Waited 3 months for the delivery of our furniture. The motors that control the positioning do not work of both of the pieces of furniture. Now waiting for someone from the store to come and address the issues. Service company came repaired the sofa 3 days ago and the sofa is not working again. Service person needed to order a new motor for the loveseat just received. Now there is another 3 month wait for the replacement of the new back that is not working.

I bought a $2300 mattress that did not hold up to its name. I complained for 9 of the 10 years (warranty), while they sent out guys five different times with a ghetto wood block traced with magic marker to measure the depth of the huge sink hole. Finally they approved another mattress. I picked out a different brand that I like, very comfortable in the store. I swear they delivered the cheaper one of this brand because it is very hard, hurting my back. I called right away and the salesman called off the serial number to confirm but I told him it's not like the one in the store. Told me to "break it in." Its been 6 months and its HORRIBLE. I just bought a gel topper. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A MATTRESS FROM ART VAN AGAIN. They do not stand behind the products, saying they have to hear back from the mattress company for approval. They do not have good venders with good mattresses but their annoyingly loud commercials pushes them HARD. You'll do better going to ABC Warhouse for a mattress.

Dont shop here ever. I bought two sofas back in 2017 and they are both literally falling apart. They belong in the garbage. Bigger problem is that I have a 8 month old daughter that loves to put things in her mouth. She cant go anywhere near the sofas because of the cushion strings that are everywhere. Truth is that I have three dogs that caused this problem but there is also a section of the sofa that is exposing the metal and it is extremely sharp. I called art van this morning and they said that they can do nothing at all to help me out. Not a damn thing. What does that say about your company, especially from the owner that quotes something like, "we make a lot of money and like to pour that back into the community?"really? Shame on you guys. You guys could've offered something, anything to keep me as a customer but you rather see me go. Fine, I'll leave. Please ppl boycott them. Go to garner white, anywhere but here. Shame on you art van!

I needed a repairman to fix recliner - I spoke with Nicky Salame, who I asked to give me a better time for repairman to arrive- she was very polite and got the repairman to my house 5 days earlier-

Art Van Customer Service is awful
Product that I bought from Art Van was good. Problem was with the delivery. Whomever they use was very rude. Also they delivered a broken couch and tried to tell me they would fix it. Did not get a call from anyone in customer service. Then I was told it would take 6-8 weeks to fix the couch which is supposed to be brand new. When I called customer service they were very rude and told me this one time they would replace the couch. I told them I will never accept a delivery from you ever again unless the product is perfect. They can take it back to their warehouse. Finally I ordered a special order couch. I was told 6 to 8 weeks. Once again I called cause it had been 8 weeks and they told me it would be another 6 weeks. Oh and the bills for furniture arrive just fine so keep paying those. I would say everything that Art Van goes up front from their advertising to their stores is really nice. After that on the back end they are terrible to deal with.
Really Disappointed
Purchased sectional pieces from Art Van and had to wait almost eight weeks to get it because they didn’t have the color I wanted in stock. When I finally got it delivered it didn’t come in the color I wanted, was a totally different shade and then they delivered 2 different colors. And on top of that the cushions have an itchy fiber without any cotton batting on top. So uncomfortable. Really disappointed. On the other my saleswoman really tried to accommodate me and was very helpful. Too bad she works for Art Van. Never getting anything from them again. Really shoddy quality

