A&R Electronic Developments Ltd was founded in 1988 by 2 brothers, Andrew & Richard (A&R) . Over the past 30+ years we have developed, designed & improved new and existing ideas that our clients required. Including Truma & Carver In the last 5-6 years we have diversified into repairing out of warranty and obsolete caravan electronic equipment, such as motor mover control units, gas water and space heating electronics, Truma combi boilers plus designing and manufacturing our own compatible handsets to work with many of the movers on the market. We aim to provide a cost effective solution for many products still out in the field that are now no longer under warranty, manufactured or nobody else knows how to fix. The repair side is small setup consisting of Father & Son (Richard & Yan) which enables us to run smoothly, quickly and efficiently. Now trading under the company Premier Tech Services Ltd. Powrtouch caravan motor mover control box repair

One of my two Powrtouch caravan motor mover control boxes failed. Looked this company up on the web. Despatched the box to them. They received it Monday morning. Control box repaired, tested and arrived back within 24 hours. Fantastic service. I refitted the box and it's fully functional. Thank you so much!

I lost the handset for caravan mover.

I lost the handset for caravan mover.
Found these guys via an internet search, needed help to select the correct one. A phone call and email with pics and a prompt reply got this sorted, it arrived in less than a week with easy instructions for pairing.
All sorted now.

This is my first time using this company.

This is my first time using this company and boy am I glad I did.
I sent my Truma/mover TE circuit board to them as it was not working. They found a fault which was repaired. I sent it to them on Monday and received it back on Wednesday (same week) all fixed. What an absolute
fantastic service.

My Carvery cascade unit wouldn't ignite I posted the unit Monday lunch time it returned Wednesday all fixed and ready to reinstall what a fantastic service I would highly recommend A&R thank you so much.

Replacement caravan mover handset

On return from holiday caravan stuck very awkwardly positioned at front of house because mover failed for first time in 12 years. Suspected faulty handset and telephoned A&R for advice who confirmed likely handset fault. Ordered a new one from A&R which arrived in next post . Original handset no longer produced but the compatible one works well and even fits in the original storage cradle. Caravan now neatly parked and couldn’t be more satisfied with such excellent service. Many thanks!

Excellent Efficient Quick Service

Recommended by my caravan service engineer.
Not disappointed! Excellent service.
Power touch mover control box repaired and rematched to remote within 24hrs and was returned packaged securely.
This kind of service is almost unheard of today.
Cant recommend AR Dev.highly enough. I will certainly let all my caravan friends know about you. You are brilliant! Thank you

Truma M1 Motor Mover Repair

Had a Truma M1 motor mover fail. Dropped the unit off first thing and had the unit back repaired within half an hour. Refitted to the van and works perfectly. Fantastic service

Truma combustion fan repair

I sent the Truma combustion fan off for repair/ refurbishment and it was returned within 3 days! Impressive service with great communication and 12 month warranty on repair. Fitted part and working fine. Would highly recommend

Excellent product & Service

Thank you AR Electronics come to move the caravan on Sunday and found that the circuit board on the mover handset had got wet and had destroyed 3 of the functions. Imposable to move the caravan of the driveway without the mover and we had booked to go away in a few days. Ordered a universal handset from AR Electronics from their website on the Sunday night hoping it would work and arrive on time. Brilliant the handset arrived promptly on Tuesday morning and then after following the simple pairing instructions the controller worked straight away. The handset is more robust than my old one and works perfectly so very pleased. One again thank you AR Electronics. Would highly recommend your service and products

This is really a remarkable company

This is really a remarkable company! Our Truma boiler stopped igniting after 27 years of service… I got the boiler out of its compact cupboard and drove it down from SW Scotland to Staffordshire hoping against hope Richard could repair it. The flat fee (fix or no fee) was very reasonable set against the cost of a new boiler! And he identified the problem, picked out a new diode from his stock, replaced it in the motherboard and voila! Ignition and both air heat and hot water modes kicked in perfectly. I drove home a very happy man and am looking forward to reinstalling the beast in our ancient motorhome now. Thanks so much, Richard, very much appreciated!

Be Aware

Gave a raven review 5 stars the last time I used this company to repair a water heater control unit for my Motor home. With this experience I sent over the Motorhome Heater PCB/ igniter confident of receiving the same courtesy and service as I had experienced in the past with Richard.

I received an email from Yan advising the item was repaired and method of payment. I went with pay pal and asked how I did this. He replied input to PayPal my e mail. Using the email on the bottom of his e mail PayPal would not recognise it.

I re emailed Yan and got an abrupt reply saying it works, referring to his email address.

I went back to PayPal and inserted Richards email which allowed me to make the payment. I copied this payment and sent it to Yan. His reply "fine you will have to wait until Richard confirms this to me, this is why I told you to use my email.
Panicking that this would create a delay on this much needed it ( it had gotten delayed by an Post on the way over I went back to Yans email to me and copied his email address this time from the top of the email and again tried PayPal which worked!!!. I again paid the amount and sent him again proof.

The amount I payed to Richard was immediately refunded and the item arrived here in Ireland a couple of days Later. I fitted the item a coupe of hours after getting it, this was a Friday, it failed to work. Not believing this I checked everything ou on the Fire and could find no problem. Back to the PCB board armed with a Multi Meter I checked the board and found that I could not get continuity/earth several places on the board. I emailed Yan informing him of this.

Over the weekend my brother in law a qualified electrician whit experience in Industrial machinery checked the board and were as he got better results re continuity/earth tests (he said I may not have been applying sufficient pressure with my tests) he was not happy with his results and confirmed that the board was not working correctly.

On the following Sunday I emailed Yan again with that information, expressing that the fact it was not working it did not in my view reflect in any way on the workmanship or my confidence in A&R Electronics.

I received what I regarded as an aggressive and defensive in tone reply, which stated that the board was working when he tested it following repairs and that they were not in the business of ripping off people (something I never suggested or alluded to) and that perhaps I repair the board my self or bring it to a local repair shop. I later received an e mail of apology for those comments and advised to return the item to them at my own expense.

I did not accept this offer of returning it to them as I pointed out that with Postage and VAT/ Custom charges that I had already payed out 100 EURO + and the fact that on further inspection I found that the main earth connection from the motorhome to the board and strands of wire which had come away/were broken.

My feeling being that Yan should have noticed this on examination of the Board on receipt of it and when he completed the work (I accept that he said that these disconnected/loose strands would not reduce the operation of the board)I would have expected him them to have noticed and reattached these strands when working on the item.

In my view this and the the fact that board does not work (no matter what Yan has said) I believe that on this occasion there was a lack of attention to detail in the process and as a result I no longer have confidence in Yan or the company to resolve.

A 12 month Guarantee is all very well when it does not cost the customer more expense, which in my case it would be considerable and no acceptance that they may have made an error.

They know what they are doing and tell…

They know what they are doing and tell you how it is. Parts they use have fair prices. There is no messing with this company. The repair is fully tested before being returned to you the next day! I sent a carver control unit in for repair under their £80 scheme but it was worn out including the gas valve. They e-mailed me promptly and offered me a refund or a complete rebuild and detailed costs for each part. Ended up costing £237. Some might say that's a lot but the unit I got back was virtually brand new and I consider it a bargain. I wish there were more firms like this one.
