Written by the company

Answering Legal provides a professional, highly trained answering service for law firms of any size. They are more than just another answering service because they treat every one of your calls as a potential client. In addition to 24/7 phone answering support, Answering Legal offers full new client intake and bilingual phone answering. They also provide an easy-to-use mobile app for their customers.

In 2025, Answering Legal expanded its suite of products even further by introducing an AI-powered chatbot for law firms. The chatbot delivers instant, empathetic, and conversational responses to urgent questions from website visitors. The Answering Legal team partners with firms to customize the information their chatbot provides and manages the full installation process. The chatbot is currently available free for all law firms.

In recent months, Answering Legal has also launched a live translation service to help attorneys communicate seamlessly with non-English-speaking clients. With access to professional translators in hundreds of languages, they ensure that no critical detail is ever lost in translation.

Through all of these innovations, Answering Legal’s core service remains the same: capturing leads over the phone. Their virtual receptionist team continues to provide around-the-clock live answering and an elite intake team dedicated to giving every new lead a welcoming first impression.

Trial was a disaster

They offered a trial opportunity for a company I consult with where I was involved. It was a total disaster. The initial scripts for the agents were not properly drafted, which caused a lot of confusion. The agents were robotic and not welcoming and couldn’t think outside the script. We cancelled the trial before it ended. I wouldn’t recommend this company as their impact on the organizations they try to serve was not considered.

So far, they are doing exactly what they claim to do, and they do it well. Responsive and consistent.

Happy New Customer

I am really happy to be working with Answering Legal. Just finished the two-week trial and signed with them today. Other answering services do not compare. The staff understands the practice of law and doesn't waste time or money, and there are no time-killing calls by clueless operators.

Trial Period Evaluation

During my trial period the call routing I requested was followed along with the script. New potential clients were scheduled consultations and their information was correctly entered into our CRM. I received no complaints from my clients regarding their interactions with Answering Legal.

The service is decent

The service is decent. However, there is little to no control in screening calls. Call volume estimates are rarely accurate and you wind up paying hundreds of dollars past your plan coverage in overage fees. I’ve since switched to a much easier interface that is coupled with an app that allows more user control.

Excellent and easy

The quality of the service is excellent, also the sales people were honest, patient, and heard what I needed. They offered the product I needed and made the signup process very simple.
