Not a scam but not a good idea
The reality of the company is they are not a scam. If they were a scam, you would have paid a bunch of money and never received acting classes, headshots, and an invitation to their showcases.
However, they are not a promising purchase. You take these acting classes, get headshots and then audition for some legit casting agents at these showcases. But the reality is THOUSANDS of people audition and FEW get parts. People think they were scammed when they audition and don’t get parts. That’s not Nextstar production scamming you. That’s just the tough competitiveness of the acting world.
Warning Danger Money Grab only
Saw their add, replied to it, wow they said I'm in the call back, hurray!! Received a zoom link and short script for 7 Eleven or Nike, I practice my lines and made time for the zoom call back, presented my script, and guess what, I was successful in a second callback, hip hurray, they must think I have talent, received the next email with all their hipe and link, made time and presented my lines, well, guess what ! They must really think i have a great understanding of the craft as they now are inviting me to,.....JOIN UP, in their pay as you go subscription service Level 1 $87 per month, Level 2 $125 per month and Level 3 $175 per month, but wait..there's more you can even be screwed out of $3,900 every 2 months for 6 months, that's, wait for it, $11,700 and you are GUARANTEED to star in Runway idol, look it up, quite likely the same people, either way, go or don't go with your EYES WIDE OPEN don't get taken by the dream, it's not worth it.
STAR Clever and HEARTLESS Thieves - Run away
They take your money, they dont arrange for any trainings. They start billing you monthly in advance but never give you any slots to train. FOR INTERVIEW IT LOOKS SO REAL. . They do NOT reply your emails. You get automatic replies that they have recived or just useless non action emails. Anyone reviewing and giving high starts is their crew member. My paid money has been stollen and not returned. How sad. Such Thieves. Guys, do not engage. Thank me later.
I am looking on ways to sue them. I have all the evidence. Very sad.
Manipulative and unethical. Get the ACCC involved!
Dear all, our autistic son has also been manipulated into "signing-up or losing your audition spot" by this unethical company (which took the first 2 of 4 "monthly" instalments as soon as he had registered). He has not attended any workshops and we've tried to get his money refunded but of course they have not responded to any emails.
We have submitted a complaint-report to the ACCC and encourage you to do the same; perhaps once multiple complaints have been received the ACCC will be empowered to investigate.
DISGUSTED!!!
DISGUSTED!!!
My daughter signed up and was forced to pay immediately and she immediately regretted it and felt scammed. She has tried to contact them for further details and start dates, and has been ghosted completely. They charged her $1470.77 USD for absolutely nothing!! They had her sign a bunch of contracts, and pressured into payment, but nothing since then. I am so disgusted they prey on young kids.

A big scan riding on teenagers dream to become famous. We essentially paid 1000$ for access to a platform where you get access to some lectures for one month. No networking, no call backs, no guidance. Save your money
Sorry to confirm that fishy…
Sorry to confirm that fishy smell,too....there is a minor detail about a fee of 900 USD to pay after round 2 ...this feels not right to me
This company feels really fishy
This company feels really fishy. Starting from the fact that it's so easy to get to the next stages even if there is huge number of participants. Then they what you to accept terms like: I confirm to not waste people's time" whne in reality they waste a lot of other people's time as this looks like a scam. After getting to next stages of auditions tou're getting informed that there is "mininal fee" involved and after "suceeding" in the audition, you are urged to pay immediately a way higher amount than informed before. I recommend not wasting you time for their fake auditions. I also checked my device if anything happened after seing these charges and noticing manipulative paterns scammers often use: they try to sound legit and after building someone's hope and trust, they force people to pay immediately.

IT'S A SCAM!
This company flies worldwide, promoting an opportunity for actors to meet with top acting agencies.
The problem is that those agencies all reside in the USA.
No agent will hire actors living in another state, much less another country.
You do NOT have to pay to meet an agent or to sign up with them. The only time an agent makes money from their actors is when the actor gets work.
True, if you pay up, Nextstar offers you acting workshops, which are always helpful. But you're better off paying hundreds to go to a drama school.
It’s a big SCAM
It’s a big SCAM! First they make you believe that you have been selected for callback (whereas basically everyone gets called back), then they make you think you’ve been selected in the top 10% so that you are happily willing to pay at the end of the second audition (pretty sure everyone falls into those fake "10%"). Finally they put pressure on you by "forcing" you to pay at the end of the second audition otherwise you will loose your spot, where you discover the REAL prices (which are 4 times higher than what you saw on the brochure after being selected for callback). Run away !!
