Annette is a UK based abstract artist, a former studio manager, now working from her home garage/studio she now mixes paint instead of sound. Annette's a self-taught artist with a passion for expressing the intricacies of emotion through colour and texture, who found her own solace and voice in the world of art and firmly believes others can too. Inspired by her own journey with epilepsy and the power of art therapy, experienced during a hospital stay, Annette discovered that her canvases became a visual diary, capturing the unspoken depths of her feelings. Her art is a narrative of resilience, each canvas holding a part of her story. Annette's paintings are colourful journeys full of emotion; optimism, inspiration and honesty. She invites the viewer to share in a release of any negativity, just as each painting afforded her in their creation. In the serene confines of a studio space thoughtfully crafted by her husband, she finds sanctuary to create at her own rhythm. Annette's always enthusiastic about discussing commissioned pieces, tailoring art to resonate on a personal level. Annette's art hangs on walls throughout the UK from Aberdeen to Totnes and she has been lucky enough to have had her own solo exhibition in her hometown of Tunbridge Wells, as well as taken part in several exhibitions including one at Sotheby's London in aid of Fair Shot. Driven by a desire to give back, Annette donates 20% of her art sales to The National Brain Appeal, supporting research into epilepsy and other neurological conditions. Through her art Annette not only finds healing, but extends the hand of support to those facing similar challenges.
