Honestly one of then nicest companies I have dealt with. Really helpful with technical support, they may not always be on hand to answer queries straight away, but suppose its a sign of being really busy!
One of the worst companies I've ever purchased something off. What makes this worse is that it was a birthday present. So looking online it seemed like art2screenprint had the best deal for a hobby set which I jumped on and picked up an extra screen as it would be used for a 4 colour max print.
Ordering on the 30th of the month I was okay I'll give them 10 working days. Still no response saying my order had been received or acknowledge. Long story short and about 10 emails later with no response, paypal to the recuse and having to contact them through there directly I finally got a response saying it'll be dispatched in 2 days without a reason for the delay.
1 week later it arrived packed all nicely and I was very happy with the products until I noticed something was missing.
Same process as above however the online staff when available were helpful even though 30 minutes between responses. Having said it would be sent the next day with next day delivery... guess what.
ANOTHER week later and it finally arrived, I almost jumped with joy which I should have stopped myself before looking. Opening the overly sized box for a single small clamp. I noticed the clamp was missing something. ANOTHER INCOMPLETE PACKAGE. The clamp was missing the main part a screw to hold the piece together [in which holds the screen]
So here we are 1 month later and still not my complete order. With there paypal res-ponder saying:
'this is impossible as I actually sent your missing clamp out to you. How it left me complete and then arrived to you incomplete has baffled me!'
Well excuse me its incomplete I can see it right here in-front of me. Now i'm getting no responses online or via paypal so escalation is the only result. As I feel like I'm being kept out of the loop here.
Order from elsewhere, this company is not worth the headache and heartache.
I have been dealing with this company for a while now and i have to say they are so helpful if i have any problems they are just a phone call away i must be honest since i started screenprinting ive made a lot of mistakes but they help me all the time no question great company cheap products allways great service
DO NOT ORDER SOME PRODUCTS IN THIS STORE...... QUALITY IS REALLY BAD AND THEY DON4T REFUND YOU. GO AND LEAVE THIS SITE BY SIDE
I ordered some "waterproof self adhesive stencil cut paper" from this company. In use when the paper layer was wetted it rapidly lost strength and the stencil buckled as the paper swelled. I tried washing the stencil with water and it rapidly fell apart. After contacting Art2ScreenPrint they informed me it was my fault as I was using acrylic ink, rather than their own ink. After significant email correspondence they finally agreed to refund the unused sheets, as long as I paid the return postage. I sent the sheets off a month ago, and so far they have not acknowledged that they have received the sheets and no refund has appeared in my bank account. I realise now I should have looked for at the review sites before sending off my money. Hopefully others will benefit from my mistake.
Absolutely agree with the other bad reviews. Same story here..
Placed my very first order with them at the beginning of March. After not hearing anything after more than 2 weeks, I contacted them to check on the status of my order. Five days later, still no sign from anyone caring enough to send a reply or at least acknowledging that they are aware I am their customer. Contacted them again to ask if they'd received my previous email and whether they could let me know about my order. Day after that received a bill from them requesting to pay postage. I had apparently chosen the incorrect check-out option of free delivery which is only available for orders over £100. Despite my order being under £30, I could still complete the transaction and get payment confirmation by selecting the wrong option. This was an honest mistake, which I now paid for in time and effort chasing after them and also waiting around before I could proceed my day-to-day business.
I then requested a refund and let them know that I was very disappointed with the customer service. I explained that I failed to understand why it has taken them so long to discover this mistake and then not even speak directly to me but send a request for more money and thus time. In my email I was very clear how disappointed I was with their customer service and pointed out they didn't even communicate with me.
Instantly, they have cancelled the Paypal request for delivery. Up to this point, they have still not addressed me via email or acknowledged that I am actually a human being sitting behind a computer, trying to talk to them. It seems to me like the kind of business that takes advantages of online selling practice as a way to avoid customer contact and decency.
