When we first engaged with Ares…

When we first engaged with Ares Projects, we had already experienced several failed relationships with Amazon consultants, VAs, and agencies. We approached them with significant scepticism, as everything seemed too good to be true.
The initial investment was substantial - covering setup costs, creative assets, inventory, logistics, and advertising. However, we've now been selling together for almost 7 months, and we couldn't be more excited about what the second half of 2025 will bring.
Currently, we're in the planning phase for Q4 and conducting extensive A/B testing of our creatives and advertising campaigns.
What sets Ares Projects apart is their genuine commitment to our success. They didn't just take our money and disappear like previous agencies - they've been true partners throughout our journey and still are.
If you're looking for a legitimate company that can actually help grow your Amazon business, I would highly recommend Ares Projects. They've exceeded our expectations and delivered real results.

I got to know Ares Projects about a year ago in London. The first contact was already very positive. Great people who know what they are doing. What really stood out was not just the personal connection, but also the professional match. We were working on the same kind of challenges and speaking the same language from the start. That made the decision to work together an easy one.

Since then, the collaboration has been strong. It is a solid working relationship with a team that is highly skilled. They operate at a high level when it comes to automation and take optimization seriously.

In short, this is a team you want to work with.

The CPG category expertise at Ares Projects is unmatched. Their team’s knowledge of Amazon’s food safety regulations saved us from potential compliance issues that would have been disastrous. Our international expansion has been smooth and profitable under their guidance.

We started with 1 product to make sure we all knew what we were getting into.

We’ve just rehired them for 6 more products.

Really amazing job. We’ve waited almost 3 years going from several companies that promised the world and never delivered. We finally found a home and can’t wait to turn over more and more new products/inventions to the ARES team.

I'm a small private label brand

I'm a small private label brand, and I've been with these guys for a few years, I didn't start with much, but I was able to build something tangible with the help of Ares, it seems like everyone here has different expectations of what Ares can do, and you've got to be meticulous in how you approach Amazon, it won't make you a millionaire overnight but you can at least build something meaningful.

Ares Partner

Worked alongside Ares as a logistics partner for a while, they are always true to their word of linking us with customers who are in need of help on their supply chain - they are a company that always are looking to help their customer base first and foremost achieve the goals that they have set.

EASILY THE WORST COMPANY I’VE WORKED…

EASILY THE WORST COMPANY I’VE WORKED WITH in my 7 years as an independent contractor. No work/life balance, extreme workload, constant delays in salary, and obvious politics. I’m just glad I got out. I feel sorry for those still stuck and hoping to get paid. Chances are, they won’t. This agency is a complete scam and has no place in this industry. Business owners should be careful. They exploit people and should be shut down!!!!

Ares Project -Talented Team

My journey with Ares Projects began early in 2024 when I was introduced to them by Avask.

Their educational approach towards expansion from Canada to UK & the EU was detailed from day one.

After several calls about global expansion, we learned valuable insights and then spent months going back and forth with their partners to finally get the UK and EU markets up and running.

We officially started selling in July 2024 and were immediately impressed by our assigned brand manager and the entire support team. Their professionalism stands out, and they consistently provide strategic guidance on brand positioning and customer engagement tactics that actually work. Each country demands different strategies, but the Ares team leads the way.

Going into our partnership, we had specific revenue targets we wanted to hit by year-end 2024. The results exceeded our expectations completely. Our sales growth has been remarkable, and they've built our product listings with enhanced imagery and compelling copy that converts.
Their keyword optimization strategies have significantly improved our search rankings for high-converting terms. What really impressed me was their ability to maximize our advertising budget efficiency - our ACOS performance improved dramatically under their management.

We invested in their comprehensive full-service option, and it's been worth every penny. After nearly 10 months of collaboration, I'm confident this partnership will continue long-term.
Initially, I had reservations about handing over control of our Amazon operations to an outside agency, especially when it comes to scaling globally. Looking back at our growth trajectory, I genuinely regret not making this move earlier; the results speak for themselves.

