Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 72 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the return policy, citing issues like high restocking fees and mandatory return shipping costs, which often made returns financially unfeasible. Reviewers also frequently reported poor customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to resolve issues. A common complaint centered on product sizing, with many finding items to be much smaller than expected or inconsistent, leading to frequent return attempts. However, some people were satisfied with the swimwear's high quality, praising its durability, flattering fit, and long-lasting colors. A few other people also felt that customer service was helpful and responsive, especially when assisting with order amendments.

Terrible sizing and won't post my review!

To start, I have tried to leave this review on the Ark website and it is never posted so putting it here. I am a size 2/4/Small and originally ordered a medium but it was SO tight I could barely get it over my shoulders! Then when I tried to exchange it, I was told by multiple shipping carriers that it would be $40-$100 to ship it back for an exchange and it would take 3-4 weeks. I did the exchange and got a large and its almost too big! Its ridiculous that someone my size needs to order a Large to be able to get it on and there needs to be consistency with this brand on its sizing particularly since they do no take returns and exchanges are expensive and take forever.

Love my two Ark swimsuits

Love my two Ark swimsuits. Are they minimal? YES, so expect little coverage. I did return a top and two bottoms for additional sizes. Customer service responded to my sizing questions within two days and I was able to make a decision on a different top. These tops will stretch 1-3 inches depending on which one you get. The website states that they will be tight and to get them wet and wear them and the suit will mould to your body. I hopped in the shower and wore my top for a few minutes, the next day it fit a lot better and had better coverage. They also have sizing support online to view different models that correspond to your size. So take your measurements and “try on” suits with that model size, it is a huge help. As with the review below, I am always a medium as well, but the sizing chart directed me to get a large.

Returns are a pain, but I understand and paid the shipping and had no issues.

The quality of the swimwear is outstanding and so soft. I’m looking forward to purchasing more over the years.

Never again

Teeny-tiny bathing suits made for teeny-tiny people. Do not buy with the hopes of seeing if they will fit, and definitely do not plan on returning them if they do not fit. Returning is a horrible experience. No refunds are possible. Exchanges only. But the company is in Australia, so prepare to spend $70+ just to ship back. I paid Ark $25 for a DHL shipping label on May 30, per their customer service’s suggestion, and still have not received the label (it is June 6), despite multiple follow-up inquiries I’ve made. So, adding insult to injury, they got my ridiculous amount of money for these un-returnable and unwearable suits AND an additional $25 for what feels like a scam. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied by my experience with this company. Never again.

Really Bad Customer Service, don’t bother

Really Bad Customer Service, can’t even call it that, it takes them 5 days to reply. Still waiting on a reply from another email about an exchange item that they received Thursday 30/5/24. I have also contacted them on Instagram with no reply. Heads up Ark, if you’re going to have an only online store, make sure you can reply to your customers in a satisfactory time, you can not be that swamped with emails that you take 5 days plus to reply or even be bothered to send a reply! I will wait until the end of this week to get my exchange item or I will need to go to department of fair trading and lodge a complaint and ask for refund.
As of 19/6/24 still no response from Ark still no exchange item and still no refund. I’m waiting for a PayPal case to be completed, they sent a response to PayPal with the tracking number from Aus Post which was the original tracking number from original shipment on 21/5/24. It’s like they are playing games. This company is a fraud! I have also contacted Dept of Fair Trading and have received a reply there they are looking into the matter and will reply shortly. I’m not sure how company’s like this still trade

Can’t even give a one star

Can’t even give a one star. I ordered my bikinis and paid for express delivery, online it stated it would take 2-3 days however on the DHL app it said it would take a week and a half. I emailed ARK twice about this issue but got no reply. Terrible customer service and do not care about their customers. No longer have the bikinis for summer and still have no reply from ARK and I have been waiting for 4 days for a reply.

My experience with this company has… DISAPOINTING/BAD

My experience with this company has been beyond disappointing. I initially ordered two pieces, meticulously following the size guide after measuring myself. Unfortunately, neither item fit properly. I exchanged them for another set, which arrived with bottoms that fit acceptably but a top that was unwearable. When I contacted customer service, they agreed to exchange the top once more, but I also expressed my frustration with their sizing and requested assistance, to no avail.

Although they accepted my return and issued a customer credit, their website's policy requiring a minimum purchase of two pieces prevents me from using that credit for just the top I need. Despite multiple emails seeking resolution, they have ignored my requests and left me unable to utilize the credit or obtain a suitable top. This lack of response is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

I will not be purchasing swimwear from this company again, and I cannot recommend them after this extremely disappointing experience.

I’m really sad to write this review…

I’m really sad to write this review about a small business, but I’m super disappointed about the quality of this bikini. I wore it for just a few minutes before the top popped open. The material was too slippery for the clasp and the clasp wasn’t sturdy enough. I haven’t been able to use it despite being really careful about choosing the right size. The customer service is unfortunately bad too! They deny the bikini is faulty and they’ve now stopped replying. They wanted to charge me $20 to process the refund. Months later and no refund received. Absolutely do not recommend. I’ve sought advice from the ombudsman and i believe they are in violation of Australian Consumer law. People can’t afford to lose $130 on a product they can’t use when cost of living is such a huge pressure.

Disappointing

Disappointing. The item I ordered came damaged and exposes my skin in an area that should not be exposed, and does not show as exposed on any of the models. I emailed with videos and pictures. They refused to send me a new item or refund my purchase. They advised that my only option was to send the item back at my own expense (shipping cost is more than the item itself). I am now out $130 as I have a swimsuit that cannot be worn.

A company that has zero values and…

A company that has zero values and morals.
Due to your lack of respect to your customers - I’ll not purchase anything from you ever nor recommend it to someone else.
We all see that.
Being a brand that makes money is not top priority, being human is.
Hope you earn your dignity soon enough.
