Disappointing

I feel really disappointed in my experience. I had a good and clear conversation with the customer services about my carpet cleaning requirements. I was assured the cleaner would try their best to clean under beds and easily accessible furniture. This was very clear in the conversation and the subsequent quote was based on this conversation and room measurements that were taken 3 years ago. I spent the day moving all my furniture and heavy items to a non carpeted areas and even moved beds away from walls. I explained to the carpet cleaner to please clean under the beds. The beds in question are easily accessible with at least a 35/40 cm gap and even I can get a hoover under them and easily move them on my own and I am not a cleaning specialist!! I gave clear directions and even prompted him to move some light items as he had not taken that initiative. When he left I was under the impression he had cleaned under the two beds only to discover they were still incredibly dusty. When I reached out to art of clean about this hoping for a resolution I was told that the cleaner went by my directions (???) and that I had requested only for the standard clean and that according to their records from 2023 I was quoted for the trafficked areas only anyway so didn’t pay for the non cleaned area?? I was told that he could not clean under large heavy items of furniture. Going under a bed that has a large gap between the bed and floor is apparently not in the quote ?!? I wish they would have said this to me from the beginning instead of giving me misleading information over the phone claiming I was being quoted for the service where they do move and go under furniture within reason. Then blaming me for not giving the right directions to the cleaner and saying I only asked for their standard service. It’s simply not true. Very disappointed in their customer service and lack of thoroughness.

Excellent advice and honest opinion

Sadly the two (very) large stains in my wool carpet were past repair. Robbie discussed this and gave me an honest opinion as to whether a clean would be successful. I decided not to proceed as there would be less than a 20% chance of getting the stains out. I truly appreciated the honesty and advice and cannot recommend him and Art of Clean enough. Thank you!

Art of clean were AMAZING

Art of clean were AMAZING. Our little girl's bedroom had a nasty patch on her carpet that we had inexpertly tried to clean.. essentially we had made it horrible and then mould or bacteria were coming through. We were desperate to get it clean and safe again. Art of clean didn't have any appointments but STILL came out the very next day anyway and did a really amazing deep clean of the carpet because it was in our little girl's room.

THEN they didn't let us pay! Which was unexpected and also wonderful. In truth they would have been worth every penny, because they gave us a safe room back. Thanks again!

Floors worse that before we had the work done

We decided to get our wooden floors resealed as they had become scratched from daily use and we have a dog. During the consultation, the sales agent assured us that the sealant would offer strong protection against wear and tear, including from pets.

Unfortunately, the results have been disappointing. Soon after the work was completed, water damage marks began appearing — caused by routine cleaning, a damp mop left out for a few hours, and wet shoes (photos below). Art of Clean did return to inspect the damage and even brought a Bona representative. However, the inspection involved simply dripping water onto the floor and observing it for a few minutes. We were ultimately told that the company isn’t liable, as the damage occurred after the job was completed.

Their only gesture was to offer an updated aftercare brochure — which did not outline clear guidance around aftercare of the floor. At this point, it’s not particularly helpful.

Beyond the water damage, the floor does not seem any more protected than before. In fact, it is now more scratched than it was prior to the treatment. We feel misled by the sales agent, and wish they had been more transparent about the product’s limitations — particularly in a home with a dog.

We regret having the floor resealed and would not recommend this service.

Dear Hollie and Derek,

Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We're naturally saddened that you remain dissatisfied, but we fully respect your right to express your views.

As before, and in line with our values, we won’t be discussing the details of this matter publicly — not here, or anywhere else. That includes the full timeline of communication, the independent assessment offered, or the resolutions we put forward in good faith.

For clarity, we provided more support than we were contractually or legally obliged to. We facilitated a site visit, brought in a manufacturer specialist, reviewed your concerns carefully, and even offered to accept the findings of a qualified independent flooring inspector—a step not taken up.

It’s disappointing to now see this matter repeated across multiple platforms. Some may see that approach differently, but we remain focused on professionalism, not point-scoring.

We continue to stand by our work and our conduct throughout. And despite the outcome, we wish you all the best moving forward.
