A dangerous installer disguised as a wallet

I downloaded and installed the Windows wallet application, then quickly removed it because it did not appear normally in Windows.

After checking my system logs, I found that the installer had silently installed “Remote Utilities – Host,” remote-control software unrelated to a crypto wallet. It also created a Microsoft Defender exclusion for my entire `C:\Users\` folder and hid the remote-control component from the normal Installed Apps list.

The wallet itself was removed, but the Remote Utilities component remained installed. I found no active remote-control process when I checked, but this behavior is completely unacceptable for a wallet installer.

Do not install this software. Only download wallets from well-established, independently verified official sources.
