Predatory...if you cancel they threaten you with copyright claims. Not worth the high prices that they charge

I had recently upgraded my account for more usage credits without fully understanding how the fee increase would impact me on an annual basis. The cost increase was substantial so I contacted ArtList about the issue and asked if they could put me back to my original plan.

They contacted me immediately to let me know they heard my concerns and quickly dropped me back down to my original plan. There were no questions or hesitation on their part.

I've had to contact ArtList in the past for support and they have always been extremely timely in responding and properly addressing the issue.

There are other providers out there that one can go to but honestly I could never recommend any other service. ArtList's pricing is fair, their licensing is I think the best out there and their customer service is the best I've witnessed in a service provider.

This stuff is progressing fast, especially on the AI front, so it's nice to know you never have to worry about ArtList's Customer Service. They always have your back.

I am writing this to strongly warn other creators about Artlist's new AI Voiceover tool. I signed up for an annual subscription costing 144 €, expecting a professional and fair service. The reality, however, is shocking.

After converting just one single text of approximately 3,000 characters (about 3–4 minutes of audio), my entire monthly credit limit was exhausted. This is absolutely unacceptable. You are essentially paying a huge upfront fee for almost zero service in return.

The lack of transparency is highly unprofessional:

There is no clearly visible pricing structure per character or minute before you buy.

You fall into a pre-set cost trap because the massive credit consumption is not communicated upfront.

Compared to specialized competitors like ElevenLabs, the price-performance ratio here is an absolute insult to any professional creator.

This model is completely useless for anyone who needs regular voiceovers and feels like deliberate deception. I am demanding a full refund as this product does not meet the expectations of its price tag in any way.

Stay away until Artlist provides fair transparency and reasonable credit limits!

I’ve been an Artlist subscriber for several years, paying around $500 a year, and the platform has gone downhill fast. The new credit system for AI video generation is honestly shocking. What used to cost around 500 credits per video now suddenly costs 3,500 credits for a 5‑second clip — and most of the outputs aren’t even usable.

What makes it worse is the complete lack of consumer respect. If the video comes out wrong, distorted, or unusable (which happens often), your credits are gone. No redo. No refund. No quality guarantee. Nothing. It feels like the system is designed to drain credits rather than deliver value.

I used to recommend Artlist to other creators, but the recent changes feel greedy and out of touch with the people who actually rely on this platform. After years of loyalty, I’m seriously considering canceling my subscription. Artlist needs to rethink this model if they want to keep long‑term customers.

Besides just being a great resource for assets, Artlist has killer service. I realized months later I was paying for two accounts and reached out to them, they responded quickly and refunded the extra account expense even though I was past the refund date.

It was my fault and my mistake that I subscribed to the wrong plan. The site responded very adequately and even though my plan had started, they changed it.... Their reaction was lightning fast.

I’d recommend choosing a different platform.

The AI generator is largely unusable. It often produces content that doesn’t match what you asked for, wasting your credits instead of helping you create anything useful.

The stock catalog is the only part with real value, but even that comes with high ongoing annual costs. On top of that, credits you pay for expire each month, which feels like a poor and questionable billing practice.

The platform is also frequently slow and clunky, making the experience even more frustrating.

What’s most concerning is the advertising. They continue to promote tools like SORA2, even though it has been officially canceled by OpenAI, which raises serious concerns about transparency.

Overall, between weak AI performance, questionable billing ethics, and misleading advertising, it’s not worth it.

Better chose another platform. I made the mistake to get the Pro subscription. The AI generator is as uselsess as it gets, it brings you content that you didnt even ask for and you just waste your credits. If you decide to use the Stock Catalog (the only thing usefull on Artlist) to create content, you have to pay a hefty amount annually afterwards too. You can call it a lifetime subscription if you like. The platform is super slow most of the time too. Also even tought you pay extra for credits, they disapper each month. Think twice before you subscribe.

the images generated are so basic and generic. cancelling the subscription is not straightforward and I had to ask Claude to find the hidden place to cancel it.

Upon trying the product it uses too much tokens to generate anything locking you into constantly paying for more. Once it has been used at all you cannot refund even within the first 24 hours due to their terms and conditions. Once tokens used or downloading anything generated (even prior to paying) you lose any right to cancel.
This company does not care for their consumers, please avoid this.

I would strongly advise against using this platform. It claims to have low credit consumption, but in reality, the cost increases exponentially. It’s extremely expensive, and the quality of the services provided is far inferior to its competitors. The interface is poorly designed and impractical, making it difficult to navigate. Overall, it's an extremely disappointing experience. The exorbitant costs are not justified by the poor service, and there is no trial option to test the platform before committing. Avoid at all costs!

I subscribed expecting practical AI video generation access, but after only very limited use I was required to buy more credits almost immediately. The service was not as usable as I reasonably understood at purchase. Support canceled renewal but refused a refund. Disappointing and misleading experience

I unfortunately used the product thinkign its from Kling but I was not able to generate the prompt.. It didnt count the character correctly and later on failed to generate the generate the video. I am now looking for the refund but the product wont refund. I need my money back!

Responded within 8-12 hours after I had emailed them regarding a mistake I had made with purchasing the wrong plan. The customer service team provided an immediate solution while being empathetic along the way.
It's not often you get this level of customer service. Bravo!

Been using Artlist for almost 10 years, and it’s been great. User friendly interfaces, various categories of music to choose from. It’s constantly evolving along with tech trends, always upgrading from the users’ perspective, and we also learnt a lot from it. A very helpful hand indeed!

Such a poor platform! First of all, the platform doesn’t follow instructions and you end up wasting all your credits for literally nothing! Second, the payment team doesn’t respond to requests. And third, they are breaching the EU consumer protection law for the 14 days cancellation policy! Don’t waste your time and money! I would say one word - SCAMMERS!!!

I accidentally paid for a year's subscription.
The money was refunded to me without any problems.