Overall, too unreliable and impersonal to be a good and long-term business partner. I share this also so others can make an informed decision and spend their money and time wisely.
I recently attended Art2Screen's screen printing school and I would like to write some comments about it for the benefit of others who are looking for lessons or screen printing equipment. I viewed a 6 colour, 6 station evolution floor standing carousel at their studio and met Jim who clearly has a wealth of knowledge and more experience than anyone else I have met in the industry so far. It was a fun three day course, very informative and hands-on and I was quite overwhelmed with the amount of information and advice given, and at no point was I pressurised to buy any of the equipment. Jim even told me to go and view other equipment to compare! I have done exactly that but believe that theirs is by far the best in terms of value and quality. Money well spent, on both the course and the equipment.
Some of the products sold by Art2Screenprint, such as their plastisol ink range, are actually quite good, and the prices are very good. Unfortunately this is spoiled by the utter contempt they seem to hold their customers in. Late order dispatches, poor packaging, missing items... It seems that they would screw up 2 orders for every 3 they got right. I myself have spent nearly £500 on aluminium screens from them and the quality is very questionable. The frames seem to be very inconsistently assembled resulting in major issues with press setup. The last batch I ordered arrived in completely incorrect specifications and all the frames were welded warped. I returned the screens at my own expense and was then treated to a month of stonewalling before I resorted to initiating a court claim to retrieve my money.
You need only read the abusive responses to negative feedback on their eBay shop to see how they regard customers that dare to speak out on their lousy business practices. Buyer beware. There are plenty of professional screen print suppliers in the UK. Yes, most will be more expensive. But ultimately the extra money buys you a level of professional service A2SP cannot match.
As an artist I am one of many who do operate on a very tight budget. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to invest in new equipment to develop creatively. To take my work to a new level I decided to invest in screen printing equipment. Looking online Art2screen seemed to offer a reasonably priced package so I placed my order. I received an email confirming my order and the money was taken from my account. I received no further communication or reply to my email enquiring what the status of my order was. I was concerned that money had been taken with no further word as my usual experience with reputable companies is that they let you know about shipping very quickly and are prompt about informing you about any stock delays. As there was no reply to my email I phoned and left a message. No phone call in reply. I called again and was eventually told that my order was about to be sent in a couple of days. No apology for lack of communication. However, I stuck with it as I didn’t want to go through the hassle of cancelling and re-ordering somewhere else. I received the equipment in two badly packaged boxes. There were no instructions on how to assemble the exposure unit so I had to trawl through the videos until I could piece together how to do it by how it looked on screen. The screws did not fit the base board, exceeding the depth by three mm at least. Again I thought it would be easier to buy new screws myself rather than deal with repackaging and returning the equipment. So I prepared two of the screens and burned the first with no problem. On the second exposure the glass in the lamp shattered. This spread shattered pieces of glass all over my darkroom and onto the screens. This was the final straw. I contacted Art2screen who said they would replace the lamp but I explained I no longer wanted the exposure unit as I felt that all the events that led up to the glass shattering represented an entirely unsatisfactory experience. They agreed to refund the whole but when I asked about arranging for the unit to be collected on their account they insisted I had to pay the cost of postage myself. I didn’t agree that this was right. I was told they would enquire further and get back to me by email that night. No email. I phoned the next day and left my number and was told Hazel would call me back in an hour. No call back. I phoned again and spoke to Hazel. After some argy- bargy she insisted that because I had used the equipment I had to pay for the postage. They would have replaced the lamp and paid the postage for that but did not accept that I had a right to be unhappy with the whole experience because if I hadn’t been satisfied with the unit I should never have used it. I do not believe that if I had phoned up about the screws and asked for them to take back the whole for that fault they would have agreed, however, I can’t go back in time to test that theory. So I will be significantly out of pocket for the postage and feel that I should share my experience of Art2screen with the wider community so they can make informed decisions about whether to spend their hard earned money here or elsewhere.
