Askavetonline is the worst I ever experienced, 5 months ago I called them with a question about my kitty, I paid 5 dollars, my kitty passed away the next day and Askavetonline is taking already 5... See more

It is a bait and switch do not sign up for them I was charged eight months for their service till I finally figured out I was being billed for services I never signed up for
This is a scam
This is a scam - they act like it's a one-time payment per call but it's not. They sign you up for a monthly membership without telling you or asking for confirmation. I got charged $70 for a monthly membership I didn't want or know about. Also the vet that I talked to was unhelpful and seemed rushed to get me off the phone. The call probably lasted 30 seconds. This feels like they're taking advantage of people who are desperate and scared. Don't waste your time or money just go to the vet in person.

The cost says 5 dollars and you get a 70 dollar fee- do not trust the price
Shocking
Shocking. Utter robbery. Cant give them a lower rating.
Asked about emergency medicine over weekend. Bot doing initial triage clearly not set up to help. Spent £5.00 and had to give up my ID details to be told something that could have easily been picked up by the bot. Don’t bother with them
Fraudsters
I asked a question ONE time and they continued to charge me a monthly fee. They refused to refund my money and were extremely rude. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU.
They need to stop scamming people
They need to stop scamming people into an undesired monthly subscription and then make it impossible to cancel.
TOTAL SCAM
Called late at night because our pet was very sick. Didn't get too much value for the call and now they are charging me $65 per month for a reocuring membership which we never signed up for. TOTAL SCAM! Do not give them your credit card!!!
Worthless AND Dishonest
I had used askavetonline.com once to consult about our cat that we had to put to sleep 2 months ago. They weren't much help because, well, they were wherever they were and our cat was with us.
Now, 2 months after she's no longer alive, they decided that today (Sunday) would be a great time to put another charge on our credit card for $65. I went online with them logged into their chat. I told what the problem was and they wanted me to put another charge on my credit card to talk to someone about it. I WAS born at night, but not LAST night, so I decided to come here to let people know that not only are they essentially worthless, but also dishonest.
HORRIBLE AND MISLEADING SERVICE
HORRIBLE AND MISLEADING SERVICE. What was supposed to be a $5 call turned into a $65.00 repeated monthly credit card charge with ZERO customer service (non AI) to dispute and cancel. STAY AWAY FROM ASKAVETONLINE.COM!!!! I am reporting them to the BBB. Super shady company.
Do NOT use "Ask a Vet Online".
One night at 3 pm my furbaby went into convulsions. I looked Ocean State Vet Clinic. When I click on something it went to "askavetonline.com". I never used the site, instead I took him right in when my boyfriend saw me having issues. Well I guess that 5.00 if you want to "talk" to a vet is the scam. Once they get ur account they bill me 65.00 randomly often. 3 times I wrote to them to cancel asap and never did I hear back. End result, im going Wednesday to get a new card. All of this..... why?! This group is a total scam. Please if in need and your upset pls go to the emergency vet. These phone vets is a scam and waste of so much time.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. We had an urgent question about our dog, paid the $5 fee and have somehow been signed up for a recurring monthly fee of $65 with no way to cancel on the website. We just got charged again today. Since it was done with a debit card we are going to have to cancel that card and replace it.
The cost was a surprise
The vet was awesome. Very helpful. Very knowledgeable. However the $44.00 charge that showed up was a big, unwanted surprise.
Askavetonline or just answer ripped me off
I was told that I would be charged five dollars to talk to a vet about my concerns about my pet. They charged my card $70 basically and ripped me off. How stupid I was to not read these reviews before putting my charge card up there I had to cancel it.the telephone number they leave with the bank where the charges are is ‘just answer’ so who’s ripping me off I don’t know. Maybe ‘just answer’ is. A bunch of crooks.
This site is a scam
This site is a scam - Buyer beware. I was charged $60 for an inaccurate diagnosis while we were traveling and away from our Vet. THEN they hit my CC the following month with an unauthorized subscription fee. I notified the bank and cancelled my CC card. Just Answer is an affiliated part of the SCAM.
Scam never use this service
Scam never use this service , they trick you into a low payment as trial & & then take recurring payments Never ever use them
I reached out about a flea med chewable…
I reached out about a flea med chewable that needs a rx. I think the Vet Assistant was AI. After letting her know my needs, she said "pay $5 to speak with a vet, all you have to do is fill out the credit card form below". While reviewing the form, I noticed a small yellow box underneath with the disclaimer to pay $5 today, then $65 for this month's service and then $65 each month after. I guess I was taking too long to enter my card info because she started spamming me with "enter your card info", enter your card info now". I felt pressured. I didnt enter it because I wanted to know whats the monthly reoccurring for? The blue-chat box we were initially communicating in that wouldnt let respond/ reply to her anymore, yet she kept telling me "just enter you info, have a vet ready" but instead of the blue chat, her messages were in a black chat box that also wouldn't let me respond. Because I was unable to ask the vet assist. anymore questions after the credit card form popped up, I left the site. Sketchy!
CREDIT CARD SCAMMERS! Do not use.
I contacted Askavetonline one time and got some good advice for an emergency situation and was charged $43.00. I paid with a credit card. The following month I received another $43.00 charge that I never authorized. My bank picked up the fraudulent charge and notified me and canceled the card. Do not use this service!
Beware of this service
Beware of this service! It was only supposed to charge $5.00 for a 4 minute call. They creeped back in and charged $65.00, tried to dispute the charge and no phone number, tried to contact them through the website and no answer. I believe they work from a foreign Country because the person we talked too could barley speak English.
Biggest Ripoff I Have Ever Encountered
First of all they advertise that a specific question can be answered for $5.00 so I made the call and gave them my credit card for payment of $5.00. When I received my credit card bill I noticed another charge from this rip off company for $65.00 and set up for recurring! These details were not explained to me what so ever that I would be charged again for a $5.00 question which by the way I was givin incorrect information! If I could give this company the correct rating it would be a negative 5. Don't waste your valuable time and money on this fraudulent outfit and call a real vet who's honest and trustworthy!
Fraudulent & a total scam!
Fraudulent & a total scam!
They fraudulently signed me up for a recurring monthly charge, despite the fact that they are located in the US and they cannot provide the service here in Ireland.
