Firstly, here is a copy of a complaint I made to this Company...
'We have been buying many Good Boy treats, toys and balls for our adorable Cockapoo (as they all are) Benji (who is now almost 2) and were extremely happy UNTIL we purchased a box of 8 x 100g packs of 05570 Chewy Chicken Dumbells best before 6/9/22 (I have 7 packs left) and a box of 3 x 320g packs of 05638 Chewy Twists with Duck best before 11/6/23 (I still have 3 packs left) and also a box of 3 x 320g packs of 05653 Chewy Chicken Variety Pack best before 7/1/23 (I have 2 packs left)....Why are we unhappy?.......
Well, we found ourselves distraught with worry one evening when Benji started choking in the midst of devouring his treat, but fortunately we managed to retrieve the foreign object from his mouth and discovered that it was RAWHIDE from your treat.....Now we had perhaps wrongly assumed, by your pack front that is emblazoned with the phrase 'WITH 100% NATURAL CHICKEN BREAST MEAT' or 'WITH 100% NATURAL DUCK BREAST MEAT' and also stating 'no artificial colours or flavours'..chicken and 'ideal treat for sensitive tummies'..duck, that the products were of high quality and fit to be eaten safely by dogs........It was only when we magnified the miniscule Ingredients listing on the back of the pack that we discovered RAWHIDE listed after the only 54% of chicken or duck breast.....I personally regard this as a practice which appears to be both sharp and even deceitful and we certainly do not feel inclined to purchase any more of your products.....I am sure that you have legally complied to all of your advertising claims, but what if our young dog had choked and died?'.....
I did receive a somewhat patronising reply from the Company stating that their product advertising complied with legalities, also stating that dogs should be supervised when eating treats (come on..A 2 year old with loads of experience!) and that if rawhide gets stuck in their throat then it should be removed......
All I wanted was for the Company to exchange the dangerous products for others that they supply without Rawhide content, but they didn't care and just blanked me also stating that I could contact Trading Standards since they already knew them well (I wonder why?)
Pity that this standard of customer care exists in what is meant to be a growth Company who are stocked in the major supermarkets......Just thought that you all ought to be aware
