A waste of time and money

I had injections starting on 1/13/26. I didn't find out until the date of treatment that they did not accept my Medicare Advantage insurance until that day so I had to pay cash $600 for the injections and $400 for the brace. Neither of which seemed to help in the end.

BAD BILLING PRACTICES AND IT DIDN'T WORK

Did not work for me and while I can accept that sometimes the treatment is just not effective, I CANNOT accept getting a bill 3 MONTHS after the procedure for over FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS due and payable immediately. I have already paid what they determined I owed and NONE of the payments were reflected on this "bill". When I called (had to call three times because their automated system kept hanging up on me) I was told that the remaining balance was actually "only" a little less than $2000.00.

DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE HIDDEN FEES AND HAVE TAKEN YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION BEFORE OPENING ANY MAIL FROM THEM.

Beware of Arthritis Knee Centers billing practice.

· I have filed a complaint with the FTC and if this has happened to you you should do the same. Beware of Arthritis Knee Centers billing practice. Your insurance may not cover what Arthritis Knee Pain centers tells you it will and you won’t find out for many weeks after you’ve been told by them you have paid your part of the bill.
· When I went to Arthritis Knee Centers to get the injections for my knee pain I was told by them that my insurance would cover the procedure and all I had to pay was a copay of $45 each time I received an injection. I asked if that was all I had to pay and they assured me they had checked with my insurance and that was all I had to pay if I signed their form. I found out later, which no one told me, if the insurance company later paid them less I could be billed for the difference.
· Months after I got the procedure I got a bill for $200. I called billing and got someone with an Indian accent who spoke so fast I couldn’t understand him. I did however tell him I paid my bills when I got treatment and was told then that’s all I had to pay. He said he’d have someone get back to me. A month went by and no one called so I called the office where i got treatment 3 times because each time I was put on hold forever, the first time cut off, then told someone from billing would call me, no one ever called!
· Finally I asked to speak to a manager. A Woman called back a day later and after I shared my experience with her she said she would look into my bill and would call me back to tell me it has been resolved.
· I never got that call and now this month, 7 months after my treatment I have received the bill again for $200.
· So I called billing again, got the same Indian whom I could not understand. Again he said he would have finance call me back but no one called. I again tried calling the louisville office and git recordings and then I’m left on hold forever.
· So I sent corporate my complaint and told them If someone doesn’t contact me in a week to tell me i owe nothing and will not be billed again i am going on every social media review site available to share this billing fiasco and lack of customer service experience.
· That got them to call me, a Martha called me back late on a Friday and left a voicemail which was not totally discernible, I assume because of a bad connection. So I called her back. Needless to say she insisted I was responsible to pay the bill and she had left voicemail messages in the past. She may have called me but I never received any voicemail messages from Arthritis Knee pain centers and given the number of times I requested them to call me you’d think they would have called me until they got me instead of claiming leaving a voicemail message and never following up solved my problem. Besides I was also told by the manager she would call me back and she never did. By the way she agreed with me understanding that their billing service being out of the country was a problem.
· Anyway I told Martha if she isn’t calling me to tell me I don’t have to pay this additional bill she can read my response to her on the web’s review sites.
