My husband had to get a taxi this morning journey approx 7 miles away. Driver arrived within 2 minutes. Fare was very reasonable. Definitely recommended

Kind taxi driver…
Would like to acknowledge the taxi driver who picked me up this evening. On way home told him my car wouldn't start. He drove me back to work to jump-start it. Unfortunately it wouldn't start, but how kind. Also wouldn't take extra money for his time. Think his name was Chatam. Thank you so much. Not many would have done that.
Absolutely APPALLING
Absolutely APPALLING, I will never use them again and will SLATE them all over social media. At around 4 p.m I pre booked a cab for 6.40 ,as I needed to be at a theatre for 7 p.m. They eventually arrived at 7.10, I had already ordered an uber. Luckily for Argyle poxy taxi's I didn't miss the play or I would have taken it further. DISGUSTING WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!!!!😠😠😠

Unbelievable and so bad it’s beyond any other words. I’m out the country and ordered a taxi for three days (Wed-Fri) to pick my son up at our house to take him to school - collection each day at 8 am. With 48 hours notice in advance given. The first day it was just under 15 minutes late, today same again the second day it’s failed to turn up. I’ve called to check where it’s up to with the operator who has cancelled the taxi. How appalling. Do not use this taxi firm they are utterly dreadful beyond words.
Dismally poor scam of a company
Dismally poor scam of a company. They take your money, don’t send a car and then charge you when you cancel. Let down on 3 occasions to airport and train station. For the airport run they took the money and then notification from driver no pick up for 40 minutes. When anyone at the ‘office’ answers a phone they are useless. So sick to death of being scammed that now taken this up with my bank, my MP and taxi licensing authorities. This is not a legit service