I highly recommend working with these guys

Solid Amazon Management Support

We've been working with Ares Projects for about 4 months now. They helped clean up our listings and improved our keyword strategy. Not mind-blowing results, but a steady 12% improvement in sales which is exactly what we needed. Their team is responsive and the monthly reports make sense even to non-technical people. Good value for what we're paying.

High-Pressure Sales Tactics and Disappointing Experience with Ares Projects

We feel compelled to share our highly disappointing experience with Ares Projects, particularly to warn others about the high-pressure sales tactics, lack of transparency, and poor communication.

We engaged with Ares Projects in late June 2024, hoping to benefit from their expertise in scaling our business on Amazon. Unfortunately, the experience has been overwhelmingly negative.

Pressure to Sign Up and Lock-In via 0% Finance
From the outset, Ares Projects created an overwhelming sense of urgency to sign up. We were bombarded with numerous meetings and emails, pushing us to commit quickly. All of the directors were excessively pushy, including the Finance Director, who encouraged us to lock into a 0% finance facility. The pressure to sign up came from multiple directions, making it difficult to fully evaluate the offer and make an informed decision.

Ares Projects did not make it clear upfront that to achieve the sales figures they forecasted, we would need to run continuous promotions such as "buy two, get 10% off" and offer heavy discounts during peak periods like Black Friday. They also failed to highlight the significant costs required for advertising and participation in various Amazon programmes such as Vine. Their sales pitch bombarded us with optimistic figures and over-optimistic growth plans, making their strategy seem like a guaranteed success. However, in reality, our business made more revenue without their involvement than it did with them.

Ares Projects' handling of refunds and customer issues has been appalling. They initially promised us a refund in January, but when we followed up, our emails and calls were ignored multiple times. After persistent chasing, we were eventually given a timeframe of 15-20 working days for the refund to be processed.

Unsurprisingly, the refund wasn’t processed within that timeframe. We chased again—only to be ignored once more. Eventually, on Wednesday, 26th March, we were told the refund had been processed via Faster Payments, which should be instant. However, the refund did not arrive until 1st April, proving that their claims were false.

This pattern of ignoring concerns, making false assurances, and only acting when pressured demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism in handling refunds and customer issues.

Incorrect Forecasting
Before signing up, we provided Ares Projects with our actual cost of goods sold (COGS) and a list of our competitors. However, instead of using the accurate data we provided, they relied on alleged industry average COGS for our product. This led to forecasts based on incorrect data that didn’t reflect our actual costs, severely misrepresenting our product’s potential. While we acknowledge we should have questioned this, the pressure they applied made it difficult to scrutinise the numbers at the time.

Off-Brand Creatives
The initial creatives provided by Ares Projects were completely off-brand, missing the mark in terms of design, tone, and alignment with our brand identity. This forced us to waste time and resources making revisions to something that should have been right from the start.

Inventory Challenges – Sent Too Little Stock and Went Out of Stock
Ares Projects advised us to send only a small amount of stock, which resulted in our product going out of stock far too quickly. This severely disrupted sales momentum and negatively impacted our ranking on Amazon. If they had provided accurate guidance on stock levels, we could have avoided this costly mistake.

Unrealistic Pricing Strategy – Refused to Acknowledge Error
Once we realised that we wouldn't even break even with our current pricing, Ares Projects chose not to acknowledge their error. Instead, they turned the blame on us and insisted on selling our product for £20 more than what we sell it for on our own website, which was completely unrealistic. Rather than taking responsibility for the oversight in pricing, their solution was to push a pricing strategy that was not only unfeasible but also damaging to the product's market position.

Based on these issues, we decided to terminate the partnership with Ares Projects. While we agreed to continue covering the store setup fee, the overall experience has been detrimental to our business. The pressure to sign up, lack of transparency, delayed and minimal refund, poor forecasting, and ineffective strategies have left us deeply dissatisfied. Ares Projects do not tell you the full story upfront, and their high-pressure tactics and over-optimistic growth projections could cause serious setbacks for your business. If they would like to take responsibility we are open to discussions.

