Over promised under delivered- there must be better options
ApprovalMax sales team promised things that can't be accomplished without monthly add-on fees. Support articles claim it can support custom fields, BUT that only works on one type of workflow and can't be used in the Approval Matrix. Review steps can only come at the beginning so if accounting wants to change something it has to go all the way back through approvals. If you want a second approver only over a certain dollar amount that is apparently impossible, but I can't believe this so I think the customer service rep just doesn't understand me. I don't think anyone on the team has ever actually worked on an accounting team as they don't seem to understand how the end user would use to product and basically respond like a computer talking about only what ApprovalMax can do or offering to add feedback to the product team. I'd suggest the product team hire someone who has actually worked in accounting and make some improvements. Frustrated that I signed-up for an annual contract already...
