Fantastic dealership
Anslow Autos Limited are very professional with exceptional knowledge of a customer's requirements, next level salesmen and behind the scenes high quality work. I was in limbo buying a car as I’ve had many bad experiences with buying expensive cars and faulty ones.
I walked in Anslow autos and straight away I felt the warmth and comfort from the staff they were great and very welcoming.
Not once did they push the car onto me they let me walk round ask as many questions as I wanted and answered them confidently and accurately.
I had to return the car due to a minor defect the owner of business straight away said bring the car back and I’ll give you a car so you can work! again great service.
The car got sorted straight away and was back in happier than ever.

I recently bought an Audi from Anslow…
I recently bought an Audi from Anslow Autos Ltd. I bought it based on photos and a video, rather than travel to view it.
It was pouring with rain on the day it was delivered, so I couldn’t see that the wheels, which I assumed had been powder coated black, had been painted by hand and a pretty poor job had been made of it. This was something I found when I washed it 2 days later.
When I drove it up the A1 a couple of days later, there was a brake related rattle. It had new front brake discs and pads fitted by the dealer, so I ran it into a local garage to check that it was safe. This seems to be simply due to low quality brake discs being fitted and rattling around on the mountings, but at least I now knew it was safe. It has subsided with use, as things have got a bit covered in brake dust.
Then, in the first week of ownership, the car developed a coolant leak. Firstly, I rang Anslow Autos and, as I had bought an RAC warranty with the car, Anslow referred me to the RAC. So, after consulting the RAC warranty team, I went to a local garage on the RAC approved list.
The diagnosis was a corroded vacuum valve and apparently the water pump was beginning to fail.
Here is where Anslow Autos stood up to be counted.
The RAC would only pay for about 80% of a £1500 repair.
I contacted Anslow and they immediately sent me the money to cover the remainder of the bill and an apology for the car having developed such a serious fault so quickly.
Although there was some inconvenience and a bit of stress with the defect (I was without my car for 6 days), I was very happy with the outcome.

After purchasing an Audi q5 from a different (awful) dealership, I was very anxious about purchasing another car in fear of the same issues happening. I called to inquire about an Audi q5 and spoke about the issues with the previous dealership. Instantly I felt reassured and the garage couldn’t be more than helpful. I didn’t feel pressured at all through the whole process and they were great and having patience with me asking a million questions about the car. When I decided to purchase it, it was an easy quick process. As soon as they received the funds they had my car ready that afternoon. I couldn’t collect for 3 days due to work and the day I did collect they stayed open later to accommodate this or I’d have had to wait another few days. When I got there the showroom was stunning, the owner was lovely and allowed me time to look at the car, ask any questions and test drive too. Again I didn’t feel pressured or rushed at all. Only once I was happy with everything did I then sign the paperwork. I got given the full history for the car, all mot certificates including a 12 month new one. Every receipt and service history, and the rac report they had done. I got given a copy of the paperwork, they helped me arrange the tax and was nothing but pleasant. The car is absolutely stunning, inside and out. It looks and drives like a brand new car and after 2 weeks I can honestly say I’m 100 percent happy with the car. The log book came through in 5 days and I was able to put my private plates on and within another 4 days the new log book has come through. This was a total different experience to the first car I purchased and I can’t thank Anslow enough for how great they’ve been from start to finish. Without a doubt will use this company again when/if I ever decided to change cars. The car isn’t only everything I was looking for but such a great price for the spec and quality of car. Not to be trusted. Did not honour the deal they'd promised via Motorway, citing spurious claims which, when disproved then continued to argue over hundreds of pounds. Time wasted, evening ruined and conned. Left with a very bitter taste in our mouths.

