The product is hit or miss, over a 13 year period I have had to replace this type of pump 8 times. I will add though that my pool set up involves the use of 2 of these pumps, (solar heating & filtration). They tend to last just over the period of warranty expiration but I have no idea as to what their expected longevity from the manufacturers viewpoint. The latest pump I purchased has failed in just 12 months so hopefully Davey will fix or replace under the warranty, problem is that I need to buy another pump to keep the pool running in the interim. I have been caught in the past keeping an extra pump on hand as a spare and running down the warranty whilst it sits unused, thus when used it breaks down outside the initial purchase date despite it not being used for much of the period. The pump when running is quiet and the price point is not excessive in comparison to other pumps available

It's a great retro fit for my previous Davey pump and a lot quieter. Good price, free delivery from one end of the country to the other and fairly quick delivery too.

This is the second (improved) generation of Davey Silensor SLS . The power lead comes out from the middle of the motor , not at the bottom as the first generation. Hope it last long
