The customer service was great. The individual who helped me was Harley at the Midwest City branch located on Douglas Blvd.

I just came online to see how bad their…

I just came online to see how bad their credit rating is, after getting a phone call from them tonight from their mortgage collections division. I told her I sent an online pymt thru my other bank last night, including the late fee. I screwed up my auto payment when escrow changed. So I told her, I've had this mtg 20 yrs, never late, I missed the pymt by FIVE days and your calling me? Why don't you just txt or email? Here's the good part.. her reply was, "Our INVESTORS require a phone call". Instantly reminded me of why I closed all accts except my low interest mtg several years ago, because they screwed up my families accounts one too many times. When I heard that reply, I told her, "We're done. I sounds to me that Arvest is in trouble, if your "investors" have you on a 5 day late short leash and hung up on her. Word of caution for anyone that does business with them. They are a Private bank. I didn't know that until I called my state banking commissioner over gross errors that they dragged their heels on, repeatedly. My state does NOT regulate private banks. I then called the banking commissioner in AR and told him I'd file a complaint with him in a week if Arvest didn't fly right after continual competency issues that could drag out for months to resolve. Then I notified the local bank. within a week it was resolved and I closed our my bank accounts immediately. Don't be fooled by their folksy physical branches. When there is an issue, they like to drag out their error and make you wait for your money they misappropriated. I'm not the only one locally that has closed their accounts. Not one problem with the new bank and I no longer have to repeat myself to get correct service 💡

Holly Counts Customer Service Hotline

I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Holly Counts from the Arvest customer service hotline, and I cannot say enough good things about her. From the moment she answered the call, she was kind, patient, and genuinely willing to help.
she took the time to listen, understand my situation, and made sure everything was handled correctly. She explained things clearly, stayed professional the entire time, and made me feel like my concerns actually mattered.
It’s rare to come across someone who goes above and beyond the way she did. Customer service like this is hard to find these days, and Holly truly stands out. She turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a smooth and positive experience.
Arvest is lucky to have her!!

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars. Worst customer experience of my 45 years dealing with a bank. Do yourself a favor and find any other bank besides Arvest. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Their customer service is terrible and they will fee you to death. Then when you ask questions you get condescending answers from Steph Gros. If that's even her real name. Read the online reviews of this bank. They are terrible.

No access to money in foreign country

My son has been in Brazil for two months without reliable access to his money due to Arvest Bank's repeated failures. Before he left, we clearly explained to Arvest that he would be in Brazil for an extended period, needed dependable credit and debit cards, and wanted me added to the account so I could manage it if needed. Arvest assured us everything was set up and there would be no problems.
The moment he arrived, his card stopped working. When I contacted Arvest, they refused to speak with me because I “wasn’t the primary account holder,” even though I had been added for exactly this reason. After weeks of back-and-forth, providing a Power of Attorney, and placing multiple travel notices, they finally reactivated his card — only for it to stop working again within days. That was almost a month ago, and nothing has been resolved since.
In the meantime, my son has had to rely on emergency cash and the kindness of others just to eat — at times surviving on one meal a day. Every time I call, I’m told “the card should be working,” yet it never does.
The last call was especially frustrating. I spoke with a fraud department supervisor named Tabitha, who was rude from the beginning. After verifying the account yet again, she claimed the information was incorrect, refused to help, blocked access entirely, and would not let me speak with anyone else.
Arvest Bank has completely failed to support us. We’ve faced nothing but misinformation, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. If you’re considering Arvest — I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Arvest employees don’t do what they say

I always have trouble with this bank setting up my business accounts. It doesn’t matter if you go in person or do over the phone. Recent interaction Arvest closed a business account without contacting me. I had to open a new one. After I was passed around on the phone A lady asked me 100 questions then said she would send a Docusign and she would call to make sure I received. This was at 12:30pm. At 5pm no emails sent no phone call. Called Arvest the lady on the phone said she couldn’t see anything and the business office left at 5pm. I will say they are friendly on the phone but don’t do what they say . I can go down a list of other times I receive the okie doke from the staff. I’m currently in the process of looking for another bank

DON'T USE THIS BANK.

