Avoid Automotive Parts Distribution. They promised dispatch in 2-3 days (took 5), and then delivered my tool to the wrong address. Complete waste of time and incompetent service. Will never buy from them again.

Good price decent quality

Appalling.
Took money for a condenser shown as in stock. Condenser was NOT in stock at all.
Took several days to get a refund and of course they then blame the banks.
They didn’t seem very concerned or bothered that I was out of pocket for so long and nothing offered as compensation for the loss they caused.
Disgusted - This company don’t deserve your business.

Excellent service once again, very pleased with my orders and would recommend to anyone looking to purchase detailing products.

Service was top dollar. I ordered a set of shoick absorbers that had a long leadtime. They found better alternatives and helped me very much on the cost. I will be using them again.

First time using this company, ordered a part for next day delivery. Turns out the part was unavailable, they contacted me very quickly apologising and offering an alternative product. Very quick and very helpful (thank you Cameron) will be using them again.

I waited 2 weeks for delivery, which doesn't align with what the website states. The product listing says "In stock with supplier, dispatched in 0-3 working days"—language that clearly suggests the item ships directly from the supplier within 3 days. It does not indicate a 2-week wait.

I understand that the 0-3 days refers to the dispatch timeframe, but if the item was already in stock at the supplier, there's no justification for a 2-week total delivery time. Either the product wasn't actually in stock, or there's a significant unexplained delay between dispatch and delivery.

I've noticed other Trustpilot reviews mentioning the same issue, which suggests this discrepancy between the stated delivery time and actual delivery time is a recurring problem. The website's wording sets a specific expectation that isn't being met in practice.

It appears APD is simply a middleman in this process, which likely means they're adding a percentage markup to the supplier's price. If that's the case, customers could potentially find the same products cheaper by purchasing directly from the supplier rather than paying the added fee, and you would no doubt receive it quicker.

From the very helpful guy on the phone (I phoned to double check I was ordering the correct part and he phoned their supplier and called me back within minutes to confirm) to the very quick delivery (next day) I couldn't fault my first experience with APD

I ordered a part for my car on the 26th of September and was expecting 5/6 working days for it to arrive. Its not the 8th of October and I haven't received anything.
Tried to track the part with the reference number I was given and it dont work I have also tried to call numerous times to no answer and a message machine that tells me its full , and cuts the call off.. not happy

I need to write this review because of the truly exceptional service that I received from one of the guys at the Swindon branch recently.
I ordered some parts from them that the carrier managed to lose in transit. Tracked progress only to be told by the carrier that “it’s lost”. Great, thanks for that helpful statement! Phoned APD to advise and another was sent out immediately- no fuss, no bother, just a great response from APD.
The replacement did arrive quickly, but that had been damaged in transit - item dented and the box was ripped. It’s a wonder how the item was still in the package, as that was completely torn on one side.
Again, a fantastic response from APD after I sent images of the item as received. A third item was sent out that arrived intact soon after, and all was good.
I can’t fault APD with the way the carrier delivery saga was resolved. Huge thanks to Ed - it’s the attitude of the seller that counts when things go wrong - the drama wasn’t of APD’s making in any way, but they stood up to the mark and had the decency to get it sorted without faff. Top service indeed; thank you Ed. If only other companies would be as efficient to achieve a resolve when things go wrong. A great result from you. 👍🏻

Swift delivery by APD for suspension bushes for my Polo. Had them fitted yesterday and have made my steering feel more direct. The down-side is the vibration I now feel due to the new bushes, whereas the old worn bushes seem to do a better job of absorbing the vibration. I hope going for non-voided/non-OEM bushes doesn’t turn out to be a mistake in the long run.
