Read before purxhasing

We purchased travel insurance with the expectation that it would provide meaningful protection in the event unforeseen circumstances arose. After waiting on hold for nearly an hour to file a claim, we were informed that our policy included “no cancellation coverage for any reason.” It is extremely frustrating and misleading to offer a travel insurance product that does not provide one of the most basic protections consumers reasonably expect when purchasing coverage. The entire experience was disappointing, confusing, and a complete waste of time.

I received a response back from AON Travel Care Insurance indicating I have not filed a claim with them. After speaking with your representative, they indicated we have no claim since our policy did not cover any type of cancellations. Another case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing!

Reliable

I always got an answer to my questions , unlike my insurance company who kept prolonging the claim. I got all of my money back from my claim. Customer service was always courteous and I appreciate that. Thank you.

My Husband and I were to go on a cruise…

My Husband and I were to go on a cruise to Italy Greece and Croatia march 29-april 12 2026
On 3/18/2026 his Defibrillator shocked him,
2 Dr's notes later claiming he should not go,it is still not enough.
They want another note with medical records..
This is a VERY DIFFICULT PROCESS attempting to get $10,575 back as we are not able to rebook another cruise.
Seems only if a person passes away and you provide a death certificate is this anything but ALOT OF WORK.
still may 6th not sure if they will refund after several calls and a supervisor .
Beyond frustrated!!!
I will keep you updated...
Diane

Effortlessly filed claim

I had an issue while trying to make a claim on-line. The website wasn't letting me pick which claim I was making. I emailed Aon and I received an email back the next day. I tried the website again (so I didn't have to contact them telephone) and the claim went through effortlessly. I was paid on my medical claim and received a reimbursement check within five days. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Spouse became ill in London few days before cruise

Spouse became ill a few days before our cruise from Southampton. We were staying in a London hotel and the Staff called their Doctor On Call. Dr visit to hotel was prompt and treatment outlined, and cured sufficiently to make cruise on embarkation day. We filed a claim for the medical expenses and AON reimbursed the full amount. Very pleased with the trip protection coverage we had and the refund process.

Aon has asked out Dr for information 3 times each time they say they need more information and keep the cycle going so you will just forget about it. Their business practice is to hassle you till u give up. Choose another trip insurance and stay away from aon. I will be filing a claim with bbc today and contacting my attorney. Please join me in a class action lawsuit.

Had a travel delay on a cruise due to…

Had a travel delay on a cruise due to weather. We traveled as a group of 3. The reimbursed 1 of us for just food and ground transportation (omitting hotel stay or missed days on cruise. Our account was combined as a group so that the adjustor could have all the information in 1 place to treat all of us the same. The other 2 in the party were reimbursed for lost cruise days (requiring us to provide detailed hotel receipt). I have had the run around since January after several calls and getting conflicting information. It feels like they are doing all they can to NOT pay. I recommend NOT doing business with this company either. When I think of their name I get a pit in my stomach. Bad Juju.

Refund

After we were initially denied on our legitimate claim, we appealed and they worked with us and got more information from the doctor and awarded us with a refund.

We were very surprised, as I've heard many stories about travel insurance never pays out.

Aon giving us the runaround

We had to cancel a cruise in February because my husband has a herniated disc. The Tuesday before the cruise, he was unable to stand and walk or even get out of bed without terrible pain. We have provided Aon with a ton of documentation from my husband's doctors proving that he was unable to go on this trip, but they keep demanding more. Highly recommend that you Don't do business with Aon.

Aon Affinity Does NOT Support Military!!!

***UPDATING TO ADD***
They are money-hungry scam artists. Im not even sure what they cover at this point. Incredibly disappointing they do not support our military members.

In December of 2025, I booked a cruise for my husband and myself. It was scheduled for 3/14/26 - 3/21/26. My husband has been a contractor with the US govt assisting in operations overseas in the Middle East since 2020. He is a USMC vet and has been proudly serving with our country since 2015. His most deployment rotation began November of 2025 and he was scheduled to return home early March before the cruise. Out of every year, he is gone for around 9 months. We were very excited to go on this vacation, and he has a high-stress job and we are rarely able to go on vacation. On 2/28/26, the war began. We didn’t know how long it would last, but inevitably, airspace at his location closed and his flight was cancelled. We held out hope for a little bit hoping he would still be able to make it home, but it didn’t work out. On 3/4/26, I cancelled the flights and cruise and filed a claim with Aon for the trip, as my husband was stuck in conflict and there were riots happening at his location. After 2 1/2 weeks of not hearing, I called on 3/23/26 and was told I’d receive communications within 10 days. I received an email 3/25/26 advising me my claim was denied because war and attacks just so happen to be excluded. I understand they have that disclaimer because if anything devastating happened stateside, they would have to pay out for a lot of people. But for one person, especially someone who is sacrificing his life defending a compound and getting hit by rockets? We have absolutely no idea when he’s going to be able to come home, and It feels immoral and it’s excruciatingly disheartening that they lack any moral compass to support him. The last disclaimer I would think to look for is war, but this could not have been prevented in any way, shape, or form, and now we have to suffer even more than we already are.