Bank helps fraud, will not help you

Complaint Against: Arvest Bank – Fraud Department

I am filing this complaint due to Arvest Bank's failure to protect my account from unauthorized charges totaling approximately $3,000. These fraudulent charges were processed without requiring a PIN or any form of verification, including purchases under names such as "Moilly Mole," a Peppa Pig character, and repeated transactions with suspicious amounts like $666 and $222.22, until my account was completely drained.

What is particularly troubling is that Arvest has repeatedly flagged and blocked my card for routine, legitimate purchases—such as buying a Coke from the office vending machine—which caused me public embarrassment when my card declined. I had to spend over an hour each time calling the bank to restore access.

Despite this excessive caution on small, consistent charges, the fraud department failed to detect or stop the clearly abnormal and unauthorized activity that emptied my account. It appears there is little to no fraud monitoring during weekends, when many of these charges occurred.

To date, Arvest Bank has taken no meaningful steps to assist or restore my stolen funds. I am deeply disappointed in the bank’s lack of accountability and am seeking immediate resolution and reimbursement.

Worse experience ever

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am extremely disappointed with my experience handling an auto loan through Arvest Bank. After purchasing a vehicle, I attempted to set up automatic bi-weekly payments and requested that my wife be added to the account so she could speak on our behalf. Despite calling multiple times and submitting the auto-payment form via email on three separate occasions, it took over three months for a single one-time payment to be processed.

The payment schedule was supposed to be bi-weekly, yet payments have not been applied consistently or correctly. On top of that, I have requested the necessary form to add my wife to the account four times and still have not received it.

I even spoke with a manager a month ago, who assured me that everything would be resolved. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. This lack of follow-through and poor communication has been incredibly frustrating. I expected better service and accountability.

Well to start with

Well to start with! Me and my wife were trying to pay Arvest loan off ! We and our mortgage company called for a pay off ! What they told us was sent to them by certified mail on 4/02/25 ! We called on 04/26/25 ! And they told us we needed and additional $330.00 in interest ! Now tell me when you get a payout ! Explain to me how this happened ! So calling them and yes we were angry but wanted an explanation of how and why this occurred ! After BS talked the manager hung up on us ! Well on 4/30/25 we got the certified card that they received it on 04/24/25 ! My theory is they held it to collect the interest ! So long story short we paid it and I just what to reach out to others that this Arvest company is very dishonest and I any not stopping here to see others don’t get the same treatment ! Yeah one other thing would after paying a loan off early you should get a refund ! They laughed in a way when I asked that ! I’m done here but going to keep alerting others of this business !!

We invested in a CD and then moved to…

We invested in a CD and then moved to Texas. This makes the nearest branch 3 hours away one way. When the CD matured, they sent us an un-endorsed cashier's check. When we called to inform them they said they'd call us back and its been 2 weeks no call back yet. They want us to mail the check back, so they can say they didn't get it. They could cancel the check, they could wire the money but nope

Do NOT bank here if you want to access your money

AWFUL. I paused my card on the app while I investigated a charge I didn't recognize. After some digging I realized I did know what it was. When I tried to unfreeze it the app gave me an error so I called to get it straightened out. I was told my card never actually was frozen in the first place.

Well the customer service lady was wrong, my card is frozen, I cannot make any purchases, I cannot log into the app and I can't get ahold of anyone from customer service. Why even run a bank if you won't let people have their money? The incompetence is overwhelming.

Excluding the interest rate, Arvest is a continuous negative experience.

After a series of frustrating experiences with Arvest, I felt compelled to write my first-ever review of a mortgage company and I am doing on multiple sites. I own multiple properties and have worked with various companies, but my interactions with Arvest have consistently been disappointing.

Recently, I received a letter requesting proof of insurance, even though it had already been submitted. I sent the documents again, ensuring all the necessary details were included. Less than 30 days later, they acknowledged receipt but claimed the policy was missing the "Deductible." However, the document clearly listed "Deductibles" along with the percentages and amounts (1% & $2,530). It seems whoever reviewed the document failed to properly read or understand the information provided.

While they do offer competitive interest rates, their lack of organization, poor communication, and repeated mishandling of paperwork make them a frustrating company to deal with. If you have another option with a comparable rate, I strongly recommend choosing the other lender.
