Absolutely frustrating and huge waste of money

I found that working with Aran Grant was frustrating and cost me more money than the savings was worth. First, the agents offered flights with the lowest fares first, but had the most complicated itineraries (multiple stops) or long layovers. I ended up spending my time finding the best flight options myself, then feeding flight numbers to the agents. Basically, being my own travel agent would have been much easier. Then, the flights are all non-refundable, so if you want to save $500 on a business class flight, you'll have to spend $700 on travel protection ("cancel for any reason" insurance) and then only get 80% back what you spent on the ticket. After purchasing "cancel for any reason", additional travel insurance and adding a tip the agent asked for, I spend an additional $1,000+. After our country decided to invade Venezuela, I decided solo travel wouldn't be a good idea so I cancelled my trip, losing another $1,200, for a total of $2,200. The other issue was, I had planned to fly into one city, stay for a few days, then fly further south to another location. After confirming all the flights I ended up with one of the flight legs missing. I basically had no flight to the second location, even though I was flying home from the second location. Literally nothing about this experience was good and I will never use Aran Grant again.

Inconsistent Quality of Service!

Have used arangrant for business class flights on 4 ouverseas trips for myself and wife. Price good, service good to fair depending on agent. But, my most recent agent, Joec, did a fair to good job with airfare, but was not honest about ability to book hotels for us. Tried to book hotel in Papeete with hotel voucher he provided as part of ticket. He went quiet for two weeks in spite of several follow-up email. Finally, after sending last attempt to book through arangrant, he responded saying my email were sent to the "wrong cue" and he would get right on it. 3 days later, no response. Sent email saying i was through with him and arangrant for the run-around. Obviously he didn't want to honor hotel voucher he provided or the revenue he would get from a hotel booking wasn't worth his time... Arangrant CAN be a great place to get business class airfares, BUT.... consistently good service with them depends on finding a good agent and keeping with him/her.

Liars

I went to Australia for 3 weeks and flew business class. I had no problems flying but while there I came down with a bladder infection. I went to a local clinic and had it taken care of.
The problem comes when I try to get reimbursed from the insurance. Arangrant says I only had flight insurance not medical. I was told by agent Colin, I’m sure not his real name, that the insurance was for flight and medical. I asked if I had to go to the doctor or hospital what do I show them? He said just call Arangrant and ask for customer service. I guess you need an attorney to get flight tickets!

Seasoned travelers….very poor experience

We are seasoned travelers and have lived overseas….96 countries and worked with dozens of travel agencies. We have recently traveled to Africa from the US. We had to deal with no less than 12 Arangrant agents and always got “it will take some time”. It took 5 months to get satisfactory bookings and threats of forfeiture from Arangrant and finally got a mess fixed by going directly to the carriers. Summing up the experience…the worst we’ve ever dealt with in a travel agency….mistakes, false information, constant schedule changes. After threatening legal action against them and telling Arangrant to cease any further contact with us….it stopped, and cost us plenty to fix the mess. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, it will save you headaches, sleepless nights and incredible frustration.