I am very surprised to see mixed reviews...

I am very surprised to see mixed reviews for Ares Projects.

The business is well-structured but agile enough to make amendments should you need them.

Communication typically happens within the hour, despite some of the team working overseas.

The onboarding call with the founders, Charlie and Lukasz, was motivating. I’ve had similar calls with agencies before, and while they were often inspiring, I remained guarded, not expecting a great deal of service.

Once I accepted the partnership and the doors to Ares Projects opened, I saw the true genius of their business. The teams behind the founders and the overall structure were really impressive.

Communication is handled through Slack. During my engagement, I worked with various teams, including the creative, strategy, and SEO/keyword teams. All of this brought my brand to life on Amazon.

I am not an Amazon expert and made this clear to them, but they explained everything in great detail, allowing me to feel comfortable with each next step.

The founders and their team didn’t promise me the world. In Q1, they promised that keyword and SEO testing would begin, and we would explore what works to create good conversion rates.

I’ve worked with agencies in the past that spent my money carelessly. Ares Projects, however, were extremely careful not to overspend, especially when they noticed conversions weren’t happening or when the bids were too high, affecting profit margins significantly.

In my experience, not many agencies operate this way, and would rather spend my money ‘quick’ to gain maximum data, while affecting my businesses cash flow. The fact is wasn’t done like this, shows experience.

Important things to remember before entering ANY partnership:
1. You need to be fully aware of your costs and you need a good product. Your margins must be good enough to justify outsourcing work for a percentage, or it may come back to bite you. You also need a good product or the Amazon customer reviews will bite you back too.
2. You need strong and quick communication skills. Yes, they will do the majority of the work, but your input and approval are still required. After all, we know our own products best.
3. Have a side pot of money you can use to take a risk. Every time a business needs to take a big leap into it’s next stage, there is an element of risk. Having a side pot already, will take away a lot of emotional and (sometimes) wrongful thinking.

I would recommend Ares Projects to others.
Thank you for your partnership.

Beware the pitch is not the reality. Highly recommend NOT working with them

Our experience with Ares Project was an illusion turned nightmare. Their pitch dazzled parts of my team and they truly believed we had a partner to guide us through our Amazon struggles. This quickly turned when the Ares Project recommendations weren't compatible with our business realities and there was a lack of effective communication and support in getting around the roadblocks we had hit. They didn't take the time to understand our business needs and they capitalized on their contact's minimal digital knowledge to drag things out because they weren't effectively explaining what they were suggesting which meant that we continued paying them despite the project being at a standstill. They even rolled our contract into an extra month without verifying with us that an extension was happening, even though they hadn't been doing work because of the standstill. By the time I joined the project, we had wasted dozens of hours and tens of thousands of dollars with no proper outcome.

From a people perspective: Charles and Lukaz were charismatic but after their initial sales pitch, we were passed to a team that was rude and condescending in communication. The team at Ares Project wouldn't even bother to remember the names of people they were working with and would call my staff by the wrong name when in communication with me. When I got involved and pointed out that what they recommended wasn't viable (and in fact went against the Amazon terms and conditions for the program they recommended) their response was a snarky "sorry you didn't do this right". My team and I have reached out to Ares Project numerous times asking for resolution and they simply ignore us now...except their CRM still has us in some sort of sequence because we continue to get prospecting emails from them.

From a tangible project perspective: They failed to follow brand standards and provided sloppy creative. They dragged their feet on revisions, often needing to be asked multiple times for the same fix. Their final creative deliverables were a month late. They published incorrect information to our brand store and then didn't actually properly publish the revisions even though they had communicated that they had. My most recent discovery is that they were running ads in our account against our credit card for a different client and given their radio silence for months, we will be forced to eat that cost so we can advertise our own products.

It was honestly a complete waste and I do not recommend working with this company who has low integrity and high ego.