Typically, I wouldn’t give much weight to such a negative review, but being accused of being "thieves" or "conning" you is both unfair and troubling. I’d like to address the points you've raised, starting with the so-called ‘promise’ made via Motorway.
Motorway is an online auction platform where car dealers can place bids on vehicles listed by the public. The amount we bid was based on the vehicle condition you described on Motorway. At no point was a fixed price guaranteed. According to Motorway’s terms and conditions, we reserve the right to inspect the vehicle before finalizing the purchase.
Upon inspection, we found that your vehicle did not match the description provided. The ‘good cop, bad cop’ scenario you mentioned actually refers to our driver, Jim, who communicated the vehicle’s condition over the phone with our director, who then made any final decisions regarding the offer. Based on the actual condition of the vehicle, we revised our offer accordingly.
The key word here is offer. This was a revised offer based on the true condition of the vehicle, and you were under no obligation to accept it. We do not force anyone to sell us their vehicle. It is always your decision, and had you been unhappy with the revised offer, you were free to decline, and we would have walked away.
Instead, you chose to accept the revised offer, and we completed the sale with you directly. We informed Motorway of the changes to the offer, and the transaction was finalized with your consent.
To now be accused of "conning" or "robbing" you is extremely misleading and disappointing. We value transparency and fairness in all our dealings, and this review does not reflect the nature of our transaction.

Terrible experience
My experience was a bad one with this company. I decided to part ways with my car and used an online car buying website, this company bid on my car and a price was agreed.
I was told by the dealership that a staff member would travel to Scotland by train to collect my car. Today was that day, after communication via txt messages with staff member he arrived to collect my car he took it a test drive and had a look over the car, he mentioned an issue with the turbo which was absolute nonsense as the vehicle has been checked over by my friend who is a qualified mechanic, he also said there were bodywork issues, again there was nothing wrong with my car. The staff member then goes on his phone to his boss comes back and decides to offer me £2,000 less. My day has been wasted and I am out of pocket, terrible experience.

I must admit, I was both surprised and disappointed when I came across your review. You listed your vehicle for sale on Motorway, where we successfully won the online auction to purchase it. Given the distance to your location in Scotland, we dispatched our highly trained driver, Jim, who traveled over six hours to inspect the vehicle and finalize the transaction, as outlined in Motorway’s terms.
Upon arrival, however, Jim discovered that the vehicle's condition was not as described. Tools were found in the engine bay, indicating recent work had been performed, and there was a noticeable engine rattle. Additionally, after using diagnostic equipment, fault codes related to the turbocharger were detected. We also noted areas of the bodywork that had undergone substandard repairs. Due to these undisclosed issues, we were unable to proceed with the purchase at the agreed price.
Despite this, we made you an adjusted offer reflecting the vehicle's actual condition, as we were reluctant to leave empty-handed after such a long journey. However, you chose to decline, which is entirely your prerogative, and we respected that decision by walking away without further contention.
Given these circumstances, we feel a 1-star review is not an accurate representation of our interaction. While you expressed frustration about wasting your time and incurring expenses, it was, in fact, our team that bore significant costs. Our transport expenses exceeded £300, including Jim’s return journey to the Midlands (nearly 14 hours round trip) and his wages for the day, all without completing a purchase due to the misrepresentation of the vehicle.
While we understand that not every transaction concludes successfully, it’s disappointing to receive such a low rating in this instance. We strive to ensure fair and professional dealings with every seller, and this experience was no exception.

I recently purchased a used Evoque online from Anslow Autos in Burton-on-Trent, and am very satisfied with the ultimate outcome; the delivery of the promised car in near-first class condition. Upon my request, a 12-month MOT was in place, which helped to boost my confidence. It revealed a need for new brake pads, which was done. A small error with the final invoice was corrected by a simple email.
The manager (Ray) and his colleagues (Jenny and Milli) were professional and courteous throughout the transaction, and accurate with how the car was described - "beautiful". I was further impressed by the Jameel, who drove over two hours to deliver the car within the given timescale. His generous smile and professional attitude complemented the overall Anslow Autos purchasing experience. When you buy anything online, especially large electrical items or vehicles, you're taking a bit of a blind risk, and that's why it's important to read reviews such as this one before committing yourself. You would of course go for a test drive, if at all possible; this wasn't, in my case. I am pleased that I found my new/used motor via Anslow Autos. I will of course update this review if anything goes wrong, but for now, I emphatically recommend this company.

when told by this garage it had been checked and you can take it the same day.
