Overcharged for a job that was not done at all
I contacted Rescue Rooter for one of my rental properties who had Airbnb guest that had clogged plumbing and my plumber was out of town. Because of the advertisements I see about Rescue Rooter I was confident calling because it was an emergency and it seemed like Rescue Rooter could repair/fix plumbing issues; but that is not what happened.
I needed a main line unclogged and LaDarius worked for about 45 minutes to unclog but was unable to do so. He advised that he had other calls he needed to handle and let me know that the company policy was the if it could not be fixed in 45 minutes to an hour they had to move on to the next call. He was very nice but I told him that I had a real problem with paying $350 for something that was not done and that I called my plumber and shared with LaDarius that my plumber said the other toilet needed to be removed to clear the clog since the clean outs could not be located but again due to LaDarius being called to other jobs he could not do that.
I understand having to pay for a call but this company requiring payment whether the job is successful or not is absurd. I am requesting a refund of $200 which would cover the 45 minutes of attempt but not reward your company for a job not completed.
I called another plumber who came the next morning and successfully unclogged the backed up plumbing by removing the second toilet just as my plumber had recommended. I didn't even have to request both toilets be removed; that plumber was aware thats what was necessary.
I called and requested a manager call me about a refund but was never called back. This is horrible business; you get paid whether or not you get the work done? I again am asking for a manager to call me to discuss a refund due to this job not being completed and me having to pay a second plumber who unclogged the drain the very next morning.