I purchased a mattress while my spouse was out of town working for 3 months and once my spouse was home, the mattress started to breakdown very rapidly. After several calls to customer service without any sort of resolution, the store manager where I made the purchase was able to work out a "deal" for replacement. The deal was that I would need to pay an "up charge" of 475.00 for a replacement mattress since my actual mattress was no longer in production and that my spouse and I would need to come in and re-do the sleep position diagnostics study. We agreed, once again the mattress is breaking down rapidly and have had a warranty person come to our home twice. We have only had the replacement mattress for 2 years! The mattresses are guaranteed for 20. I am being told that we are sol until we reach a breakdown point of 1.5 inches. We paid a total of $3000.00 for a mattress that I would rather sleep on the floor than sleep on. Finally after two mattress now my spouse and I have found the root cause to be the sleep position study performed at the store. I even tried to explain that the problem lies with how the sleep position study is conducted..... They have you lie separate and follow the voice prompts, which allows for a computer to read your weight, and pressure points. At no time do they ask you, "HOW DO YOU REALLY SLEEP IN YOUR BED"? If they did they would know that while my spouse and I are small framed people 130 lbs or less under 5'5 for both of us that we sleep very close to one another in the center of the bed, resulting in a larger body weight applying directly to where the two types of firmness levels meet. Thus this is where the breakdown is coming from so rapidly. If we in fact slept on each edge of the bed, and no in the center, I am sure there would be no issues. However this is just not the case. In addition to all of the hassle of purchasing a poor quality mattress, trying to schedule an appointment with the service company is a nightmare as well. Availability of appointments are not convenient, and the last technician that came to my home last week, actually got his blood on my mattress. When I asked him if he cut himself on my mattress, his reply was simply not I cut myself yesterday while I was working on a chair. Why am I bleeding? He did not offer to clean it or anything, just said sorry if it makes you feel better I am CLEAN. While that is great for him, I was still left with cleaning up someone else blood. I personally would just be happy to get my money back and buy a cheap mattress from somewhere else. So my spouse and I can finally rest peacefully

I have not yet received my love seat and chair, so I am not commenting on my satisfaction with the actual quality of the furniture I purchased (that will follow in about a month). However, I can say at this point that the service after the sale (about 2 weeks out) SUCKS!!
It would be to lengthy to detail completely here, but I will say that efforts to coordinate a timely delivery has been very frustrating. I dealt with 3 different people trying to coordinate receiving my purchase. My purchase is for a business office about 3 miles from the store location - I purchased something that was readily available because I needed these items within a 2-week window...
I understand there are limits to how much the store can accommodate the customer for delivery - but this is a service that one pays for so some accommodation to the customer seems reasonable - also I felt like the 3 staff I dealt with didn't understand there own policy/procedure regarding service after the sale - so I was confused and didn't know what to expect - I am picking up the furniture myself today, I hope it will be there, because it wasn't there yesterday. We'll see . . .
... my furniture was on the delivery truck when I showed up for the second time with someone else's van and a person to assist me!!! It was on it's way to the wrong address as well!!! This appears to me more of the same, left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing - A manager did get involved at this point. Many apologies, (mostly deferred to the lack of skill of the younger generation employed to do this work). So, no furniture, I will be contacted at some point later today when the delivery truck returns and they will meet me at my office , no charge to me (LOL) . . . What can I say, I live 20 miles from my office (23 from Art Van) - Had plans to set my office up today to have it ready for the work week - I have called at least 5 times and showed up two times trying to work this situation out with Art Van. My time as well as the time of the person helping me has been wasted - Setting up my office will eat into my day tomorrow . . .
Poor over-site on managements part, will avoid ever going into the Mt.Pleasant MI Art Van location. We don't have many options for furniture - But for all the wasted time I see now that going on-line or to Grand Rapids or Lansing is the better option.
Paid $79 for delivery
Paid $79 for delivery. When they arrived they discovered they had the wrong "hardware" whatever that means. I was told someone would call to reschedule. Nobody called, and the next morning I get a call saying that they would be there in 20 mins. to deliver. I was at work and nobody else was home to accept it because I didn't know they were going be there that day. Anyway after I called delivery they said they could come back by at 3 pm, which they did. However they told me they had a table for my dining set. No chairs. Amazing how incompetent these people are. I did not accept the table and called the salesperson as soon as they left. Mariam said she talked to her delivery person and that they will try to set up delivery at 4 pm the next day. She did say she couldn't guarantee it and that was fine. However the next day I get another call from delivery at 10:30 am while i was at work. Again I had no clue they were going to be there that early otherwise this time I would've arrange for someone to be there this time. So now it's the 28th and I still don't have my dining set. Nobody else seem to know the situation and Mariam is off until the 29th from what I've been told. Bottom line, it's Gardner White next time.

Art Van sucks. Beware if you buy anything and need to return it. EVERYTHING, no matter how small has a 15% restocking fee once it leaves the store which is B. S. Avoid. Much better aces to shop with more competent sales people.