My son orders a taxi late last night…
My son orders a taxi late last night from West Kirby to Caldy after a long work shift. He waited in the rain for 40 minutes before cancelling and ordering an Uber which arrived on time and was charged £6 as opposed to Argylesatellite usual charge of c £9. Unsurprised by the overwhelmingly poor feedback for this taxi company which is owned by Cityfleet Networks Limited, where most of the directors are foreign with little regard for their customers. Use Uber as we will in future.
Bad mood at the office!
Hello.
Well, I wrote a 1 star review based on 2 call handlers being very rude, but today I had a lovely call handler, so I have changed my review to 3 stars. The taxi drivers are all nice. 10 minutes/ 15 minutes late sometimes, so book accordingly.
Not all Argyle taxis have card machines
Every time I've got an Argyle taxi over the last year or so every driver has had a card machine. When I asked the driver who picked me up tonight he was quite rude about how I should have had cash and went on to tell me I shouldn't be supporting a cashless society.
A £4.30 ride cost me £14 + through the App
A £4.40 journey cost me £14.30 because I used the App and changed my payment from cash to Google pay when I booked my return journey. I received a message to say my driver was outside but by the time I got out another message came to say the ride was cancelled and I had to rebook. Long story short my card was charged twice for the fare plus two small transactions for £ 1.40 and £5.30. When I finally got a response to my email I was told the charges were for waiting time and a cancellation charge in spite of the fact I categorically stated it was not me who had cancelled! Needless to say I can not be bothered to carry on the argument but I have deleted the app and will be using Uber in future!!
Very poor Service
Several times this in October and November a prebooked regular taxi has faled to turn up or been over an hour late. After this kept happening I have had to stop using this company.
I couldn't fault the service or the…
I couldn't fault the service or the communication from the driver the cars were clean and well looked after and the drivers were lovely and on time
Unbelievable and horrific
I’m disabled and have no family or carers. Rely entirely on taxis so don’t have a choice but to keep using alpha and argyle. Both absolutely awful.
If you are a fellow wheelchair user, expect drivers to make comments such as “can you get out quicker?”.
No care for the passengers, only the money they hand over.
Argyle Taxis you had to know I was…
Argyle Taxis you had to know I was coming for you. And I wouldn’t have I’d have just taken it to the police and got the coach driver pulled had it not been for the two men I spoke to yesterday.
Just after 3pm yesterday my sons taxi was involved in a minor accident with a coach, the driver decided to try and switch lanes to avoid being stuck behind a bus, this made impact with the taxi who was behind the coach. This forced them to hit the curb and blew the tyre. I could not be more grateful to the driver for thinking fast and getting them home safe.
The real issues started when I called Argyle Taxis the first person I spoke to was really lovely and receptive however she told me she wasn’t aware of it and suggested I call back to speak with an operator 20 minutes later…so I did.
It was not the operator it was a very rude man, I started by explaining to him that I had previously called and needed to speak to an operator his response was ‘for what’ so I started to explain he then shouted over to someone ‘you heard of an accident today’ the person responded no and that to this man was enough for him to try and get me off the phone. I said no I would like to speak to the operator please, he told me that this seemed like a police issue as the coach driver by the way did NOT STOP.
I tried to explain to this man that I needed as much information as I could gather so I could go about this in the appropriate way but I would need the exact location, the time and any other defining points such as the coach company or reg place, anything really I just wanted answers.
4 times in total I had to ask this man to pass me to an operator I told him he was persistently winding me up, at which point he accused me of calling him a whopper which I refuted.
He then passed me to the operator who’s name I believe is Guy, he defended the phone handler and claimed to not believe he had upset me I’d been crying a while at this point because emotions were already heightened and I just wanted answers. Guy I believe only got the driver to call me because he knew I’d started recording the call by that point.
What a disgusting service. There’s probably more I have to say but I’m leaving it here because my hands are tired.
Never use this company
Never use this company. Made a booking to take my daughter to school, didn’t turn up, phoned twice and they couldn’t give me a time. Ended up cancelling and using Uber and will never use these again
unreliable company
Absolutely awful unreliable company. Twice now in the past month my son has been very late to school. We had it booked the evening before and all I got when I called up was we're still trying to locate a driver. If I've booked the evening before I expect the taxi to be at my front door for the next morning on time. Ridiculous!
Diabolical
If I could give no stars I would. Will never use them again would rather walk.
I precooked a taxi for my early morning journey, for a coach trip, when it didn't arrive I gave it 10 minutes then rang them they apologised but all cabs where on the school run. Rang a couple times more without any luck. In the end had to get a friend to un me to the next pickup point where the coach firm kindly agreed to give me some extra time.
I have this firm…
I have been a customer wth this firm since its inception and previously with Wirral Satellite -a good 30 years -and as a non-driver, a frequent customer.
This last 2 weeks has convinced me that it is time to swap to Uber. Since the new system was put in place, I have struggled to get taxis. One day, having been told my taxi was 3 mins away, waiting outside for 40 minutes.
On 2 or 3 occasions, I have had a message to say taxi will be a couple of minutes, only for that to change to 'searching for driver'.
The price has been another issue. Last week, I did a journey which I do regularly for between £9.30 - £9.60 and was charged £11. I rang and complained and was told to expect a phone call - I never got one. A few days later, I was reimbursed for just 60p!
Today, my estimated journey cost was £9.10, intead, it cost £10.75. I paid in cash so won't be getting any refund.
I remember the last time you had a new system installed and there were similar issues, but nowhere near as bad as this. I remained loyal last time, but enough is enough. I am sick of hearing that you are having 'teething problems', those problems equate to me being late for work, late for a hair appointment (which had to be rearranged when I got there, as another customer was booked in) and today, late to pick my grandchildren up from after school club.
I have tried pre-booking, ordering for 'as soon as possible', using the app, phoning up, paying online or in cash. None of those options has worked for me.
It is a disgrace.
I have always avoided using Uber because they don't treat their staff well and I believe in customer loyalty, but I will be downloading their app tomorrow, as I cannot rely on Argyle, which is the most important thing for a taxi company.
Oh - and to add insult to injury, I tried to send this on your complaint form, but it wouldn't let me enter the date and, therefore, I vould not submit it.
Disgrace off a taxi company
Disgrace off a taxi company, used them for school runs for SEN children, never sent regular driver as promised or just didn’t turn up
NEVER AGAIN.
NEVER AGAIN.
After using them off and on for 25 years, I booked a taxi about 48 hours IN ADVANCE which did not arrive for us to meet a pre- payed train to London. Could not speak on the phone after several attempts and we were rescued by a kind neighbour after a stressful 40 minutes.
NEVER EVER AGAIN
