Highly talented teacher

I’ve been learning Arabic – in my case, Colloquial Egyptian Arabic – for a few months now with Suzan. She was recommended to me by a friend, who also learns with her, and I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied. The lessons are always lively and fun, and there isn’t a single day that I don’t look forward to them. This is down to Suzan’s great professionalism, her teaching methods, and her flexibility in adapting to my work and personal life.

I have learnt several languages throughout my life and I can say with certainty that this is the best experience I have ever had. I am constantly surprised by the progress I make, almost without realising it. Suzan is kind, warm, patient, extremely respectful and a highly talented teacher.

I highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn either Colloquial Egyptian Arabic or Modern Standard Arabic.

Excellent Arabic Teacher

Suzan is a very good and very reliable teacher. I took in-person classes with Suzan while living in Cairo and also online classes back home. It was great to have such a professional and reliable teacher. She is able to teach modern standard as well as Egyptian colloquial Arabic. I would highly recommend Suzan to everyone thinking of starting one-on-one Arabic lessons.

Very good structure

Being a teacher myself, I appreciated Suzan’s way of structuring the lectures. She is attending to where I as a learner is in my learning process but keeping the lessons on track to make sure that you actually progress. Both online and face to face lessons worked very well.

A highly competent and reliable teacher

My wife and I had Arabic lessons with Suzan for many months while I was working in Egypt, in an international school. She was an incredibly friendly, helpful and reliable teacher. Not only did we learn a lot of Arabic but she also helped us out with communicating in emergencies. We also used her as a translator for contracts. We cannot recommend her enough.

Best language classes ever

I am having classes with Suzan for a very long time now in an on-and-off basis, whenever I can fit in the time. Not only does she accommodate anything I am interested in at the time, she is also able to
tailor everything to whatever level the student needs.

Suzan is super friendly and fun, and a very reliable person. She speaks English very well, is also very organized and thank goodness very flexible which suits me a lot as sometimes things come in the way or I am in different countries.

When I started having classes, I already knew some Egyptian arabic before but thanks to Suzan it got much more structured and sorted and started to make much more sense as we connected the dots.

We started off in Cairo meeting in person, with lessons I would look at and prepare, we would then go through them together, discuss, look at my questions and then I would usually get homework to go through by myself. This style suited me very well as a beginner as you built up step by step all the necessary basics and you can do it in the speed you need until it all makes sense.

Eventually we switched over to online classes, which works just as well and whenever possible we meet in Cairo again.
By now, I am on a more intermediate level and Suzan constantly looks at new potential material we can go through, whether it is movies, song texts, books or anything else that she comes across often giving great insights into the Egyptian culture. Therefore the lessons are always super interesting and fun. You can ask for something you want to look at and she will go out of her way to incorporate it into your class.

I have learned a lot of languages during the last decades, either by myself or in a class and it was never as profound but at the same time so interesting as with Suzan. She gets never tired to answer my questions. You get a lot out of it and as someone working in Egypt for longer times I especially appreciate the inside into modern slang and proverbs, that you can only learn from a local. As she knows fusha (modern standard arabic) as well she can always point out differences or parallels. In addition, the ability of Suzan to make it work for you personally and encourage you to learn is probably her greatest gift.

Suzan is a patient and professional…

Suzan is a patient and professional teacher. She speaks excellent English and conveys her love of her native Arabic language through her teaching. Suzan is flexible and reliable. I requested an adjusted lesson timetable because of health difficulties and Suzan was not only able to accommodate this but actually sends me reminders the day before class which is thoughtful as well as useful. I truthfully would not still be on my Arabic learning journey without Suzan and her support.

You want to learn Arabic? Learn with Suzan!

Learning a new language can feel like a daunting task, especially when tackling colloquial Egyptian Arabic. Since 2014, I’ve been taking online classes with Suzane. While most teachers were focusing on pen and paper, Suzan was already teaching for the future. Her engaging teaching methods seamlessly blend writing, reading, and conversation practice. Her approach is both methodical and adaptable, tailored to individual needs and preferences to ensure steady progress and sustained engagement. Whenever I needed a refresher, I always returned to Suzane, despite occasional doubts about my progress. People often inquire about my Arabic proficiency, and the answer is simple: Suzane. If you seek a seasoned language instructor adept at teaching foreign adult learners, your search ends here.

Professional, adaptable and highly qualified

If anyone is interested in learning Arabic, I can highly recommend Suzan Mohammad. She is a professional and gifted teacher who also is very supportive and has excellent resources.

I have studied more than one language, and over the years I have had quite a few different language teachers, but Suzan was truly one of the best, in spite of the fact that our lessons were all done online.

She is always on time and prepared for lessons, she provides just the right amount of encouragement and pushing, and she is flexible to adapt to the needs and goals of the learner. I even had the pleasure to visit her when I traveled to Egypt in 2017.

Suzan can teach both formal and colloquial Arabic, according to the student’s interest. You truly will be in the hands of a professional teacher if you learn with Suzan.

Amazing experience for learning Arabic with Suzan

Suzan was my Arabic teacher for over a year. I had a wonderful experience with her. She was patient and attentive. She not only taught the language but also shared insights about Egyptian culture and daily life. If I have more free time in the future to improve my Arabic, I will definitely learn Arabic with Suzan again.
我跟Suzan老師學了超過一年的阿拉伯語埃及方言,經驗非常好,她很有耐心且教學十分豐富,她不只教語言也會解釋很多埃及現今文化和日常生活。希望未來我能有更多的時間再來學阿拉伯語,我會再請Suzan當我的老師的!
