I wanted to like Artlist.io but is a NO

I wanted to like Artlist.io, but after trying to integrate it into my workflow, I cannot recommend it in its current state.

The main issues I have encountered are:

Unreliable Performance: The web interface is frequently sluggish and unresponsive. Most critically, I have been unable to load the site at all since Friday. A service that is inaccessible for days at a time is simply not viable for professional work.

Pricing Structure: The credit system feels overpriced for what is actually delivered. Between the cost and the downtime, the return on investment is extremely poor.

Workflow Interruption: When you are trying to generate assets or manage a project, having the platform go down is a massive bottleneck that halts production entirely.

I have spent time looking for alternatives and have since moved my workflow over to Highsfield. The experience there has been significantly better, more stable, and feels much more professional.

Very shady site

There is no information on how much credits do models require per video. After buying the starter packet for 20 euro (16 500 credits) to test the software I was unpleasantly surprised it costs 8000 credits for a 8sec Seedance 2.0 video. So basically, you are paying 20 euro for 2 seedance videos.

Don't use Artlist…

I am VERY disappointed in the Artlist App. It does not work very well and you burn through a lot of your credits just trying to get it to do what you ask of it. Producing an image gets very expensive when you have to try repeatedly to get it to do something correctly. When something goes wrong customer service just says that it is a known issue with the app, but they can't do anything about it and will not refund the credits. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do not pay for this app. Sometimes it just ignores your prompts completely. In one instance, it repeatedly failed to use an image I uploaded. Customer service again said it was a known issue. Today, I tried to make a closing video with font it it. Despite the prompt having everything spelled correctly, it misspelled three out of the five words in the font. Again, it is a "known issue," but they will not refund the credits.

You pay a lot for nothing

You pay a lot for nothing! Each time you make a video, you will pay in credits, which you already have payed for. A monthly pay of 24,99 EU, i generated 3 videos and was ask to pay more to get more credits - and it isn´t even generated the way you ask for.

I subscribed to the service using the wrong email address, using different accounts to subscribe repeatedly. After discovering the duplicate payment, they quickly canceled the incorrect email address for me. I was very satisfied with the processing speed.

Throwing Money Away!

No such thing as a free account. I put in $20 to try it out. The plan said I would get 103 videos. 10 seconds later my $20 was gone and it was asking for more money. Hard to believe this is not a scam. Save your money and look elsewhere. Poor customer service as well.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. Artlist presents itself as simple and creator-friendly, but the reality was much more frustrating once I subscribed. The pricing was misleading, and the service ended up being more expensive than it initially appeared. What seemed straightforward at first became confusing once I realized the actual cost.

The overall experience left me feeling misled and frustrated. For a company that markets itself so heavily to creators, there should be much more clarity about pricing and what you are actually paying for from the beginning.

I regret subscribing and would not recommend it. Creators deserve clearer pricing, better transparency, and more honest communication before being charged.

A platform with great potential — and a support team that ultimately came through
I have been a content creator and digital education instructor in South Korea for several years, and I recently subscribed to Artlist's AI Suite plan with high expectations.
My initial experience was frustrating. The advertised credit quantities felt significantly overstated compared to what I could actually generate under normal usage conditions, and the Korean language support within the AI tools was noticeably limited — making it difficult to work efficiently as a Korean-speaking user.
I raised these concerns with the support team and went back and forth for some time. I won't pretend it was a smooth process. However, what I will say is that the team — particularly Elsa from Customer Success — ultimately listened, responded with genuine care, and worked with me to find a resolution. The upgrade to Max Pro was handled professionally, and I felt heard by the end of the process.
Artlist's core content library — the music, SFX, footage, and creative assets — remains one of the strongest in the industry, and I am now actively using it for microlearning video content I produce for educators.
My honest feedback for Artlist: the AI tools have real room for improvement, especially for non-English speaking markets like South Korea. But the foundation is strong, and the customer support, when escalated, showed real professionalism.
I look forward to seeing Artlist grow in the Korean market. There is a passionate creator community here that is ready to embrace the right platform.

I accidentally was directed to artlist

I accidentally was directed to artlist. I googled genesis and artlist was sponsored at the top of google with genesis in the description. Im new to it so I thought artlist was operated by genesis. its states 2 free videos. I did that but it asked for credit card info if I continue with the subscription. I tried it, wasnt impressed and canceled it (which was NOT user friendly). it took me 10 min to figure that out. I asked for a refund and of course a stupid generic automated response came back. no refund. no real human interaction. awful. customer service sucks!!!

Untransparent pricing

Untransparent pricing, bad customer service. Hallucinations, different models. Takes a huge learning curve. I couldn't get my project done, not even close to it even though I paid 20 Euros to generate just one video. I asked them to give me a few more credits or to pay 5 Euros for extra. All they do is send articles. All in all: Doesn't help to do what it's supposed to, super expensive, horrible customer service. Typical example of an AI trash company.
