We’re in challenging times and some firms understandably can’t offer normal services.
This company can’t either but they won’t tell you that. Paid for next day delivery for a fridge freezer because I desperately needed it next day and called to ensure all ok. Was told for sure it was all on track.
That was days ago and I’m now being told 14 days. I’d have ordered elsewhere if I’d have known that and certainly wouldn’t have sent the old fridge to the tip!!

Poor, Poor Poor. Bought extra guarantee for Microwave bought in 2018 .Email communication was so poor with them that every reply was took over a week from them. In addition cannot get through to them on the phone. They use the pandemic as an excuse, come one how long have you had to sort home working and technology so staff can work remotely. I in the end contacted the manufacture, within 2 minutes they sorted a replacement. Ao.com is a lot better.

Everyone seems to have an excuse of COVID for their incompetence. These guys are way ahead. I ordered a washing machine which was supposed to be delivered on 18th Nov. After no communication from them, I called and after their average wait of 20-30 minutes was told that the manufacturer is not delivering them till January. Old machine had been unplugged and dragged to the front door the day before (as instructed). I was told another model (about £40 more expensive) was in stock and can be delivered by EXPRESS DELIVERY the next day. After waiting till 8pm, nothing. Called again this morning and was told that they cannot get in touch with their "delivery team" and someone will call me back. What a farce and a waste of time.
Deal with them at your risk, especially during this period.

I should have researched them before I'd ordered. Vapourware. Never had goods in stock and pushed delivery dates back after waiting weeks.
Phones that dont work - they call you but lines are so poor. Unable to have a meaningful conversation before being cutoff. If you call them back, its impossible to get through. I would suggest going to someone more reputable like AO who will tell you if its in stock or not!!

Having waited 5 WEEKS for delivery of a range cooker , it finally arrived , I’d employed a gas safe fitter to install, pipe work duly altered ,the range was lifted into position and connected, on levelling the appliance the engineer noticed the cooker had been dropped onto its front left hand corner damaging both the feet and the door alignment,this only became clear on removal of ‘protective’ packaging & protective film!. so I made a phone call, to an answer machine ‘due to covid we’re not answering basically’ so, I’ll fire of some pictures to damaged goods ,a reply comes , from a chap who I would describe as ‘polite rude’ ., ‘sorry sir , you’ve installed it , so no exchange, no repair , read out terms & conditions! ,, I can see the problem sir , but you should have seen in before the install, therefore you’ve excepted the goods !

Crap service - AVOID!
Crap service. Didn't deliver, said they had, said they had proof by way of photos. I asked them to provide and they sent me a pic of a washer in the back of a van - you couldn't see anything outside of the vehicle so had no idea where it was. Said they were looking into it back in September, it's now November and they have not contacted me. Tried emailing and calling, no response - blaming COVID... Utter sheisters. They owe me £300. Taking money for something and then not delivering it is theft!
Great customer service
Fridge Freezer arrived damage. They sorted a replacement out with 7 days had a new one with old one taken away at the same time.

Appalling customer service
I ordered and paid for a fridge freezer in July and have had the delivery date delayed 5 times so far. I complained and was given a standard 'very sorry' letter with my name and product cut and pasted.
The worst place to buy online. Don't be fooled that all online retailers have excellent customer service.
Tempted by an alternate provider for a fridge freezer at a good price, but fiasco dealing with them from start to finish which lasted 4 weeks of stress, anxiety and disappointment.
After ordering and paying for delivery we received a damaged fridge. The delivery men knew it was already damaged as there was a massive hole in the box. They cunningly made sure the hole was facing away from me and left it on the step so I was blocked in the house, knowing full well the fridge was damaged. No signature was taken and when I asked if I could check it first they said they were not authorised to wait. They literally ran back to the van and drove off. To my horror when I asked my family to help me bring it inside we immediately saw the hole and through that could see a dent in the door. I contacted them by phone and email and was left to wait for a 'callback' which took days to happen. They would not come to collect it till a week later and ordered a replacement after initially telling us there was no stock which added to the confusion. The following week different drivers picked up the damaged fridge but this time I waited outside the house for them and said I would not accept delivery unless I checked it and if it was damaged as well they had to take it back that day as I would not accept keeping a fridge in my hall for another week. Reluctantly they agreed and we discovered this fridge was damaged too and also had a small hole in the box. The drivers let me repack the fridge as I had carefully unpacked it without ripping anything and I asked for a refund. The refund did not happen until more than a week later after 6 further emails and 2 phone calls. (We ordered a different fridge, more expensive, from AO but had a completely different, stress-free experience). I would avoid Appliances Direct at all costs and would never order from them again. If I could give no stars I would have.

