Asked to work without contract; salary not paid
I had a very disappointing experience with ANWA Properties Real Estate (Dubai).
I was asked to start working without being issued an offer letter or any formal employment contract. Based on verbal assurances, I worked with the company for almost a month.
During this period, they utilized my IT background and had me set up and organize their CRM system, along with other assigned responsibilities. This work was done in good faith, with the expectation that employment formalities and salary payment would be completed as assured.
Although I was paid a partial amount, it was explicitly mentioned that this was only towards expenses and not salary. No salary was paid for the work done, despite repeated follow-ups, and no proper resolution was provided.
Making someone work without documentation, using their professional skills, and then failing to pay salary for completed work is highly unprofessional and unethical. I strongly advise others to ensure a written offer letter and clear salary terms are in place before starting work with this company.
