Customer service started out good, fell flat in the end.
Submitted order on line, and then felt I ordered wrong item due to sidelights. Emailed to cancel and get right item ordered. Tech was very helpful. He got second item on the way, had some issues on paying additional cost. When I received the item it was not exactly what I wanted. I asked for brushed nickle and got white, minor. THEN I discovered that these are for doors that swing into the house, mine swings out. Checked the website it does not state that. Called tech said send it back. Tech said they where working on parts for my style door. I had to pay return shipping, he said I would receive a discount on next order. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Looks like it will work for what was intended.
Installation was not as easy as stated. I ordered two and both jambs had to be "shaved" with a wood plane before they would fit. I had the required dimension for the clearance, 1/8", but was not enough. Most people do not have a plane and would have to improvise with another tool. This should be stated prior to purchasing. The finish installation does look good, though, just took longer than anticipated.

Excellent
Just as advertised, the product is sturdy, easy to install, and has giving our family added security.

The Product Actually Works!
When we first started installing the pieces we didn't think the door would close once everything was installed. We thought we were going to have to send it all back; but I was determined to make it work, so we didn't stop the installation. We learned that you have to install everything before you can make a judgement of whether or not it will work, because once some of the other parts are installed they affect the way the first parts fit. By the way, the door may not shut if you don't made sure that every single screw is as tight as it can possibly be. I just want people to understand that it's just a little bit tricky; but if you follow the directions to a tee, finish installing every single piece, and make sure all the screws are as tight as they can be; everything will fit and the door will close perfectly.
Another thing, the edges of some doors are really square, and the piece that goes on the edge of the door is extremely squared; but the edges of our door are rounded. AFTER installing that piece, I took a rag, placed it over the left edge of the piece and beat it with a hammer. Then I did the same thing to the right edge of the piece. That rounded the edges of the piece out to fit the rounded edges of my door. The piece became shaped like the edge of the door, and fit a lot better. This wasn't in the directions, and wasn't necessary; but it made the piece fit and look a lot better.

Good idea, but...
While the patio door bolt lock appeared to be good, it didn't fit our door, as the door was an older model.

Interesting and effective product! VERY well made! Highly recommend!
Though the product hasn't been put to its limits on our home (something I'm grateful for considering that would mean an attempted break-in), I can tell that the Armor Concepts product has significantly strengthened our doors. The product is EXTREMELY well made and durable while still being visually appealing (I actually love the look it gives my door - very sturdy and secure). I will say that you need to be careful in measuring your door to make sure it's a good fit for you. I was unable to use some of the parts of the product due to lack of joint space on my door, but I'm still VERY happy with the product! They can't help the fact that my door fits a bit tight in it's frame.
These folks know their stuff!
I put a lot of research into home security products, over several months. Reading articles, talking to other home owners, police, correctional officers and the like. The products I bought by Armor Concepts seems to meet or exceed the recommendations I have received from security oriented people I have spoken to. After reading about the combination of products they offer and seeing the various videos on their website, I feel confident they will live up to my expectations and help me to protect my family.
Solid product
Its easy to install fit perfectly, didnt realize how little was holding the lock back . Feel alot more secure now, will be ordering again.
Excellent service and product
Without trying to kick down the door to prove its mettle, this product is excellent. The idea is really fantastic. The price is a bargain if it only stops a home invasion once! It's certainly a less expensive alternative to a metal door frame.
Customer service was fantastic! We've referred several people to Armor Concepts already!
Great products , very slow refund process
The products that I was able to use were great and I would recommend to a friend. Where they lost a start was with their returns. I had two products that I had to send back because they would not fit my glass door. The return process was terribly slow and ultimately they were unable to refund my money to my credit card and said they would mail me a check.
Great Product
Easy to install but would like to see modification to product to permit easy positioning or adjustment as replacement to the original strike plate. To ensure a tight door closer position I planed the front edge of the door jamb (45 angle) to permit better positioning of the metal jamb reinforcement piece.
From "Not So Good " to EXCELLENT !!
You may have seen my earlier review entitled Not so Good. If you didn't see it, the good folks at Armor concepts saw it and responded immediately....Not defensively or aggressively, but with positive concern, and with the idea of making my experience as good as could be under the circumstances. It is true the product didn't work for me, but I have a better understanding of "why" and I also learned they are working on a new design for mortised doors that hopefully will address the current problems. To their further credit, they issued me a refund check, which I received today. I couldn't ask for a better response and I appreciate a company that does business this way...you should too. Works well
Everything went smooth. The strike kits came promptly. I was a little worried about the space between the door and the hinges but it worked just fine. Since I worked on an old house it took more like two hours for each door instead of the half hour that was advertised. Seems like a very good design.

Try it, home invaders, I'm ready for you.
The installation for 7 windows was done in 4 hours. It is very attractive. I have a double front door and the night lock included with the other hardware is added protection.

First Class service: shipped on day of order and at my door in three days, great service AND great product.
The website was user friendly. Even though I did the entire order online; I received a follow-up call to confirm my order. The product arrived within three days and it was exactly what I needed. The person who helped with the installation, owns a construction company. He really liked the product and plans to install the same at his house.

Great product - some extra work on super tight or poorly installed doors.
This product is easy to install if your door is already properly installed. I have a steel door where the hinges where not properly mitered into the door. So they are not flush with the door edge, but stick out. The installer made up for this by placing the jam side hinges into the jam twice as deep. This precludes using the hinge shields with removing the door and reinstalling the hinges properly.
This also made for a very tight installation on the opposite side for the JAM armor. I had to use a block plane to shave the jam surface down to accommodate the thin metal armor.
Bottom line is this is a great product, but if you have a nice super tight fitting door (due to a prior high or low quality installation) it could mean some extra work installing the armor.

The best home security possible!
The best home security possible is "ARMOR CONCEPTS" Jam Armor. Nothing else even comes close. The product is easy to install, even for someone with no previous experience. Their products can even be used on internal doors and safe rooms, if needed.
If you use their products with double keyed Schlage Grade I deadbolts or equal products, then you have even greater security, against an attempted home invasion.
You can even add an additional level of security with a big dog like a German Shepherd, Rottweiller, Doberman Pinscher, or other similar protection dogs.

Its great!!!!
Very easy to install. It took me about 15mins to install one on the front door and the back door. Very solid and I do feel more secure now knowing that I have them there.

Solid
3 exterior doors and 2 doors from garage to house. All secure. Medeco locks, and laminated windows. For such little money. I could actually with no effort stop that bad guy from entering. Hinges locks frames I did the full monty. If they can't get in then you have already won!

It works! Everybody Should have Door armor
First of all, I don't know the owner of this company nor do I have any financial interest in this company. I ran across the product by mistake looking for a new door nob on the internet. I was initially skeptical having never heard of this product on the west coast. I've been a police officer for 28 years and unfortunately have taken many residential burglary reports over the years. Many of those have been door kick burgs. I recognize that no one is immune from crime including me. I was so impressed with it I put it on my house. It works! It was easy to install and reasonably priced. I wish that more people knew about this product. Great job Armor Concepts.