Won't answer messages. Took over a week for an initial response re faulty goods then they send daft messages instead of authorising a return just to put you off using warranty. I'm contacting trading standards. Won't buy from this lot again.

I ordered a £400 fan from our local High Street electrical shop, but somehow, (at the start of lockdown when there was some uncertainty about shops being open etc) I received delivery 2 days later by Appliancesdirect - God only knows why or how!). They somehow high jacked the order.
After assembling and installing correctly, it developed a fault 2 days later. Fortunately, I had sent the 2 year Manufacturer’s Warranty forms off. Emailed Appliancesdirect, who passed the buck and told me to claim off the makers, who immediately pointed out that the Retailer were responsible (under the Consumer Act 2015) to replace/refund etc! That’s where the trouble started! They washed their hands of it all, refusing to meet their obligations and making all sorts of excuses, over nearly a month about ‘uplift’ numbers and other mumbojumbo nonsense, but dug their heels in. The agents I dealt with were all different, so had to explain to each the problems I had. Trying to phone them was a no-no (usual ‘we’re very busy re Covid’ etc) and waiting time between one and two hours on hold. An absolute nightmare! After a month of wasted time, got through to a manager to assigned someone to take up my case! That was 3 weeks ago! Never heard from them again! Non-existent customer service, no refund, but glad I am able to fall back on manufacturer’s Warranty and at least got it repaired! Should have gone straight to them in the first place, same price, excellent customer service, no quibbles!
Let this be a lesson - DON’T TOUCH APPLIANCES DIRECT WITH A BARGE POLE - EVER!!

Absolutely awful service, got an air conditioner unit delivered 2 days ago, part missing (major part, what idiot packed the box?), had terrible service, I think they use the virus as a terrible excuse for poor service. Haven't heard from anyone, cant use this expensive item. They need to remember that the customer is the almost, we pay wages, we pay for a business. What's in the brain cell of the person managing this awful service. I'm sure the staff feel the same way, it's the management that have failed! If you are a prospective customer!!! Run, run, run! My item will be landing on their doorstep with a refund request asap!

Avoid this company at all costs. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I was meant to receive my item 10 days ago. It hasn’t arrived and they are taking no responsibility and don’t seem interested in sorting it out in either a timely or satisfactory manner. This firm is full of cretins and deeply unpleasant people who leave you on hold until a message comes in saying they aren't taking any more phone calls! The delivery guy was a cretin. I bought a washing machine from this firm, and paid to have my old one taken away. I got someone to take my old machine outside the house (because while coronavirus is on the deiivery guy is not allowed to come in the house) and left it there approximately an hour before the delivery guy arrived with the new machine. I was told that the guy would ring me half an hour before arrival but I received no phone call. When he arrived he wouldn't even speak on the intercom. I didn't want to go out while he was there so as not to put him or myself at risk, so waited five minutes. I assumed he would have taken the old one away. Instead I found the new one right next to the old one which was still there! He had not had the sense to take it away even though that was presumably what he had been ordered to do, nor the sense to ask me about it. So now I am stuck with the old one here outside. When I phone I get this obnoxious guy who just puts me on hold. Don't ever buy from this rotten to the core company. They aren't even cheaper than intelligent guys like John Lewis .
