We can confirm that we received an instruction through one of our partners for a level two survey at 12:58 on the 23rd of May 2022. As it happened you were desperately in need of having this service provided and was advised that our term and conditions will be sent over to you later in the day.
Our surveyor received several calls from you on the 23rd of May 2022 at 15:17; 15:22; 16:40; 18:22; 18:28 chasing the terms and conditions. These calls were received whilst the surveyor was out on daily appointments and when this instruction came in.
You were advised that the term will be sent to you later in the day. During one of the calls, you made racial slurs towards the surveyor whilst engaging you in a professional manner. The surveyor does not need to apologise for who he is or be disrespected because of your perception or racial prejudice.
Our terms and conditions, and questionnaire was sent to you on the 23rd of May 2022 at 16:46. You kept on chasing the same thing that had been sent despite assurances that this had been done. At 18:41 you sent a disrespectful text to the surveyor and he replied that this was not necessary and that you both have spoken earlier in the day even though your comment during the conversation was not appropriate and racially derogatory. You later text the surveyor at 18:54 that you have seen the email that was sent to you at 16:46.
At 20:48 you left a 1-star review “Do not use, simple as that” which was totally unnecessary given your conduct. Despite your one-star review, you email us/surveyor at 07:16 on the 24th of May 2022 with the completed questionnaire asking for a service that you detest. This in our opinion, suggests that you wanted our services and would not be chasing a service that you despise if you did not think we were capable.
No organisation will tolerate such abuse towards any of their staff.
You called our partners on the 24th and you were not polite. At 09:01 on the 24th of May 2022, you telephoned the surveyor and your call was rejected as we did not want to proceed with your instruction any longer.
You were sent an email from our partners that we will no longer be conducting the survey scheduled for 24/05/2022 following our conversationon the 23rd of May 2022.
You were further advised of that a full refund has been issued and that we have a zero-tolerance policy toward racial comments.
In conclusion, your review does not reflect who you say we are and our decision to reject your instruction has not changed. We wish you the best in your property journey. Ark Surveyors

For me it was worth every penny.
Dan did a very comprehensive and thorough inspection, wrote a detailed report with many photographs to illustrate his points, and gave sound advice. I can recommend this to sellers who want to know what they might have to do to get a good price and potential buyers who need to know what they are letting themselves in for. If you think you know the flaws in your property, you might be surprised to learn a few more. I was. My tip, make everything as accessible as possible so the surveyor can inspect it. I stripped off wallpaper where I thought trouble might be lurking. I took up some carpets.

The survey was carried out promptly and the report sent within a few days after the survey.
The report was detailed including helpful photographs and a numbered system to help us know which points were the most urgent.
The surveyor also happily spoke to us by phone to answer our questions.

Dan did the survey for 2 properties for me, both surveys with very good experience.
Dan called me on the next day to give me some key points from the survey, and the survey reports were delivered to me within one week. That's amazing.

The only downside was that I would have preferred to meet in person to be able to ask questions in situ regarding the damp, and obtain a physical copy of the report, as I am disabled.

Dan was quite simply amazing and a pleasure to work with – I wish all advisers to a property transaction could be like Dan. He’s super responsive and will come back to you within a couple of hours. He knows his stuff, will take his time to explain more technical concepts, he’s punctual and does exactly what he says he would do. We have had an amazing experience
We have had an amazing experience. We were looking to survey a property for purchase and Dan was excellent. He called us straight after the survey to give us an overview of the findings. This was followed by a detailed report. He was very patient and answered all our questions once we read the report. Even days later when we had some additional questions, Dan was very accommodating and helped us. Overall an amazing service and would highly recommend!!
