Article doesn’t stand behind its products
I ordered the Caliope Natural Dining Table for my patio last year. After 4 months in the Michigan summer/fall weather, and being stored indoors during the winter, the tabletop slats have warped terribly such that you can’t even have a plate on them without it wobbling. The finish has also worn off in places and looks awful. When I reached out to customer service with my concerns, they said this is normal wear and tear and that they can do nothing about it. That was NOT disclosed when I bought it. So I wasted over $800 on this table and only got one season out of it. Do not buy anything from Article. They do not stand behind their products and don’t care about their customers.

Since our Calliope Dining Table is made from acacia wood, it’s expected to see the wood weather to a soft gray over time. This is part of the natural progression or patina of the wood, especially when it’s not treated with harsh chemicals, and should even as the silvering progresses. To prolong the life of your piece, we always recommend covering when not in use, and avoid standing water on the surface and if possible, storing indoors. This is especially important when living in rainy and cold climates. You can also find the care instructions on both the item’s product page as well as the care card that comes with the item. It’s also important to note the rate of the silvering process is dependent on how the product is cared for. If left uncovered when not in use, the silvering can occur at a quicker speed as well as other issues such as the wood warping.
