these hoodies ($75–$85 each).

Final Thoughts – A Great Product With a Flawed Policy

I would love to continue supporting Anime Dwarf because their hoodies are top-tier in quality, and I have spent a lot of money on their products over the years. However, their return/exchange process is so inconvenient that it makes me hesitant to order again.

It’s disappointing because I’ve recommended this site to over 100 people who have complimented my hoodies, and I always spoke highly of them. But after this experience, I don’t know if I’ll continue shopping here. A more customer-friendly return process would go a long way in keeping loyal buyers like me coming back.

Until then, this might be my last purchase from Anime Dwarf, which is truly unfortunate.

I am thoroughly satisfied with my hoodie. It is an exact replica of the product depicted on the website. The only drawback is that the delivery time is approximately one month. However, I assure you that the wait is well worth it.

The hoodie blankets are nice from the inside but the cuffs of them are not like the picture at all. The cuffs in the picture are more sleek and hug the wrist while the cuffs on the products I received did not have that at all and just seemed like a continuation of the sleeve. Also the printing on the hoodie sweater. Was somewhat off and cut out a lot of the original image that was shown on the website. It is overall comfortable but I did reach out because one of the items sent was wrong and I would like to relieve exactly what is shown on the website cuz that’s what I paid for.

Art was beautiful, package arrived ahead of time undamaged. Would order again

Measurements were smaller than indicated in size chart, so for was more snug than I would have liked. Stitching began to come undone at side pocket seam on first wear. Overall, I was fairly disappointed about a product I was originally super excited for :(

This is the worst company I’ve ever purchased from. I have not received my blanket. I have ordered it was a Kirishima quilt blanket. I bought it on December 31 and I have not received it. I have contacted customer service about four times and they have not answered me do not buy from this company

I ordered a my hero academia Kirishima quilt blanket back in December and it has not come at all. I have reached out to them multiple times and I’ve not heard a answer by them. Do not buy from this website.

I bought the AnimeDwarf Pincess Mononoke Studio Ghibli Snug Oversized Blanket Hoodie for my oldest daughter and she couldn't be happier. Amazing quality!

I ordered a fortnite print for my son for Christmas. The image in the post was a 24x36 wrapped canvas print...what I received was a 14 x 12 piece of paper with a lopsided image that has pencil marks all over it. It is absurd; like something a child would create on a home printer. When I sent an email describing what they sent and asking for either the correct product or my money back, the company asked for both a photo of the product and a photo of the package label. That is a totally unreasonable request; I suspect it's done because most people throw the packaging away. I have lost $76.00. Make sure you don't make the same mistake. Just DONT.
