Apple staff will blatantly lie about stock availability
On the 27th May we ordered and paid for a pack of four air-tags online to pick up at the Garden City store. Got a notification that apple will email me when the air tags are ready. I waited a week and no notification came. My friends visited the store and purchased air tags and told me they had plenty of them in stock. On the 3rd June I visited the store and asked if my order was ready, the apple staff member told me they had no air tags is stock and I will get a notification email when they are ready. I then approached another staff member and asked if I can purchase some air tags. He said yes they have plenty in stock so I paid for a four pack and left. I then went home and canceled my online order.
Moral of my story - don’t waste your time ordering and paying for products through the Apple Online Store. They will take your money, make you wait and the physical store staff will lie to you about stock availability. Not good enough Apple!

This is the most appalling service I have ever experienced. First order, Macbook Pro, $3799. Money left my account. Order "cancelled" I found out a week later. No one contacted me. They said money had not left my account. Desperate for computer so places a second order. Another $3799 left my account. A week later. No computer. I called. order "cancelled". No one contacted me. So far Apple are $8000 up. And I am one computer down. Avoid Apple Australia like the plague. Shocking.

Horrible Apple Watch Repair Experience
I have an apple watch originally purchased in the US, in February whilst traveling for work in the UK I broke the screen, my fault totally however luckily I had apple plus and could order a replacement. I called right away and was told that I could get a replacement device when I got back to Australia no problems, happy me I finished up my work trip and came back to Aus to order a repair, I was then told that no I couldn't replace it here because it is a US device and they would not have the parts / replacements here and I would have to either send it back to the US or UK for a replacement, which I could do by mail but I would have to send it to someone in that region to do, they would not handle international shipping. So I was stuck, I had enough time, if I was told this earlier I could have just done the repair/replace in the UK but instead now I have a device and no one to send it to in either region that could do that for me. Fast forward 4 months I now find someone in the UK that is willing to process the repair to me so I send it to them, of course with Covid it takes 1 month for the mail to reach them, once it gets there I try to organise the repair, they then tell me that I can't get that done via mail because its not a UK device and the person would have to travel into a store which is annoying and arbitrary because now I need to ask this person to spend 2-3 hours plus of their time to organise this repair for me BUT here is the kicker, they told me I should have just had it replaced in Australia and that would have been perfectly fine. I have had this broken device for almost 6 months now, have organised and paid postage to send it overseas and back and I in fact could have replaced here (or so they say this time). And this repair service is something that we pay for? By far this has been the worst customer experience of my life.
Contrast that with Garmin, my wife's watch just stopped working due to a software fault. It's out of regular warranty now, but she calls for advice. They organise to send a replacement the same day.
Macbook
Their devices seem to last a long time.... Still have an iPod from 2004 that works. Not impressed with my Macbook though and will probably go back to Windows after this. The apple store guy actually told me he didn't think much of them either! The screen developed the dreaded delaminating issue and they wouldn't fix it because it was a few months out of recall (you'd think a recall would pretty much have no time limit).

Customer service with compassion. I recommend visiting an Apple Store for any service related issue. Much better than dealing with other retailers or support options.

My partner and i have a apple lap top with a flickering screen. We took it to apple, they tested the unit with another screen and said it was ok which proved the pc board was not faulty and it was just the screen. They then agreed to change the screen at no cost because the screen was still under warranty. We were happy with that so we left the unit with them. We asked for a receipt but they said they'll send an email confirmation which we thought was a bit sus but anyway we did get an email stating no cost.
A few days later we get a call from apple saying they changed the screen but its stil flickering so some board needs to be changed at a cost of $640. We were shocked and rang them and argued that they quoted us for a repair and now they want to charge extra. We mentioned the unit worked fine when it was tested on that day so they must have done damage when changing the screen. They said we can pick the faulty unit up if not happy.
Is this the law where they can just pick a ridiculous figure from there backside after they have given us a quote! I think its a scam and big names like Apple should show more respect to loyal customers.!!!

Worth every penny
I strongly disagree with Apple's corporate tax avoidance, however in an era of built-in-obsolesence I greatly appreciated that they would help me fix an inherent problem in a 5 year old laptop. I was a student and it cost me 10% of my annual income when I bought it, so it was a huge investment, but 5 years later, it's working like new. I struggle to think of any other tech company that would do this.