Don’t be fooled
Don’t be fooled. This company appeared to be everything I was hoping for in the start of my acting journey. They had lots of amazing flare and said all the right things to get me excited to pay this HUGE amount of money. Unfortunately, I realised this after my second payment of $977 AUD (out of 4 total payments) lol - that all their “workshops” were just advice and not actually learning any acting skills which you’d think 4K would get you. I had to pay for my own headshots as well. You can also cancel your payments via pay pal otherwise they make it impossible to cancel. They are not a talent agency and don’t give you any auditions either. They just watch your show case after giving you no proper training with a bunch of people in a room and that’s it.
Wow what a whirlwind, Dreams can come True at any Age🤷🏻♀️
Wow, where do I start! My personal experience has been tremendous, fabulous, and nothing but the feeling of anything is possible. Other than that, no other words can describe it. It was my first time auditioning for any type of commercial, I just always wanted to try it and I turned 50 years old, this past July, and I figured why not in the second half of my life pursue a dream I’ve had for ever! Thank you so much for everything❤️💃
Above my expectation!!
Above my expectation!!! I had a lot of fun and the people that works at Next are the best people!!! 🤩
OMG I nearly paid them money
OMG I nearly paid them money - it showed that you paid in AUD !! Turning to be US dollars !!!! I believe this is SCAMMERS!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
It looks nice and promising, but its not what they say! Watch out pleas.
Last weekend i had an audition. The same dat at 21:00, they released the people who where chosen for the callback next day. I was one out of 190 that was chosen for the callback. During the callback i had to do same thing as the first audition, trough zoom. I did what they asked me to do and when i was finished he told me he had to discuss with his team about my audition. When he came back into the zoommeeting i was told that i made it trough the callback! I was super excited, but when i got the link for further instructions... I was filling in all the information they needed and when i got to the point of chosing a level i was shocked about the prices.. for 1 month i had to pay over 850euros.
I was lucky that my phone wasn't working because that made sure that i got the link for signing up in my mail. So i got to think about it. I started searching on the internet about there "buisniss" and found out that there were many many people that made reviews about how bad they are and how they make you pay a lot of money and promises but when it comes to the so called "trainings" you get nothing. I decided to make a disicion to not do it. I mailed them with the fact that i didnt want to do it anymore and that i thougt that prices are absurd for what i would get. I got a very quik respond, the mail said: "Thanks for you mail".
For me, the way they responded, gave me the idea that they are FAKE. Just MONEY TAKES.
Yes it all looks real and super nice and ecxting and they make you promises you dont want to miss or let go, i get that, i had the same feeling. But i also know now that not everything you see or get told is real. If you audition for something you shouldnt have to pay to get somewhere in this buisniss.
So if you think about doing an audition, remember that they just only want your money and not work with you cause you are good at something.
Super questionable company 💩
Super questionable company , I mean they have 79 people on zoom call , from all over world , and every one is getting g to the second round , where you getting a link with payments , link says it is only 400$ , but after when you speak with agent it is 1400$ , I mean the could do better job , at least not to charge so much money in the beginning , if you read this guys, make a monthly subscription at least , will be smarter 🤭
Avoid at all cost!
We paid 2000 USD for 8 training sessions, a photoshoot and a video-taped commercial. At the end, the opportunity to showcase with talent agencies in our country.
The 8 sessions were a waste of our time, practically nothing was learned at all, just repetitive advice from various people. The photoshoot was NOT professional grade (dirty camera sensor, no pro-lighting). Didn't get the video and the talent showcase was with their own team, no external agencies as such. Certainly no local ones (which were promised).
Everyone that applies gets a callback (more innocent customers to get more money from). Once you get past the local event, they'll invite you to Orlando for another event (where you have to pay again) to be showcased in front of other talent agencies.
The thing is you pay and there are no guarantees whatsoever. not a very professional or trustworthy organisation, it's all about getting you to pay, no refunds, no guarantees, no serious business-grade attitude anywhere.
My advice is to invest in formal acting lessons, go to a professional photographer, and contact agencies independently. Avoid these guys, who travel around the world at our expense.