I have never been so upset we gave you a 3 hour window to deliver our furniture and it's 4 hours all ready. I would have been better off getting a U haul. It would have been cheaper and faster. And you are charging for this lousy service. And Im still waiting. Never again.
Poor Service
I went into the Art Van store in Woodridge and purchased a bedroom set in April 2019. The staff at the store was extremely friendly and helpful. My furniture was delivered on April 26th. I had purchased a bedroom set, that had drawers under the bed. When the guys were setting up the bed it was noticed that one of the drawer handles were bent. He called immediately and a new handle was ordered. It is now June and still no replacement handle. I have now called 3 different times to find out where the handle is, as I cant open the drawer under the bed with no handle. First time I called I wad told that the part came in an I would be getting a tracking number soon. Nope never received the tracking number. That was 4 weeks ago. I again called May 24th and the girl on the phone was helpful. She emailed the manager of the department in which handles these issues and I was told I would get a call back. No call back! I called again 2 days ago and was told the part was in grand Rapids and the woman stated she left a message for the manager in grand rapids and I would get a call back the next day from someone.. surprise surprise NO call back. It is a fricking handle that could be easily sent directly to me, its not a whole huge piece of furniture. Absolutely poor service from the department that handles missing, defective parts. Store personnel were awesome... the rest of the experience Not so much. A call back would be appreciated. I will think twice about recommending this company based on the poor follow up!
Terrible company with terrible customer service and employees
This company is terrible, I am on my second purchase from them and they consistently manage to make it a terrible experience. My first purchase was from the Bolingbrook location where the salesman blatantly lied about the current sale on a couch. This time I spend $1,500 on a mattress and the salesman inputs the incorrect information into the system so they deliver the wrong mattress. Now we are waiting an entire week with a terrible mattress they delivered. This is the last time I ever buy anything from this company they can't seem to get the simplest items correctly. After trying to cancel my order I have been passed around to several “managers” who have told me the cancellation was done. Then I speak to someone today and he says that they will not refund me in anyway. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and a complaint with the BBB.

I've had nothing but problems from customer service people and all the lies they tell you when your furniture doesn t show up for over a month and didn't give us are leather cleaning solution and made more excuses. Then we needed a mattress and seen they were having a sale so we bought one online and it said pick a date to pick up so pick a day then call to make sure it's there and they say we don't recieve deliveries today lol so I ask why did it let me choose that day and they make more excuses and it's been over a week and still don't have the mattress. I'm cutting up our card and will never go back.
Horrible cheap furniture. Unprofessional sales people!
Horrible, horrible & horrible. We had to have 5 sets delivered to us because of defects. The delivery guys proceeded to scratch our hardwood floors. Which they fixed months later. They finally allowed us to come & get something else. The furniture we currently have/picked out is junk too! The fabric has flaws & there are marks on the fabric where you sit. The recliner doesn't work at all now & I still owe $1500 on it! It's junk now! DO NOT go to ArtVan if you want nice furniture!

In February 2017 I went to art Van on court st in Burton to buy my then 14 yr old daughter a mattress. The cost for the mattress was$270, the salesman said if I paid for a waterproof cover the mattress would be covered for 10 yrs, no matter what happened to it as long as it was covered with the protector. One side of the mattress collapsed almost a yr ago but from moving I had to find the papers. I called and talked to the warrantee Dept and they had a tech come out to inspect the mattress. The tech said it broke down from my daughter sitting on the side of her bed. My daughter can not sit like that because she has sciolosis, she has to sit with back support and I had told he tech this, now art Van will not honor the warrantee. The man who sold it to me lied about the warrantee, the waterproof cover, it turns out, has a ten year warrantee, not the mattress. Art Van should be making this right with me but I doubt they will do anything about it. I got screwed out of $360 and they aren't doing anything about it!

My 11 yr old grand daughter who was actually 10 at the time , and myself got locked in the Taylor Store when they closed for the night. No announcement of closing nor did anyone walk around to make sure customers were gone.
This terrified my grandbaby whom had nightmares afterwards. I also hurt my forearm and went to the Emergency room due to trying to get out of automatic doors as suggested by police. You think they would have at least gave my grand daughter a bedroom set but No ...Nothing.
We were relaxing in massing chairs fully awake and did not realized they closed early that day. They promised a gift.card which I never received.
Guess I should call THE HALL OF SHAME.
Bought a couch a year and a half ago…
Bought a couch a year and a half ago and already falling apart. Within a month the cushions started fraying at the seams and it took 3 months to get replacements after calling 3 times. I am so disappointed in this couch and this company in general and will never buy from them again
